Chapter 14 - Babies

Isabella Clark

I had been in a mission with UNICEF to help child that needed people's help, it was because of their crisis country that made the kids suffer. I joined their learning center's activities which was so sad to see, but they were all a strong kids they could still smiling and laughing through their condition. It made me sad but also felt amaze by their responses and the way they deal with a pretty hard condition.

I had left my home for almost a week for the mission and i didn't regret it, Kelsie was also there all the time and she felt so proud of me to volunteer on the mission. I felt like i need to help them by donating some money for them who needed. I wish i could have an impact to the others to join my action to help people especially kids around the world that needed our helps.

After almost a week spending my time there with no phone and contact with anybody outside cause i just didn't want to. I wanted to feel about how was it feel like to be like them and i just didn't want anything interrupting me.

It was the day where I finally got back to my home country, i got back with Kelsie with some packs of our suitcases being strolled By ourselves. Kelsie was busy texting my bodyguard and the driver to be ready in the lobby, but i missed ice chocolate blended so I excused her to buy a Starbucks.

I got into the nearest Starbucks and the smell of sweet coffee greeted my nose, it was such a relaxing smell and it seemed like my stomach responded to it cause it groaned inside. I walked in then ordered some drink and some snacks for Kelsie and I in case she wants one.

I was waiting for my order until i saw a guy wearing a black hoodie was staring at me from outside of the store. I thought he was just a normal people cause i always got a stares from anyone and anywhere i go, i felt uncomfortable until a teenage girl tapped on my shoulder.

"Hi Bella can i take a picture with you?" She politely asked then i smiled.

"Hi of course" i said then we took a picture together, then a teenage guy asked me to take a picture with him too.

"Thank you so much bell have a nice day!" He said.

"Your welcome, thank you you too" i said.

"Bella" the barista called my name and was ready with my food.

I thanked him then took all of the the food with my both hand, the guy that was staring at me was gone and i felt relieved. It was so strange and uncomfortable for me.

I got back to Kels and I already saw my bodyguard which means that the car was already arrived. With the help of him we could through the lobby door which was crowded and full of the paparazzi, it was always hectic for us to get out of the airport just because of them.

Once i got into the car i began to open my phone and i got a lot text messages from my friends, mom and my dad. But the newest text messages was from Alex and i felt surprise that he knew that i was just arrived.

Alex Adams :

Have you arrived?

Bella Clark :

Just arrived why?

Alex Adams :

My cousin just gave birth i need to be there with you

Bella Clark :

When? I'm actually feel so tired

Alex Adams :

It supposed to be tonight

Bella Clark :

How about tomorrow?

Alex Adams :

Okay that's fine.

Bella Clark :

But I'll take a nap after this, I'll text you later if i can come tonight or not

Alex Adams :

Good, thanks bell

Bella Clark :

Your welcome

"Alex needs me to be with him tonight" i said to Kelsie.

"Aren't you tired?" Kelsie asked me.

"Yeah But I'm going to take a nap" i said to Kelsie.

"Okay just take some rest after you got back to the apartment" she said then i nodded.

It turned out that i felt okay after taking a long nap, well i just felt a little hungry cause i skipped lunch that day. I texted Alex that i could go then he told me that his driver was going to pick me up from my apartment then he told me to meet him at his office building cause my apartment was in the opposite way from the Hospital.

I took a shower before putting a make up on my face, anyone said that i took a long time to get ready and that was a fact. I took a quite long time on my make up cause i cannot be in a rush, i have to take my time.

I should carefully choose my outfit cause alex's family was going to be there too, so i wore a grey sweater with a light blue jeans complete with a black boots. I sprayed a perfume onto my body before ready to leave my apartment cause Alex texted me that the driver was already outside.

I got into the office building where there was still so many people there cause it wasn't already time to go home yet. I got inside the elevator easily because Alex gave me an all access card to this building. I was walking down the long hall until i saw a girl with a slim fit dress walking out of his office room, she has no name tag only a document on her hand. She has a light blonde hair, blue eyes filler lips and maybe a botox in her ass.

She was walking out of the room like a model walking in a cat walk, her hips swayed every time she put her feet on the ground. She throws a glance at me with an evil look on her eyes, i tried to ignore her evil stares and passing her confidently.

Maybe i looked like I didn't care when she walked passed me, but in the back of my head i was thinking who was she? What was she doing in Alex's room? Where was her name tag if she was an employee? Maybe she is one of Alex's chick?

"Good afternoon Miss Clark" Gina's voice pulling me out from my bad daydream.

"Hey Gina, is Alex there?" I asked her.

"Yes Mister Adams is inside" she smiled.

"Thank you" i said.

I pushed the door and my eyes landed on him who was sitting on his chair, his eyes was empty and he didn't look up at my appearance in the room.

"Alex?" I called him which made him finally looked up at me.

"Oh you're here" he said.

"Okay lets leave shall we?" He asked me before getting up from his seat.

"Who was the girl that just walked out of your room?" I asked him.

"She's an employee" he said.

"Why didn't she have her name tag then?" I asked him.

"She's nobody" he said while walking towards me.

"Are you lying to me Alex?" I asked him.

"Did you guys make out just like we made out in the club a couple weeks ago?" I asked him then he let out a breath.

"I didn't make out with her" he said.

"Then who is she?" I asked him.

"I'll tell you if it's the right time" he said before his hand reached for my hand to hold.

"If you made out with her she can spread the rumors that you were cheating and it'll affect my name" i said to him.

"I didn't do anything Bella" he said and his eyes were looking at me seriously and he seemed pretty tired.

"Lets go we're going to be late" he said then we walked out of his office room.

We walked passed's Gina's desk then he stopped to pick up some blue paper bag from her, it looked like it was a present.

"This is the present for my nephew" he said then gave me the paper bag.

I kept thinking about the question that i asked that he didn't answer to, it seemed like he hide something from me.

"Are you jealous at me?" He asked me once there were only us inside of the elegant elevator.

"No" I simply said, i just felt curious about who was she.

We got into his car and the whole car ride went into silent, i was still so tired so I didn't start any conversation so was he. He just asked me a couple simple questions just like how was it and how do i feel about it.

The car entered the hospital lobby just like that, we got a vip parking lot and I didn't know how did we get the spot maybe the hospital belonged to his family or something I didn't care. We walked out of the car then walked into the lobby right away, and as always i always had his arm around my waist.

I haven't been into that hospital so i had no idea where we should go, but again i had Alex who knew what to do. We got into the elevator together followed by Glenn, well he always there wherever Alex goes. I actually felt uncomfortable when we have a person that didn't know about our contract be in our circle cause I couldn't act like i had nothing to do with Alex.

"Who's your cousin's name?" I whispered at him but i knew Glenn must heard it.

"Is it Derek's wife that gave birth?" I asked him then he laughed.

"No bell, his name is Greg" he said before connected our hands together, our hand seemed like a puzzle that perfectly connected to its shapes.

Once the door was opened we walked out right away and passing couple of people that were waiting for the elevator too. We were walking into the nurse desk right away,

"Good afternoon Mr Adams" the nurse said.

Wait she knows him?

"Can you tell me the room of Greg Adams wife?" He politely asked.

"Room number 1425" she said.

"Thank you" he said.

"Thank you" i said with a smile then we began to look for the room which was not so hard enough to look for.

We slowly got in and the room was so big, it had two sides one for the patient, one for the guest. It was a big living room and there was also a balcony that connected to the living room.

There were so many people inside but I didn't know who they were so i just politely smile at them, the first person that greeted us was a man with a light brown hair and he greeted Alex's with a bro hug.

"Hey it is nice to finally meet you busy man" he said.

"Me too Greg" Alex said.

"Congratulations Greg, Lisa" Alex said to greg and the woman that looked kinda pale on the bed.

"Thank you Alex" she smiled.

"By the way this is Bella, my girlfriend" Alex introduced me by pulling me into the conversation.

"Hi it is nice to finally see you" Lisa said then i smiled.

"Oh hi it's nice to meet you, Congratulations for your baby we have this for you" i said to her before giving her the gift.

She seemed so sweet and kind to me, she looked happy to received a gift from Alex and I. I was so excited to see the Baby, Greg said the baby would be there in a few minutes, he was in the baby rooms.

"Do you want to see him?" Greg asked Alex.

"Of course yes" Alex said then greg lead us into the baby room, he pointed into the baby boy who was asleep inside of the baby box stroller.

He looked so tiny and cute, i could see Alex was finally smiling at a thing like that. He was so mysterious a few minutes ago then he could smile just because of that tiny feet called baby.

"Alex?" I heard a woman's voice called Alex's name behind us.

We turned our head around and see his mom was walking towards us with a man was walking next to her. She looked happy to see us while the man next to him looked so cold.

"Oh hi Bella, dear how are you?" She pulled me into a hug then gave a kiss on my cheek.

"Hi I'm good thank you" i said.

"Oh Darling come here, this is Bella Alex's girlfriend isn't she pretty?" She introduced me to Alex's dad which kinda surprising that i could meet him in the time like that.

His lips curled into a smile before politely asking my hand for a handshake, "hi I'm peter it is nice to finally meet you" he said.

"It is nice to meet you too Mr Adams" he smiled then Alex just standing in a silent behind me.

I could read the situation that Alex could be pretty rigid around his dad, it seemed like he was acting around his boss not his dad. But for me his dad could be pretty friendly with me, he smiled and asking for my hand to shake.

They left us two in front of the baby room while Alex was staring at the babies inside of the baby's room. I knew that he must be thinking about something else while staring at the baby.

"Alex" i said.

"Huh?" He asked.

"Lets get back into the room" i said to him.

"Yeah" he said then he began to follow me.
