Chapter 579
The Billionaire’s Maid Bride
He had a simple plan. He just wanted to play with the woman who he found quite fetching. He believed that the game between a man and a woman was a consensual dance of desire. It had only been a few brief encounters. However, he felt like he had somehowâ¦
Damn, he had fallen for her.
It was 10 A.M. Hughes made his way to the Blue Club.
The Blue Club only opened at night. During the day, the staff were off resting, only starting to trickle in around 3 P.M. to prepare for the eveningâs business.
Right now, the Blue Club was empty except for him. He flicked on the lights and headed for the table.
The room had been straightened out the night before. Lighting a cigarette, Hughes remembered Robbie was still up on the third floor. He climbed the stairs and knocked on the suiteâs door. It was opened by a woman in a sexy slip dress. Her eyes lit up at the sight of Hughes. Her voice was turning sultry. âMr. Hughes, Robbie is still sleeping.â
Hughes exhaled a smoke ring, barely glancing at the woman as he stepped into the room. She followed him, batting her eyes. âMr. Hughes, for the past few days, Robbie and I have been good as gold. We havenât stepped out of this room.â She tugged at her already low neckline, revealing even more flesh.
Hughes didnât even spare her a second look as he sat down on the living room couch. After a couple of puffs, he stubbed the cigarette out in an ashtray. âWake him up. I need to see Robbie.â
The woman, stunned by his blatant disregard, straightened her ample chest in frustration.
Nevertheless, she went to rouse Robbie.
About ten minutes later, Robbie emerged from the bedroom, clad in pajamas. It seemed heâd been dragged out of a deep sleep. âHughes, you wanted to see me?â
âPenelope called you? Youâve been hiding here. Has anyone else tried to contact you?â
âPenelope? Yeah, she rang me up, but I didnât pick up. I didnât dare. Outside the Blue Club, Iâm a dead man walking. Who knows what schemes Penelopeâs cooking up. The netâs got all sorts of stories, and I ainât no fool. Hughes, you ask me to stay here. Itâs about that Allisonâs thing, right?â
âThirsty, Hughes? Have some water.â The woman, Abbey, not ready to give up, brought over a glass of water, setting it down on the coffee table in front of Hughes. Her dress suggested she wore nothing underneath.
Hughes stood up. âI donât know this Allison. Iâm just doing a friend a favor. You stay put here. If Penelope reaches out, let me know.â
âYou got it, man. You saved my life; I owe you one.â
After Hughes left, Robbie playfully squeezed Abbeyâs waist. âYou little slut, you couldnât wait to throw yourself at Hughes, huh?â
Abbey let out a sultry whimper. âEasy, Robbie, that hurts.â
âYou just canât help yourself, can you? Parading around half-naked, and desperate for Hughesâ
attention. Youâre shameless,â Robbie said as he pinned her to the couch. Abbey moaned seductively, âSo tell me, whoâs prettier? Me or Penelope?â
âYou canât hold a candle to Penelopeâs wild side. Sheâs got tricks you havenât even dreamed of. Donât be fooled by her rank; sheâs a slut in the sheets.â
