“Harassing her family is really unbearable. Allison’s mom said she’s seriously ill, so Allison’s selling herself to pay for her medical bills. That shows real devotion.”

Allison offered a wry smile. “So, you think I’m supposed to be silent all the time?”

Patty was momentarily taken aback. Allison had always been compliant, and Patty had always seen her as a gentle, easy-to-talk-to celebrity.
