Chapter 444
The Billionaire’s Maid Bride
In the morning, the two got worn out from shopping and decided to hit the cinema.
Allison pointed at a movie poster, âLetâs watch this one, itâs a perfect blockbuster.â
âWhy do you say that?â Daisy asked..
Allison explained, âFrom the studio to the producers, then to the director and actors, theyâre all pros in the blockbuster game. Plus, itâs full of laughs and feels all the way. Sure, there are some parts that seem out of place. But itâs made by a company thatâs good at making crowd-pleasers. Generally, their blockbusters rake in over a billion at the box office. You could call that a success.â
âBoswell Entertainment.â Daisy glanced at the distributorâs name, âYou sure know your stuff. This name rings a bell though.â
Allison looked at Daisy seriously, âItâs the Boswell familyâs entertainment company.â
Daisyâs face changed, âThen Iâm not watching it.â
They were about to change their tickets, but only this movie had showtimes available. The other movies were either trashy, comedies, or cartoons, but all required waiting for half an hour. So, they ended up choosing this movie.
Halfway through, Daisy admitted, âThis movie is actually pretty good.â
The film had been out for over ten days and had already grossed 1.7 billion. Todayâs showings were few and far between, and they just happened to catch this one.
âI heard that Boswell Entertainment is run by Wilton Boswell.â Allison said.
âWhoâs Wilton?â Daisy was confused.
âHeâs the second son of the Boswell family.â Allison answered.
Daisy was taken aback, âThe second son?â
Allison nodded, âDaisy, when you get to the Boswell family, you need to learn to keep your cool. The Boswell family is known for their intense infighting. Rumor has it that the eldest son of the Boswell family got sick because of the family struggles.â
Daisy nodded solemnly, âI get it. Donât worry, Iâll be careful.â Saying this, she tightly held Allisonâs hand.
Allison naturally hoped her friend could be happy, but she knew the Boswell family was not a place where Daisy could live happily.
After leaving the cinema, Daisy booked lunch. The restaurant was on the sixth floor food court, so they decided to take the elevator.
Allison spotted a flower shop on the fifth floor, so she took Daisy to pick out some bouquets.
The shop assistant asked with a smile, âWhat kind of flowers are you looking for, ladies? Are they for your room or a gift?â
Allison replied, âTheyâre for a friend whoâs seriously ill. Weâre going to visit her.â
âHow old is she?â The assistant asked.
âIn her twenties.â Allison said.
âYou could choose lavender or roses. They are our fresh arrivals today. Have a look.â The assistant said.
Daisy asked, âWho are you buying flowers for? Whoâs sick?â
âWho else, Penelope.â Allison replied.
Daisy laughed, pointing at a bunch of white carnations, âThen weâll take these.â She told the assistant, âWrap up 19 of these. Weâre going to grab lunch first and pick it up afterwards.â
âAlright, ladies, enjoy your meal.â The assistant said.
Allison and Daisy headed to the food court. Daisy had booked a newly opened restaurant. It was the restaurantâs grand opening today, with all sorts of member discounts, making the place almost packed.
Daisy had booked in advance.
The name of the restaurant had an artistic touch.
âThis restaurant is opened by a college mate of mine, so Iâm here to show some support.â Daisy said.
âWhich classmate? How come I donât know?â Allison took a bite of the shrimp, it was delicious.
âItâsâ¦â Daisy looked around. The restaurant had only ten private rooms, four upstairs and the rest were individual tables.
With waiters bustling around, Daisy lowered her voice, âItâs Brady, He pursued you once, even sent you cakes and fruits through me.â
Allison remembered, âWhy didnât you tell me earlier?â
