Chapter 499

“Alright, then I’ll just watch,” Allison’s gaze gently swept across the room, landing on the deputy editor, Aliana. “Aliana, I don’t want to delay the shoot. Let’s continue with mine.”

Still reeling from the shock, Aliana managed to stammer out, “Okay, right away.”

Allison’s composure was hardly that of an ordinary person. Sadie, on the other hand, was all fiery ambition, like a nouveau riche lady. And Allison, she was all grace and elegance.

As the photographer resumed shooting Allison, she seemed to pay no mind to Sadie at all. She ignored Sadie’s threats completely.

Emma, on the other hand, was filled with self–reproach. If she hadn’t stepped in earlier, perhaps things wouldn’t have escalated this way. She knew that Allison’s foundation in Epic Entertainment was shallow; she wasn’t in a position to challenge Sadie.

Meanwhile, Sadie was already dialing Sidney and Patty in a tearful frenzy.

Watching Allison during the shoot, Emma made up her mind that if Patty and Sidney arrived, she’d take the blame for everything. She couldn’t let Allison get involved.

Despite the drama, the work on the set continued. The crew had no sympathy for Sadie’s diva–like tantrum. Instead, they admired Allison’s cool demeanor. Two crew members even asked for Allison’s autograph., Sadie only had Kendra and an executive agent by her side. She held an ice pack to her face, and her teeth clenched in anger as if she wanted to rip Allison apart.

Kendra handed her an ice pack. “Wait till Patty and Sidney get here. They’ll make Allison pay!”

The icy touch on her cheek sent a burning sensation through Sadie. Holding the ice pack, she vowed, “I’ll make her kneel before me. I’ll make Sidney blacklist her!”

On the other side, Allison was calmly proceeding with her shoot. Unaffected by the drama, she finished quickly.

Unbeknownst to anyone, a crew member had secretly recorded the scene and passed it to a paparazzo: “Bro, I just caught something interesting.”

The paparazzo glanced at the footage. “Two nobodies, what’s so interesting?”

“You don’t have any big scoop anyway, you could use this to spice up your feed. This is Cathy’s leading lady we’re talking about.”

“Fair enough.”

Soon enough, Patty and Sidney arrived at the studio. As soon as she walked in, Sadie ran over as if she had seen her saviors. “Patty, Sidney, Allison hit me, look at my face!” Patty glanced at Sadie’s face.

The vivid handprint was hard to miss, but she couldn’t linger on it. Her gaze swept across the room to find Allison, sitting on a lounge chair. Years of experience as a talent agent told her to turn to Aliana.

“I’m sorry, but we need to halt this shoot. Please take your crew and leave.”

Aliana understood. This was a situation for Epic Entertainment to handle, they weren’t suited for it, and any further leaks would only worsen things.

“I understand.” Aliana nodded and led her crew away.

The studio felt empty with only Allison, Emma, Sadie, Kendra, an executive agent, and a couple of people Patty and Sidney brought along.

Sidney studied Sadie’s face. This was one of her talents, and now she was beaten up this badly. It made her blood boil. “What the hell happened here?”
