Chapter 456
The Billionaire’s Maid Bride
Upon hearing the words âvery weakâ, the corners of Minaâs eyes crinkled in amusement. She picked up her cup of coffee, taking a slow sip, âDaisy, youâre a sharp one, I like working with smart folks. Once youâre hitched into the Boswell family, you stick with Frances and keep me in the loop about his every move. When Frances is out of the picture, youâll get a 6% share of Boswell Enterprises. You should know thatâs a boatload of money.â
Daisy responded, âI get that, but I think this dealâs not quite fair. Suppose he stays hale and hearty, then Iâd be missing out on this golden opportunity. I might never get my hands on those shares.ââ
Mina replied, âThree years, just three years. Even if Frances is still alive and kicking, youâll get your share of Boswell Enterprises. And your Santos Jewels business will be skyrocketing because of it.â
Daisy said, âIf thatâs the case, Mina, Iâm much obliged.â
Lately, Emma had been picking out scripts for Allison. Allison had got some serious acting chops and she trusted Emma, even having her transferred from Sadie. Emma felt the need to bust her hump to live up to Allisonâs faith in her. Even though she had accumulated some resources as an executive agent, they seemed paltry compared to Epic Entertainment.
Emma wasnât in a hurry to see returns, and in this, she and Allison were two peas in a pod, both valuing the roles in the scripts more.
One morning, Emma bagged a cameo role and immediately rang up Allison, âAllison, are you free this afternoon? Iâve got a killer script here.â
Allison glanced at her watch, put down her phone and said, âAfternoon? Iâm all tied up, how about evening?â Then she turned to her mom, âMom, can we hit the road now?â
Grace, who was changing in her bedroom, came out and said, âSure, letâs get a move on. I told Penelope youâd drop by, and she was over the moon when she heard.â
Allison smiled and said, âReally?â
Grace knew Allison wasnât a big fan of Penelope, so she didnât lay it on thick about Penelope to avoid making things worse.
âLetâs hit the road, Allie.â Grace said.
After Allison agreed, they headed downstairs. She had already called the driver, who was waiting for them. Grace looked at Allison and said, âAllie, your driverâs here.â
The driver was driving a low-key Mercedes. It looked low-key, but the quality of the car was clearly high-end.
Grace knew Allison had signed with Epic Entertainment and assumed this was the companyâs arrangement for Allison. Only Allison knew that this was prepared by Lucian. Available 24/7.
âMs. Zimmer, where are we headed?â Tom, the driver, asked.
Allison told the driver the name of a flower shop, and the driver parked the car not far from the building.
Then he fetched a fresh bouquet of carnations, Allison took them and said, âMom, this is for Penelope.â
At her age, Grace didnât know much about flower types and their meanings, she just thought they were beautiful and the fragrance was intoxicating. Seeing Allison taking the initiative to give Penelope flowers, and their relationship improving, made her heart happy.
âBeautiful, Allie chose really beautiful flowers.â Grace said.
About twenty minutes later, they arrived at the door of the ward.
Margo was already waiting at the door, as soon as she saw Allison and Grace, she said, âThe young lady has been waiting for you.â Her gaze was fixed on Allison. Every time she saw Allison, Margo was reminded of her injured leg. But she couldnât do anything to her, she could only seethe in silence.
