Chapter 36 - Paris

"Yeah hey mom, Alex and I just arrived here at the airport," I said while holding on my passport trying to put it back inside of my bag.

We were walking out of the lobby with Alex's hand stayed on my waist to make sure that I didn't bump into anyone while calling my mom to tell her that I have arrived.

"Honey, you're coming?" She asked me.

"Yes mom" I smiled.

"Oh my god, I miss you," she said then I smiled.

"Me too, okay gotta go to the hotel now," I said.

"Where are you staying?" She asked me.

"The Ritz Carlton," I said.

"Awh pretty familiar," she said.

"Where are you staying?" I asked her.

"Our home family's penthouse here," she said.

"Well cool, guess I'll see you very soon then," I said.

"Okay honey love you," she said.

"Bye I love you too," I said before putting my phone back into my bag.

My hand slipped into his then I hold his hand while we were walking out of the lobby, I noticed that there were kinda a lot of bodyguards were following us there.

"Uh, Alex you know that this isn't an entertaining trip right?" I whispered to him.

"Of course," he said.

"We're not an entertainment couple again we're real," he said.

"Yes, I mean, so why there are so many your people here?" I asked him.

"I just want to make sure that both of us are safe," he said to me.

"We'll be fine," I said.

"I just don't want to catch so much attention from my family when we are at the wedding okay," I said to him.

"Okay, I can promise you that," he said.

We walked out of the lobby where some of the people with cameras were already waiting for us outside to take a picture of us.

I was standing in front of the big mirror after putting on my dress, I was making sure that my look was okay until I heard a click of the camera from the left side of mine.

"What are you doing?" I asked him, cause I found him taking a picture of me with his phone on his hands.

"Taking a picture of you, why?" He asked me back and didn't care a complain tone in my voice.

"Why?" I asked him back.

"Why not" he smirked then put his phone back into his pocket.

He stepped closer then stand next to me where we were looking at our outfit at the mirror in front of us, I thought he was looking at himself but his eyes. Those eyes were looking at mine who was busy looking at myself's look. He smiled when I catch him looking at me.

"Let's go we're going to be late," he said.

"Yeah"

We got out of our hotel room then went straight into the elevator, the architecture of the building is so beautiful. It looks vintage and elegant at the same time. I was staring out of the window when his hand suddenly hold on mine, I turned my head and saw that he was looking at me. The car was in silent it was just us and the driver, Glenn was in another car. The night felt so romantic, it was so calm and chill, especially I was there with the one that I love.

No longer we arrived at a building and there were so many people walking into the building with their best dresses. When the car stopped at the lobby one of the security opened up the door for us, it kinda caught some of the people's attention when we got out.

Alex arm automatically slipped on my waist, we walked up the main stairs then got into the building. We weren't on time but the party was still going on, the bride and the groom were happily talking to their relatives when we got in. My eyes were looking for my mom cause she was the first person that I wanted to meet.

We were walking around the building and I finally found my mom, a smile appeared on her face when she saw me walking towards her. I walked closer then she pulled me into a hug,

Ah, I missed her so much.

"Oh god my baby, sweetheart I missed you so much," she said while hugging me, her hand was stroking my hair.

"Mom I missed you so much" I hugged her while my cousins and my aunt were looking at us.

Alex was standing behind me while hugged my mom, my family members started to recognize that I was coming that night.

"Everyone thought that you aren't going to come here," my mom said after broking the hug.

"Of course I'm not, Selena is like my best friend back when I was a little girl," I said to her then my mom couldn't stop smiling at me.

"Oh baby I missed you so much, you look more beautiful," she said.

"Mom.." I smiled.

"Is that Alex?" My mom suddenly asked me then I turned my head around to see Alex who was still standing there with a smile on his face.

"Yeah" I smiled.

"He looked a lot more handsome in a person" my mom whispered then I smiled.

"Yeah, he is,"I said.

"Alex come here, this is my mom," I said then Alex politely nodded in a smile.

"Alex! It is nice to finally meet you, you can call me ..." my mom said.

"It is nice to meet you too," he said then I put my hand on his back while brushing it slowly.

"Mom I'm going to greet Selena," I said to her.

"Oh yeah you should, she must be very happy," she said when we walked away from her.

Alex and I walked away from her and started to make our way to Selena who was sitting around the round table next to her husband. I was looking at her until she caught my eyes and looked so excited when she saw me,

"Oh my god, you made it here!" She said after getting up from her seat, and I could see that her husband was surprised to see her reaction.

"Of course I am, congratulations sorry I am late," I said before pulling her into a hug.

"How are you bell?" She asked me.

"I'm good, how are you?" I asked her.

"I'm so happy, by the way, Sebastian this is my cousin Bella" Selena introduced me to him then I shook his hand while smiling.

"Hi, Bella," I said.

"It is nice to finally meet you" he smiled.

"This is my boyfriend Alex," I said.

"Oh hi it is nice to meet you," Selena said while shaking his hand.

"Congratulations," he said with a smile on his face.

"Sebastian" her husband shook Alex's hand.

"Alex, congratulations" he smiled.

"Thanks, man," Sebastian said.

"Anyway, I didn't miss the first dance right?" I asked her.

"Of course not!" Selena said.

"Okay, I'm so excited!" I said.

"Go get yourself a food!" She said.

"Okay I'll see you around," I said before holding on Alex's hand to walk away from Selena.

We were walking around to grab a drink and food, I had a late lunch after we arrived here in Paris so I still felt full.

After a while, it was the moment where I had been waiting for, the first dance. Selena and I had talked about this moment since when we were children. Everyone was standing around the dance floor while looking at Selena who entered the dance floor with her brother.

"Selena's dad passed away a few years ago," I said to Alex who was standing next to me.

His hand was on my shoulder and I could feel his thumb was brushing on my skin.

"She's been dreaming about this moment," I said.

"I promise to you" he suddenly said.

My eyes looked up at his who was already looking at me,

"That one day we're going to do our first dance together in front of our family," he said.

"I,"I said.

"You are amazing," I said.

"I promise to you," he said.

"I love you," I said.

"I love you more" he always said that he loves me more.

I took so many pictures with my family and I was planning to be there until the end of the wedding, I was so happy and I couldn't hide my smile that night. But my eyes suddenly caught him again, he was wearing the same outfit as always. Black hoodie complete with those coldest stares in the room.

"Alex, he's here," I said to him.

"who?" he asked.

"the man who followed me," I said.

"where?" Alex asked as his hand began to reach out his phone from his pocket.

He began to call someone, probably Glenn. but I couldn't lose the man again I didn't want him to run away again. At that time, I was hoping that Glenn and the other would catch him.

"Glenn, please check the entire building he's here," he said.

Alex was on the call with Glenn but the guys sent me a smile before walking away from where he was standing like he was making fun of me.

"I'm sorry Bell, I think we should go back to our hotel right now," he said.

"I'm sorry I know you missed your family but it is for your own good," he said.

I frowned cause I realized that it was all because of the man, he ruined my moment with my family. I hate him so much and I hate to be in a situation like this.

"okay let me say goodbye to them," I said then turned around to look for my mom.

We got back into the hotel and we had changed into our pajamas, I was still in a bad mood cause we had to go home earlier. At least I got a chance to meet my mom, I always feel so happy after meeting her. But I didn't really talk to her husband and her kids, I don't know sometimes I feel a little sad when I started to interact with them.

Alex was already on the bed with his laptop on his lap, he was typing on his laptop doing whatever it was. his eyes suddenly looked up at me, that was the time where he put his laptop away then looking back at me.

"Bella, I'm sorry," he said.

"No it's fine, it's not your fault," he said.

I got under the cover before leaning closer into him then wrapped my hands around his body, my eyes were staring out of the window watching the water fell from the skies. Paris was raining that night but it wasn't a heavy rain, it was a light wain where it felt so calm and beautiful.

I put my head on top of his chest where I could feel his warm body, I could even hear his heartbeat. It was so comfortable and it made me calm, his hand slowly brush against my head. He stroke my hair slowly while I was staring out of the window.

"Alex am I safe?" I broke the silence around us.

He stayed in a silent, and his hand suddenly stopped stroking my head.

"You are safe as long as you have my men around you," he said.

"Why can't I have you around me all the time?" I asked him.

"I feel much safer when I have you around me," I said to him.

He kept staying in a silent before he kissed the top of my head.

"If I'm gone I just want to make sure that you're in a safe place," he said.

"You're not going to go anywhere are you?" I suddenly got up from his chest to look at him.

He let out a sigh before looking at me,

"Alex?" I asked him.

"If I said this you're going to be scared," he said.

"No I'm not, tell me," I said.

His hazel brown eyes were looking straight to mine, his eyes were sparkling before his thumb reached my cheek.

"I'm not going to be safe the whole time if I haven't caught the bad guy, bell," he said.

"I feel like I'm dragging you into this, it is okay if it happens to me cause if it happens I'm not going to lose anyone but now they threaten you it scares me more." He said.

"I don't want anything happens to you," I said to him.

"I don't want anything happens to you too." He said while getting up then his hand running through his hair

He opened his arm while he was leaning onto the headboard with no shirts on, I leaned closer to hug him. The room was cold but in his arm, it felt so warm and safe.
