Chapter 69
The Billionaire’s Maid Bride
Dr. Dylan seemed to have gotten a read on her thoughts, he said seriously. âEvery job deserves respect Allison looked at him, then broke into a chuckle.
At the table âJade, what are you staring at? Heidi from Thoracic Surgery walked over, âYouâre not pining for Dr.
Dylan again, are you?â
Jadeâs cheeks turned red, she shyly lowered her head, âStop talking nonsense.â
âYouâre blushing! Itâs so obvious, every time Dr. Dylan leaves, you keep sneaking glances, even lost interest in singing You really think we canât see it?
âYeah, how far have you gotten with Dr. Dylan? Spill the beans â
Jadeâs face turned redder, she said a bit sadly. He said he has a girlfriend now, you guys heard it too.â
âThereâs no way Dr. Dylan has a girlfriend, my friend works in the same department and she hasnât heard anything about him getting a girlfriend. He must be just using it as an excuse to fend off Dr.
Thaliaâs nosiness. You and Dr. Dylan are such a match⦠in terms of looks and everything else.â
Jade just smiled through all of this, âLetâs get back to the game.â
Just then, the door to the room swung open Someone shouted, âDr. Dylanâs here, and this is?â
Suddenly, all eyes were on him.
Allison felt a surge of anxiety, but Dr. Dylan squeezed her hand, signaling her to stay calm. He walked in with Allison, his eyes landing on Dr. Thalia who was sitting on the couch, âDr. Thalia, this is my girlfriend.â
Dr. Thalia took a look at Allison, noticing she was dressed as a waitress. She was taken aback at first, then chuckled pushing up her glasses, âYou got a girlfriend and only, now decided to show her off. If we hadnât gathered today, you wouldnât even bother telling me, right?â
Dr. Dylan introduced Allison to his friends, as Allison greeted them. Seeing Dr. Thaliaâs serious demeanor, she said, âDr. Thalia.â
Dr Thalia nodded at her.
Quite a few people noticed Allisonâs uniform. Wasnât she a waitress here? But they didnât dare to ask with Dr. Dylan around Who would have thought Dr. Dylan would date a waitress?
Dr. Dylan didnât dodge the issue, âShe works here, if you guys want anything just let her knowâ
Seeing Dr Dylan so unconcerned, his colleagues felt there was nothing wrong. After all, jobs donât matter, itâs the love shared thatâs real.
âCan we get a discount then?
Allison grinned, âOf course.â
Jade watched Dr. Dylan holding that womanâs hand, a mere waitressâ¦.
Heidi glanced at Jadeâs expression, whispering, âJadeâ¦â
Jade suddenly got up, Heidi couldnât stop her, she watched Jade walk over âDr. Dylan.â
Dr Dylan glanced at Jade, he knew about her feelings for him. Heâd already turned her down once, and he didnât want to hurt her again.
Their families had been friends for a long time, and Dr. Thalia had always wanted him to end up with Jade.
Thatâs why he brought Allison, hoping Jade would back off.
