“Dr. Jade, you sure are confident. Did it ever occur to you that maybe he just doesn’t like you?” Allison really didn’t want to keep arguing with Jade. “Why don’t you ask Dr. Dylan if he likes you? Arguing with me is pointless. I have a boyfriend, and we’re very happy.”

Jade blanched, and more people started to gather. A nurse walked over. “Allison, you should go…” She whispered, seemingly aware of Jade’s tendency to make a scene. “Just ignore her.”

Grace, who had been inside, came out at Jade’s call. She looked stunned, an IV drip in her hand.

Allison was shocked that Jade, a doctor, would disregard medical ethics like this. She clenched her fists and slowly turned around.
