Chapter 427
The Billionaire’s Maid Bride
âSo, my buddy here, heâs loaded. Dude wonât let Allison lift a finger, I promise.â
Grace was kind of sickly, and sheâd been on the hunt for a boyfriend for Allison for a while now. She just wanted to know that Allison would be set for life. If Allison had a good guy, she could rest easy. But Allison was not about that blind date life.
If the guyâs family was loaded and he treated Allison right, Grace would be over the moon.
Penelope went on, âGrace, Iâm just trying to help. You ainât gonna turn me down, are ya?â
Grace looked at Penelope, lying on the hospital bed, looking all pale and weak. Penelope had just come back from a bad accident, and Grace couldnât say no to her. âAlright, Iâll tell Allison when I get home.â
Penelope cracked a smile. âGrace, I get kinda bored here. If you have time, come visit me more often.
Lately, Iâve been having a hard time sleeping at night. I dream about you a lot. I remember how you used to take care of me when I was a kid.â
Hearing this, Grace smiled too. âWell, Iâve been wanting to come see you. You have no idea how much I worried when you were unconscious.â
Grace wished she could visit Penelope in the hospital every day. After leaving the hospital, she hit up the supermarket and picked up some fresh veggies, planning to make a nice soup for Penelope tomorrow.
Back at the hospital, after Grace left, Penelope let out a little smile. She grabbed her phone and dialed a number.
Tristan was from a wealthy family, but he was a total playboy. The dude got busted for soliciting a few days ago. His dad, Bill, had to pull some strings to bail him out. Two weeks after Tristan got out of jail, heâd got a new girlfriend.
Tristanâs mom was hoping heâd settle down with a nice girl. That way, heâd stop messing around with other women and start leading a normal life.
Tristanâs mom had played cards with Leah a few times and had been to the Flanagan familyâs place a couple of times.
Tristanâs family, although nouveau riche, had a strong local influence. Not many families would pick a fight with them. The Flanagan family didnât have any business dealings with Tristanâs family in the past, but now that theyâd teamed up with the Lindberg family and expanded their business, so theyâd started working with Tristanâs family.
âHey, Aliza, itâs Penelope.â
âPenelope, whatâs up?â
âAliza, is Tristan seeing anyone?â
The mere mention of this made Tristanâs mother sigh heavily. âNo, donât even bring him up. Gives me a headache. I heard you woke up, and I was planning to see you. Howâve you been? Any discomfort? So glad youâre okay. Thank heavens.â
Penelope didnât call to chit-chat.
âAliza, I have a friend. You know her, Allison. We grew up together.â
Aliza didnât remember much about Allison. âUh⦠Whatâs up with her?â
âAliza, is Tristan still single? I have a friend whoâs really great. I was thinking of introducing her to Tristan. Her momâs our housekeeper, and we know everything about her. Let me know when Tristanâs free.â
Aliza nodded. âAlright, Iâll give you Tristanâs contact info. Tell Allison that I donât care about her familyâs financial status. As long as sheâs a kind girl from a good family, thatâs all that matters. You guys grew up together, so I trust your judgment.â
After hanging up, Penelope set her phone aside and turned on the TV. Watching her favorite show, she suddenly noticed her leg wasnât hurting as much. Tristan had a crush on her back in high school. Even though she wasnât into guys like Tristan, she never outright rejected him because of his familyâs wealth.
Plus, Tristan had gifted her a few designer bags, so they had a bit of a fling.
Allison and Penelope looked a lot alike, so Allison was totally Tristanâs type.
Tristan was the kind of guy whoâd relentlessly pursue someone he was into. If he fell for Allison, she wouldnât stand a chance of getting away
