Chapter 523
The Billionaire’s Maid Bride
She was on the verge of a meltdown, berating herself for having chosen to work with Penelope. This spoiled girl from the Flanagan family was not just overly sensitive but also stubborn, with a rude character and dismal professional competence. She could almost hear Pattyâs laughter in her ears.
Despite the fact that Allisonâs past as a housemaid had been exposed, there were hardly any negative comments about her on the internet. On the contrary, most people were giving her credit for achieving success through hard work.
The majority of the comments were praising Allison for her beauty and kindness.
The Public Relations team was in tears. âCharlie, we canât control the public opinion.â
Charlie lit a cigarette. Her phone was buzzing like crazy. It was Penelope calling. She knew that Penelope must be raging like a fly on a hot pan, ready to explode at her. This spoiled brat had no manners. If it had not been for the fact that she was the future lady of the Lindberg family, Charlie wouldnât have bothered. She picked up the call, and put it on speaker. Sure enough, Penelopeâs voice came through. She demanded that Charlie sort out the situation immediately. She didnât want to see a single negative comment about her, or else she would ask Charlie to get out of Epic Entertainment!
Charlie scoffed, and hung up. âThen we are not controlling it.â
The PR team looked at Charlie.
Charlie said, âAfter all, theyâre criticizing her, not us. Sheâs the one who posted on Twitter, bought trending topics, deleted comments because of her fragile ego, confronted the marketing accounts, and scolded others.â
The PR team nodded. In fact, they were tired of dealing with Penelopeâs temper. It was a thankless job.
Allison had just finished lunch. When she checked the trending topics, she didnât expect things to have escalated to this extent.
Emma on the other side said, âWhatâs gotten into this spoiled brat? Sheâs like a mad dog, biting everyone in sight.â
On the other hand, Patty, being the professional agent, immediately contacted Allisonâs college and got in touch with the vice-principal. Pattyâs network was extensive. Even the vice-principal happened to be an old friend of hers. After a brief conversation, Patty smiled. âWell, Iâll treat you to dinner later.â
âThatâs very kind of you.â
Later, the official Twitter account of Willowbrook College posted a message, âAllison graduated from Willowbrook College in July last year. She was an outstanding student who received several scholarships.â
Patty, using Allisonâs studio Twitter account, retweeted this and added, âI once worked for the Flanagan family. Thank you to my Alma Mater for your nurturing.â
With these two simple sentences, she addressed two issues. Allison admitted to having worked for the Flanagan family and having been a housemaid. She graduated from the design department of Willowbrook College.
The internet was flooded with comments.
âAllison is so much better than Penelope. She worked to pay for her education while Penelope is just a spoiled brat. Sheâs just jealous of Allison!â
âIsnât she just! Penelope is just jealous!â
âIâm also a student at Willowbrook College. Iâve seen Allison a few times. Sheâs really beautiful and gentle. I heard her mother is not well, and she used to work part-time in the library.â
âIâm also a student of design at Willowbrook College. She indeed used to work in the library. She even issued my library card.â
âAllison is really great. I always thought she was a lady from a rich family, but it turns out sheâs just like us, a regular person working hard.â.
âIâm falling more and more in love with Allison!â
âPenelope is so annoying!!â
âIâm so happy. Iâm also a student at Willowbrook College. Iâm so excited to be in the same school as Allison!â
A blogger named âFresh Daisyâ commented, âMy goodness, Penelope used to bully Allison quite often because she is from the Flanagan family. Whatâs wrong with Allison working to earn money? Itâs not like money falls from the sky! Everyone knows Penelope leads a messy private life. Sheâs been with many men. From middle school to high school, her boyfriends could form a soccer team!â
