In the private room, Cathy was among the crowd, Allison didn’t have much interaction with her on set.

Even though Cathy was the head director, she had been swamped handling international award nominations in the past half month. She was always on the run.

Sadie’s scenes were mainly directed by Conrad, while Allison’s were mainly handled by Mr. Simonds.

She had only met Cathy a few times. At 39, Cathy was one of the youngest and most reputable female directors in showbiz. She was wearing a light blue gauze dress, and her long hair was flowing freely.

She had a remarkable aura, sharp eyes, and an extremely elegant manner of speaking and behaving.

“I’ve seen the edited footage. Allison; your performance is superb.” Cathy praised, “Mr. Simonds often speaks highly of you.”

Allison was surprised, Mr. Simonds had been praising her? She thought maybe Cathy was just being courteous. But on second thought, a big shot like Cathy had no reason to pander to a small potato like her.

Allison looked at Mr. Simonds, “Thank you, Mr. Simonds.”

Mr. Simonds was a bit uncomfortable being exposed by Cathy in front of everyone. He glanced at Cathy, seemingly finding her a bit annoying. Cathy chuckled, “Mr. Simonds, you were praising Allison’s excellent performance just last night while watching the edit Mr. Simonds rolled his eyes at Cathy. “Sorry, I’m late.” Mia walked in, “I was shooting an ad and lost track of time.”

Cathy said, “You’re not late, perfect timing.”

Allison passed the menu to Mia. Mia was currently on a diet, and she complained, “After this film, I have to start shooting another drama. My manager insists I lose weight before we start! I’ll just have a fruit salad.”

Looking at the meat in front of Allison, Mia was envious, “Allison, I really envy you, I want to eat too.

But if my manager finds out, I’ll get an earful.”

Mia’s arrival livened up the atmosphere. She was naturally beautiful and knew how to keep spirits high.

She got along well with Cathy and Mr. Simonds on set. She was outgoing, informal, and could get along with anyone.

Conrad asked, “Mia, what’s your next project?”

Mia replied, “My next drama is a piece called Moonriver.”

Conrad nodded, “It’s a big-budget production, so make sure you nail it.”

Mia chuckled, the lead actress of the drama was the popular Willow, who played the main role in a hit drama earlier this year.

Willow was originally a singing and dancing artist, but she successfully transitioned to acting. Mia was casting as the second female lead in the drama, which was a substantial role.

Her manager had fought hard for this role, which originally belonged to her coworker. But the coworker wasn’t satisfied with playing the second fiddle, so the opportunity fell into Mia’s lap.

Mia didn’t want to miss out on such a great opportunity, so she agreed almost immediately, joining the cast right after she wrapped up her previous drama, without taking a single day off.

“By the way, Allison, have you decided on your next project?” While munching on her salad, Mia said, “Epic Entertainment has a lot of dramas lined up this year. Allison, you don’t have to be too picky, just join the crew if the schedule fits.”

She had learned a bit about Allison during filming, who was quite frugal. Even her phone was an outdated model. Probably because her pay wasn’t much.

Allison chuckled, knowing Mia was hoping she could do more filming and earn more money.

“Not yet.” Allison replied, “I’m not in a rush.”

Mr. Simonds snorted, “People in love naturally wouldn’t feel rushed.”

Allison was choked by the sudden sarcasm, shrugging her shoulders.
