Chapter 30: Something Sinister

Poisonous Love

Age: 15

The entrance ceremony came and passed without much hindrance, and like a play, the heroine came late like she was supposed to.

Katrina Haze

A commoner with a light fairy's blessing. Light magic is quite rare sought after for its healing capacity and soothing effects.

Katrina is a... well endowed girl. Certainly I may have stared at her chest in envy, but so did everyone else! When she fell, I nearly ran to help so her giant bazooka chest didn't bounce too hard on the floor and give her a concussion.

Honestly, if she hit a man with her chest, they'd likely die happy.

With a sexy body and an extremely cute face, it's not hard to see why she gained so much attention. She has these big pretty brown eyes, and soft glossy short brown hair.

She's the image of a bunny in all honesty.

It seemed she also made friends with Irene...

Irene Heise Flaunder, someone I didn't have much information on in the first place.

She's a low Viscount's daughter, not very pretty but seemingly timid and kind.

I should see if she's already made contact with my precious brother!

Her eyes look constantly dissatisfied with the world around her. It's fairly certain she'll try and use the heroine.

Well... not that it's much of my business.

My own classes are quite easy. I excel in all, but I truly shine in science! My science professor is quite odd himself.

Professor Diazo, a retired Captain of the guard. Now a researcher in magic and philosophy.

Of course, he has to be blindingly gorgeous. That's a thing with new people I suppose.

Fire red hair cut short, a tall and muscular build, and sharp onyx eyes.

He looked more like a General than a professor.

I was quite the first day of class. Not much happened besides boring introductions.

I didn't attend this class for any other reason than a place to store my research materials.

I just needed to win the favor of this stone cold professor.

How will I accomplish such a task? Simple.

"So... you want my help, to seduce your teacher, so you can use his research facilities? Did I capture this right?"

Ceil looked amused with his regular phony smile plastered in place. He was relaxed though, sipping tea leisurely. Not minding me bursting into his room unannounced and scaring the life out of a couple servants.

A few guards tried to stop me, but when they touched my arm, I had them tangled in vines on the wall.

Magic is handy!

"I need those materials! My family is too strict with me now, saying no dangerous things will be bought. Even my own company rejects me taking money out for them! How is plutonium dangerous? No one here even know it's value! Help me please~" I slumped in my chair exhausted. Professor Diazo is no simple man. He will be a tough cookie to crack.

Ceil chuckled darkly.

"Well, it just so happens I know his dark secret. What will you give me for it?" He said with a sly smile. A shiver ran down my spine.

I forgot. I nearly forgot. This man in the damn devil.

"What do you want...?" I'm gambling here, this is always risky. Last time I asked for a favor, I found myself in the plains of Frare digging and planting like a farmer.

"What can you give me which I don't already have?" He countered easily. Damn him! He is the Crown Prince, What doesn't he have?! Morals, obviously. Maybe a conscious?

"A heart" my dead serious tone made him laugh. Screw him and his pretty face.

"Come on~ think" he encourages.

"A busty cute brunette with light magic...?"

...

Now he was just looking at me worriedly.

"Did you kidnap the commoner girl...?"

"Like hell! I was just thinking maybe since I'm a girl, it'd be easier for me to get in her good graces and introduce the two of you. Why would assume kidnapping?!" I yelled out indignantly. This guy is horrible! He hasn't changed.

Ceil lifts a fine sharp brow at me, but says nothing. Bastard.

"Do you not want the girl? What the hell could I even offer?" He shook his head.

"Your connections. I heard you trade with the Fairy Queen. I want some items from the Kingdom" He explained slowly like I was some idiot.

"Just say that in the first place. What do you want?" I asked exasperated.

"Weapons"

"Weapons?"

"Yes"

"They don't MAKE weapons! They're a peaceful race. At most, they have magical devices like spacial dimension jewelry, or enchanted dolls which can do housework or gardening. The closest thing they have to weapons would be their security devices which place a protective shield around you if you're attacked" I explained seriously. Ceil nodded in understanding, quietly pondering for a moment.

"Then. I want a protective device. You also have connections to the Mermaid Clan? What do they use?" He inquired.

"They forge their weapons from gold beneath the Earth's crust. It is too heavy for any normal person to use skillfully. You'd have better luck with a 100Ib axe"

"Seriously? Do you have a weapon?"

"Yes. All new members must forge their own weapon. Do you want to see it?" I asked curiously. His eyes lit up in delight.

"Very much"

I moved to my spacial bracelet that I acquired from the Fairy Queen. I had returned Ricin's ring after returning home.

The bracelet lit up with a faint blue light before I removed my katana.

Since there were no limits to the design, I chose a sword local to my original heritage. I wanted the pride and honor of a samurai to aid me in battle.

Ceil looked in amazement.

The sword was made from a special black gold. Though it looked like a shiny black weapon, when under direct sunlight, you could see the bits of gold hidden in flakes within the weapon.

Overall, it was gorgeous and very deadly. It can cut anything. Steel, Marble, whatever you could think of. Formidable!

Ceil reached out to touch, but I quickly moved away from him.

"Hell no Black Prince. I'm not giving you a sword that could murder me" I said with narrowed eyes. He chuckled with a questioning look.

"Now why would I kill you?"

"Because you're a black bellied Prince with no remorse or kindness"

"I'm friends with you aren't I? Fairly kind of me"

"I'm not some sad mascot you can just take pity on!"

"Far too late" he laughed easily. His fake smile finally relaxed.

"Very well. Give me a protection device and I will hand over the information to you. I'm sure it'll aid you" He said casually.

Sighing in my heart, I removed a simple silver ring with a light green stone in the center. Handing it over to him, Ceil slipped it on his finger.

The ring instantly sized to fit him.

"Impressive. How does it activate?" He asked curiously.

I smiled mischievously.

"Like this" before he could react, I smoothly swung my sword towards his neck with enough strength to cause a wind to form in the tea room.

Papers flew and Ceil, for the first time, looked somewhat shocked. His light blue eyes were open wide and his mouth was slightly open.

If he didn't have the ring, my sword would have cut his head off.

Since he does have the ring, my sword was currently stuck in a green barrier that extended about 1ft from Ceil.

"Amazing. But Rose?"

"Hn?"

"That attack didn't look like a tester. If that barrier had failed, I would be dead"

"Probably" I nodded. My face blank as he stared deeply at me.

"Professor Diazo's secret, that is... he is extremely fond of cute things. Small animals, stuffed animals, light colors that a small child would enjoy. It's to the point of slight obsession so I advice you take this with extreme caution"

Cute...?

"So... I should get him a puppy! Ceil! You genius!" I smiled happily before running out.

Ceil warily touched his neck.

She swung with absolute intent...

Sighing, he went back to revising proposals from the student council. Technically Rose is supposed to be apart of it due to her grades and abilities, but she refused to show up.

She's the daughter of a Duke, so it's difficult to force her into anything. If they were still engaged, he could've used that to his advantage, but now...

He shouldn't have canceled the engagement. He truly regrets it.

Rose is a delicate but amusing beauty. Such a girl is difficult to even meet, let alone for a Crown Prince surrounded by snakes in a pretty garden.

He truly wished they would be married.

Because deep down... Ceil knew...

He could get so much more use and money out of his favorite slave monkey.

(A/N: Lol. I love Ceil. Evil big brother? Yeah.

Like that cliff hanger? Thought he was gonna be in love with her?

He only loves money~

Even in the otome game, it's hard to tell if he loved the heroine, or if he loved her magical abilities which would secure the people's trust in his Queen as a kind ruler and a person of the common people.

We'll never know...)
