Chapter 11 - Nonnas's Birthday

I was sitting on my make up table while the make up brush was brushing against my cheek, the sky was still in a combination of orange and pink. Which meant that it was almost the time where we had to leave the house, i just had to put on a highlighter then i was done.

I got up from the make up table then walked into the closet and saw the dress that he chose was the only dress that hung in that huge white closet. I smiled then slowly put it on, i looked into the dress which was a tank and it covered my toes.

My brown hair was on a wavy style cause it was the only style that i could make for tonight, i used to have the people to take care of my make up and my hair but at that time it was just me so i was hoping the results wasn't going to be so bad.

I walked out of the closet on time then grabbed my phone and my purse before walked out of the room, well Alex is a very on time person so he must be waiting for me already. I carefully walked down the stairs by myself then i found that he was already there standing while looking out into the window that facing the lake,

"You're on time" he said then i let out a breath after I finally reach the end of the stairs.

"This event affect you so much so i have to be on time to make sure that you're also going to be there on time" i said.

His hazel brown eyes were looking at me with a sparkles inside of those eyes, his stares affect me that much even though people used to stare at me every time i walked on the runway, but his stares were strong and seemed meaningful.

"You look beautiful" he said.

I've never heard that word anymore that affect me like the way he just did, the last time that word that affect me came from Anthony's lips but it was no more special to me.

"Uh thank you" i said.

"You chose the dress" I awkwardly said.

"Come on you never admit that you're a platinum" he said.

"What?"

"Nothing" he said.

"Lets go we're late" he said before asking for my hand to hold.

We walked out of the house and he opened up the wooden door for me which revealed the main entrance of his house and a white sport car parked outside the lobby.

"Good afternoon Sir, Miss Clark" Glenn greeted us.

"Good afternoon glenn" i politely said.

He opened up the door for me then i got in, no longer he got inside of the car by the driver side. The beautiful engines roar through my ears the he began to drive it, i was kinda scared to look at him driving with a high speed cause i was scared that we're going to crash it.

It took about 20 minutes to finally got us into his grandma's castle, it was bigger than I thought it was huge and i could see so many people were coming into the house. It seemed like a big birthday party cause i could see so many expensive car were parked on the parking lot.

"Huge right?" He asked me then i turned my head to look at him who had his eyes on the road.

"It is a birthday party?" I asked him then he smiled.

"Yeah her 65 birthday party" he said before a laugh slipped from his lips.

i had never seen him this relax, i mean he was so different I didn't know why. He smiled, he laughed and I didn't know what just happened with him.

The car stopped right on the lobby there was where he walked out from the car then threw the keys to one of a men with a black tuxedo, Alex opened up the for me then he asked for my hand to hold. I felt everyone's eyes were on us and i knew that was the time where we should start to act it up.

He lead me inside through the long stairs, I already seen so many people came inside with their super glamour dresses. Some of them were actually older than us but there were also so many of them that around our age, well it was his grandma's birthday.

We got in and the house was more like a castle,  i could see an expensive decorations and a velvet rugs covered all of the floor since we got in. The music was filling the room and every people that came was wearing their best dresses while the maid was walking by with a drinks and desserts that were ready to served to anyone who wanted them.

We got into the main room which was huge and it was more like a ballroom where everyone hanging out, having a conversation with one another while holding a glass of champagne. The table of foods were all around the room, it felt like i was inside of Anna and Elsa's castles.

"There she is" he whispered to me.

I saw an old woman wearing a gold glamorous dress and she looked so happy to be around people, i could see her laughing and smiling maybe she felt like it was her 18th birthday party.

My hand was still in his, he kept our gap close to one another and I didn't want to get lost so i hold on tight onto his hand. He held my hand while we kept walking closer to where his grandma was sitting.

"Oh my goodness my precious grandson is here!" I could hear her excitement in her voice and i could see a big smile appeared on her face.

I let go of his hand as his grandma began to wraps her arm around Alex, she hugged him the he kissed her on the cheek which was so sweet.

"Happy birthday Nonna" he said with a smile on his face.

"Thank you darling oh who is this pretty girl?" She asked Alex and she was smiling at me which made me smile shyly cause she was so friendly and sweet.

"This is my girlfriend nonna, issa"

"Isabella Clark! Of course who doesn't know her oh my god darling you look beautifuler in real life" she said while putting her hand on my back, her gestures seemed welcoming me and that was so sweet.

"Beautifuler is not a word nonna" he laughed.

"I know i mean hi it is nice to meet you!" She said while looking at me.

"Hi it is nice to meet you too, and happy birthday Mrs Adams" i said to her then she smiled.

"Oh my god sweet darling please call me Nonna, welcome to the family!" She said before pulling me into a hug.

I hugged her back then i could see Alex was smiling at us, it seemed like that plan was success. I loved that woman already she was so nice, humble and friendly.

"Hey barbs!" Someone suddenly greeted her.

"Oh hi sam!" She said.

"Oh Bella just have fun okay gotta go! Bye honey" she said before started to greet her friend.

She walked away from both of us the Alex put his arm around my waist then lead me to walk out of the crowd in the room, he lead me into a more peaceful part of the house. He brought us a glass of champagne to drink while waiting for the further activity in the house.

"I really hate family event like this" he said under his breath.

"Your Grandma is so friendly" i smiled before sipping on the drink.

"You haven't met so many of my family member, they all are just like that" he rolled his eyes then i laughed.

"They look fun" i said.

"But congratulations my grandma likes you" he said then i smiled.

"Thank you babe" i said then i winked at him.

I looked around the my eyes landed on the man with a clean light brown hair with a serious stares who wore a blue tuxedo in the other side of the room, it was none other than Derek.

He is here

"Derek is here" i said to Alex which already has an eye on him too.

He drunk his champagne then put the glass away before slipping his arm around my waist then close the gap between us.

"Do not get lost" he said.

"I will not" i said.

"Lets just go into the second floor" he said before his hand held mine then lead us into the main stairs to get into the second floor, I didn't know why but every time Derek was around us he seemed so protective.

We were walking through the white long hall on the second floor which was no one there except us, my eyes were staring into the wall that has so many pictures and there was one picture that has a little boy picture that looked so much like Alex.

"Is that you?" I asked him then he stopped his step then stand right next to me.

"Yes" i said then i smiled.

"Young Alex looked so happy" i said.

"He really was" he said.

"How about now?" I asked him.

"It had no more feelings now" he said before started to walk away which made me following him cause I didn't want to get lost.

"How do you know?" I asked him.

"I'm so busy now, i use my brain more than my heart now" he said and he sounded very cold.

"You love your mom right, your dad? And you're going to love someone if the future" i said while kept walking next to him.

"They're just a business partner now" he coldly said.

"Trust me you're going to meet someone who can bring a happiness to your life and that is going to make you realize that you still have one" i said.

"Whatever" he said.

"Do you live here when you were a little?" I asked him.

"Yes" he said then i smiled.

"What about your parents house?" I asked him.

"Sometimes i lived there sometimes I lived here" he said.

"Derek and i used to live here"

"So you guys were close" i said.

"Pretty close, like a brother" he said.

"But he changed after both of us jumped into this chaotic family business" he said.

"You said that you want a brother to take all of tgese things so you wouldn't be like this why don't you just give it to Derek ?" i asked him.

"There's some reason" he said and it seemed like he didn't want to tell me why.

"Ooh" i said.

"Oh lets go back to the main ball room there's going to be Jason Mraz" he said before grabbing my hand.

"What?" I asked him.

"Yeah my grandma invited him here tonight" he said while we kept walking and walking, a smile appeared on my face knowing that there were going to be a singer tonight especially Jason Mraz.

We got back into the ball room and he was right Jason Mraz was already in front of the standing mic, he was ready to sing. My eyes were blinking a couple time still didn't believe that a grandma's birthday could be that huge.

"Your nonna rock" i said.

He began to sing a couple of songs from his famous Album until it was a slow music came that made everyone around began to dance with their partner.

"Lets show them what I've got right here" he said while turning me around to dance with him.

"The beautiful Isabella Clark" i said while putting my hands around his neck while our steps were following the slow music.

"Is dancing with Barbara Adam's attractive grandson Alexander Adams" he said and i laughed because of him.

There was no gap between us as the slow music was playing, filling the ball room in the romantic night.

"My mom is probably watching us with a smile right now" he said.

"Where is she?" I asked him while had my eyes on him.

"Somewhere around here probably" he said then i smiled.

"How about your dad?" I asked him.

"He is probably standing next to her" he smiled while his hazel brown eyes were looking at mine.

"Maybe they're dancing too?" I asked him.

"My dad isn't that romantic" he rolled his eyes like it was impossible.

"How about you then?" I asked him.

"I don't know" he said.

"How about you?" He asked me.

"Kinda, I don't know" i said.

We kept dancing to the slow music with everyone in the room, i could see his Nonna was dancing in the middle of the room with a guy that around her age.

"Is that your grandpa?" I asked him then he looked into where his grandma at.

"Yeah, I haven't introduced you to him" he said while we looked at them who looked so in love and happy.

"They look so in love" i said.

"They are" he said.

His arms never left my waist as we kept moving to the slow music, it was a romantic and a happy night. The big crystal chandelier on the roof was shining, with the slow music filling the ballroom.

We were dancing with one another while his eyes were kept looking at mine while i was looking at the people who danced around us.

"Why don't you want to look at me bell?" He asked me then my eyes moved into his hazel brown eyes.

I couldn't look into his eyes cause, I didn't know it felt like it was so strong and I was nervous to look at it for too long. His eyes had something in it, a words that i would never knew. My body always shivering when i had him too close like this and my heartbeat beat so fast, it pounded so hard Through my chest and i was scared that what if he could hear it.

"I don't know" i said.

"Hey Mr Adams" a sweet voice suddenly interrupted our moment.

We turned to face a girl with a volume strawberry blonder hair, his eyes were dark chocolate while his skin was perfectly tan.

"Hey Innara" he simply said while still having his arm wrapped around my waist.

"Hey Alex how are you?" She sweetly asked him.

"Hey I'm fine, how are you" he asked her back.

"I'm always good, it's been a really long time since the last time we met" she said.

"Yeah, by the way this is Bella" he introduced me then i asked her for a handshake,

"Hey I'm Innara James" she said but she didn't want to have a handshake with me so i pull back my hand.

"This is Isabella Clark my girlfriend" Alex said to Innara which i could see a different expression on her face.

"Interesting" she said.

"Is she the real one?" Innara seemed challenging him but he seems didn't care.

"What do you mean?" He asked her.

"Nothing" she smiled.

"See you around Adams" she winked at him before leaving us two.

We watched her walking away from us until she was pretty far from us, "what is her problem?" I asked him.

"She is my dad's friends's daughter" he said with a smile on his face.

"Did you ever break her heart?" I asked him.

"I've never interested" he said.

"Are you hungry?" He asked me.

"Pretty sure" i said.

"Lets eat" he said then brought us away from the ball room into a dining room that served so many type of food.
