Chapter 429
The Billionaire’s Maid Bride
âLeo took her up on her offer to go see a movie and they even hit the library together.â
Allison clutched Sadieâs hand. âIâm gonna give Leo a piece of my mind.â
Sadie looked lost and nervous.
Allison whipped out her cell and dialed Leo. She knitted her brows. âWhere you at?â
Originally, the script had Olivia calling Leo, to get some answers for Megan.
There was silence on the other end of the phone. Allison went along with the script.
However, Sadie snatched the phone from her. âLeo, did you really go see a movie with Yara? And you two hit the library at night? You werenât like this before, Leo.â
Behind the CCTV, Conrad frowned.
Originally, Megan was outgoing, beautiful, and cheerful. She didnât want to come between her and Yaraâs friendship, so she was saddened to know about Leo and Yara, but she always kept it to herself.
But now, Sadie had changed the script and lines, and she put herself in a bad light.
Conrad frowned, he couldnât stand it anymore. âCut-â
Sadie looked at Conrad. âMr. Conrad.â
Conrad said, âSadie, who told you to change the script? Better stick to the original, you know Ms. Cathy doesnât like it when you change the lines, andâ¦â
And Sadieâs behavior didnât match the character at all.
Filming was temporarily halted. Sadieâs sweet talk didnât work on Conrad, so she had to stick to the original script. Filming resumed, but Sadie forgot her lines.
âOlivia, what do I do? I donât want to put them in a tough spot. But when I close my eyesâ¦â She paused for two seconds, Sadie still couldnât remember her lines.
Allison softly picked up the second half. âBut when I close my eyes, I think about the times when Yara and I played in the park as kids. I fell into the artificial lake, and Yara struggled to save me. She almost got swept in herself. I canât believe, canât believe she would go and -see Leo behind my back. She couldâve told me, and if I knew she liked Leo too, I couldâve backed off, but now, Leo and I are already a couple, and we even planned to go to college together.â
Sadie gritted her teeth. âSorry, I forgot my lines.â
Emma quickly brought over the script, and Sadie hastily memorized it.
Conrad was a bit surprised. He stared at Allisonâs delicate side profile, her voice softly delivering the lines, at that moment, and Conrad thought that the lead role would be more suitable for Allison. He never thought a young non-professional artist could deliver lines so. well.
For a moment, with her gentle voice delivering the lines, it felt especially story-like. She could really get into the character of Megan. Turned out, that she came to the set empty-handed, not bringing the script, because she had already memorized the lines and even the lines of the other characters.
Conrad changed his opinion of her. Maybe she was like a pearl hidden in the dust, and one day, she would shine. Conrad became intensely interested in her. âAllison, what was your job before?â
Allison turned with a small smile on her face. âMy job before? Two months ago, I was a waitress.â
Conrad pulled out his phone, admiring her. âI just realized, I donât have your contact, you wouldnât mind exchanging contacts with me, would you?â
While Sadie was memorizing her lines, an assistant handed over the phone, and Allison and Conrad exchanged contacts.
Ten minutes later, filming resumed.
