Chapter 496
The Billionaire’s Maid Bride
Kendra stole a glance at Allison. Allison seemed to have completely ignored her. Her eyes were shut while Jay, the makeup artist, worked diligently. The eyeliner was done, and the eyeshadow color was light, just the way Allison liked it.
Jay wasnât a fan of heavy, gaudy colors either; Allisonâs eyes were beautiful enough on their own.
Allison remained silent, and Jay did the same. He sighed secretly, wondering how much of big shot Sadie was for her to send her assistant to poach another starâs makeup artist.
After all, both Allison and Sadie belonged to the same company, Epic Entertainment. Wasnât this a blatant slap in Allisonâs face? It seemed that the kinder one was, the more likely they were to be taken advantage of. Allison, seemed to be the gentle type.
Such people were bound to be at a disadvantage.
Kendra said, âEmma, Sadie is the lead today, so naturally, she needs the best makeup. Besides, isnât Jay done with Allisonâs makeup? She canât hog the makeup artist forever, can she?â
Allison opened her eyes. Her voice was soft. âJay, thank you. Would you mind going over to Sadieâs place now?â
Jay had indeed almost finished Allisonâs makeup. He didnât want to offend any of Epic Entertainmentâs talents, especially Sadie. Everyone knew Sadie had landed the lead role in Cathyâs movie and became an up-and-coming starlet, so she reluctantly followed Kendra.
Emma exclaimed, âHow could you let Jay go, Allison? Isnât that like giving them a foot up? Sadie is just using Sidneyâs backing to casually poach other peopleâs makeup artists.â
Allison replied, âThereâs no need to make a fuss over something so trivial. Iâm ready for filming at any time. Besides, Jay is just a worker, why should she offend Sadie because of me?!
Emma responded, âYouâre always thinking about others, Allison. You really have a good heart.â
Allison smiled casually. She knew, and she had experienced it, the hardships of the past.
Allison didnât leave the photography studio all morning. During breaks, she was busy with interviews. It was different for Sadie, who was surrounded by people catering to her every need. Maybe it was true what they said, the squeaky wheel gets the grease.
The photographer was from SUMI Studio. Allison was doing a studio shoot with a tall, white vase in the background. She wore a light blue dress, her eyes were half-closed, and her body was blending with the vase.
The photographer praised, âPerfect, absolutely perfect.â The shots were quickly developed, and he was extremely satisfied.
After the shoot, Allison sat to the side to rest.
Meanwhile, Sadie was shooting in the studio. After a few minutes, she complained that she was tired and refused to continue. The photographer glanced at the deputy editor, who nodded. âAlright, letâs take a break.â
Both Allison and Sadie were promoting a new phone model and a new movie by Cathy.
Allison was in a blue dress. Sadie was in a white dress.
Behind Sadie was a blue vase, and behind Allison was a white one.
Twin masterpieces.
During the break, the photographer looked at the semi-finished products. âAllisonâs shots are really good. Her gaze, her body language, everything is on point. Especially her eyes, theyâre stunning.â
The deputy editor agreed, âIndeed, she blends seamlessly with the tranquility of the white vase. These pictures are all quite good, almost no wasted shots.â
As for Sadieâs pictures, the photographer sighed and started editing. Sadie had a pretty face, which was perfect for the fresh and sweet look. But her face wasnât suitable for large-scale fashion shoots.
There was no sense of fashion, and her expressiveness was average, as if she was isolated from the fashion world.
