Chapter 501
The Billionaire’s Maid Bride
Patty shot a glance at Sidney, saying, âCease all activities that involve Sadie immediately. All of them.
Until the end of her contract.â
Sadie had only just started an eight-year contract with Epic Entertainment, and now Patty was implying a total blacklisting of Sadie.
Fear gripped Sadie. âPatty, I donât understand whatâs going on. I was the one who was attacked! Iâ¦
Patty, I apologize, please donât blacklist me.â
Patty didnât respond and left immediately after giving her orders.
Sidney panicked as well. It was her first time witnessing such a situation. She quickly caught up with Patty. âPatty, whatâs happening? Even if Sadie was in the wrong, itâs not necessary to blacklist her. You know she has several business contracts and is about to start filming a major movie. Her lead role in Cathyâs new show hasnât even aired yetâ¦â
âEnough!â Patty cut her off. âSidney, donât you get it?â
Sidney was indeed confused. âWhatâs so special about Allison? Isnât she just a low-tier newbie signed by the company?â
âSidney, do you have any idea that the person behind her could wipe Epic Entertainment off the map with just a word? To him, we are nothing more than ants in the capital world. His power is beyond your imagination.â
Sidney was shocked. Patty had been clear enough. Even if Sidney was a bit slow, she understood now.
Patty continued, âSadie brought this on herself. If you want to save her, be prepared to be blacklisted with her until the contract ends, and then, leave Epic Entertainment.â
Sidney quickly shook her head. âNo, no, noâ¦â She would never risk her career for Sadie!
Patty left with a cold face.
Sidney returned to the set and immediately cut ties with Sadie.
Sadie sank to the floor, with Kendra supporting her. They both felt like they were in a dream.
Emma also snapped back to reality from shock. She took a deep breath. She hadnât yet processed everything that had just happened.
Allison took out her phone and called Tom to come over. She had an afternoon appointment with Daisy.
While she was waiting for the car, Emma ram over. âAllison, youâ¦â
The shock in her eyes had not yet dissipated. What she had just experienced felt like a dream.
Allison looked at Emma, knowing that she would be an important sidekick in the future. She didnât want to keep Emma in the dark, but her relationship with Lucian was hard to explain.
Allison gave a small smile. Her hair was fluttering in the breeze across her pale cheeks. âShocked, arenât you?â
Emma nodded. âI always thought that youâ¦â She paused. She had always thought that Allison was just a newbie at Epic Entertainment who was suppressed and had no power. She had no idea that Allison had such a strong backer who could easily cause Sadie to be blacklisted.
After spending some time together, Emma had a good understanding of Allisonâs character. If it hadnât been for Sadie and her crewâs excessive bullying today, Allison wouldnât have lost her temper. She was always a kind, gentle, and patient person.
âAllison, youâre so powerful. Why did you ask me to be your manager?â Emma felt that she was not worthy of the position.
Even though she had been in the industry for several years, she had the lowest level of resources and connections. The only projects she could get were web dramas from directors whom she had entertained at dinners.
Allison held Emmaâs hand. âBecause I trust you, and I need you.â Her gaze was clear and sincere; her voice was gentle and firm.
Emma was taken aback. An unfamiliar sensation welled up in her heart. It had been a long time since she had felt this way. She squeezed Allisonâs hand back. âAllison, I canât promise anything else. I donât have much ability or resources, but I swear that I will never betray you. I will do my best!â
