147. Being Banned

As the approaching of the twelfth grade, the company didn’t assign any other filming task for Qi Le’an except the endorsement of Coolrunning. Not even a single commercial activity. Wei Changfeng was supposed to be very busy, but after he was with Qi Le’an, he was kind of like a househusband.

It was true that love made people lose their aggressive spirit and far-sighted ambition.

“It’s not that I don’t want to shoot,” Wei Changfeng said innocently to Gary, “It’s just there is no good script.”

“Director Liu Xinjian’s new movie…”

“It’s a remake of the Japanese version and it’s boring.”

“The TV series Producer Cui brought over last time…”

“TV series... I don’t want to shoot it.”

“Master Ma’s ‘Bottomless’ must be okay. Everyone is saying they owe Master Ma a movie ticket! ” Gary took out his final Trump card.

“Yes, but isn’t that just a guest appearance?”

“…”

Gary, who obviously felt that the conversation could not go on, looked at Wei Changfeng in front of him and said regretfully, “Wei Sama! You can’t go on like this!”

The pot in the kitchen made a prompt sound. Wei Changfeng stood up from the sofa and said, “I’ve made Le’an pilaf for lunch today. Why don’t you stay for lunch?”

Gary caved in.

After all, it would be a pity not to eat Wei Changfeng’s cooking.

Wei Changfeng placed a lot of ingredients in the pilaf, then he washed his hands and returned to the living room. He said, “Devin is back and he said that he wants to make a new product next year that will work with the Forbidden City. Wllln is planning to expand the Asian market, and they’re looking for a spokesman.”

Gary’s eyes lit up.

Wei Changfeng smiled and said, “How is it? Is this one okay?”

The European fashion industry had always been disdainful of the Asian market, and their prejudice towards the yellow race had never stopped. European brands rarely came to Asia to find a spokesman. As the saying goes, a thing is valued if it is rare. The endorsement of a high-end fashion brand had always been something that people would compete for, let alone a top brand like Wllln.

If Wei Changfeng could get this endorsement… even if he didn’t work for half a year, his value wouldn’t go down!

Gary immediately figured out how to make a good relationship with Wllln in his mind, and lined up several able competitors of Wei Changfeng.

On the other hand, Wei Changfeng was much more relaxed. After setting the time for the pressure cooker, he was ready to change his clothes and go out to pick up Qi Le’an from school. He didn’t give a shit about the endorsement or anything else.

Gary was quite excited and was determined to help Wei Changfeng get the endorsement of Wllln, so he stopped nagging beside him like a grandma.

Wei Changfeng took a long vacation. He stayed with Qi Le’an until the end of the semester and prepared for the vacation after the semester.

Qi Le’an’s final exam was on June 15th, after which he would have a holiday, just in time for Wei Changfeng’s birthday.

They had been planning for this for a long time. Last year, both of them were on the set for Wei Changfeng’s birthday, so they had to celebrate it well this year.

It was more troublesome for them to travel around the country. Finally, Qi Le’an chose a place called Georgia. A small country on the border of Asia and Europe, which was one of the three Transcaucasian countries, was bordered by Turkey. It was also the origin of the wine. After that, the two of them could just go to Turkey next door and take a hot-air balloon ride.

Qi Le’an was looking forward to his trip with Wei Changfeng. Or rather, he was looking forward to every moment he was with Wei Changfeng.

After a week of examinations, they left immediately. It was a nine-hour flight from Hai City to Tbilisi, Georgia’s capital. After a dozy sleep, they reached their destination.

European buildings and various churches attracted Qi Le’an’s attention at first sight.

Instead of booking a hotel, they used Airbnb to find a local villa. The landlady was a portly woman who could not speak English very well, so they all communicate with body language.

They felt very relaxed abroad, so the two of them would wander around after they woke up every day. Georgia was a slow country. Even the breakfast stalls didn’t come out until eight or nine o’clock. Wei Changfeng returned to his old business and bought ingredients at a local market to cook for Qi Le’an. Surprisingly, the unfamiliar ingredients tasted delicious.

They wandered around the capital, Tbilisi, for several days. And On June 22nd, the two of them arrived at the Kazbek and visited the Three Saints and One Church in Kazbek. Fortunately, the two of them bumped into an orthodox wedding in this church. The bride and groom smiled brightly in their suit and wedding dress.

In the evening, the two of them watched the stars on the balcony of the villa at the foot of the snow mountain. Wei Changfeng hugged Qi Le’an tightly, shielding him from the cold.

After their trip to the snow mountain, they went to Batumi, a love mecca on the Black Sea. Qi Le’an couldn’t help but post on Weibo about the places he had been to in the past few days, and the fans were all asking where it was and saying it was beautiful.

The two of them had planned to continue to go west to Turkey to sit in the hot-air balloons, but Qi Le’an received a call from Chen Shan on his last night in Georgia.

“Le’an, something happened.”

“You have to be mentally prepared.”

When he got the call, Qi Le’an had just come back from the Black Sea and was ready to take a shower and go to sleep. Ever since he was tangled up by Li Che, Chen Shan had been quite mysterious. He had also turned a blind eye to Qi Le’an wasting time to go out to play.

Qi Le’an had a bad feeling when he heard Chen Shan say so seriously this time.

“Li Che said. There’s a problem with the endorsement of Coolrunning.”

Although Qi Le’an had signed the contract, he never had time to shoot. The first thing he would do when he returned from this trip was to go to City B to shoot.

“Your advertisement was banned by National Radio and Television Administration,” Chen Shan said directly, “Several advertisements,  including Xue Da and a learning machine brand, were also ordered to go offline.”

“… What do you mean,” Qi Le’an’s expression became strange.

After a night of nervousness, the first thing Qi Le’an did when he woke up in the morning was to open his Weibo.

Then he found that his post had been deleted from the hotlist. It was still on the leaderboard before he went to sleep…

Qi Le’an was in a heavy mood. He sent a message to Chen Shan but he didn’t reply to him. He didn’t know if it was because of the time difference.

Wei Changfeng didn’t know anything about it and thought that Qi Le’an was reluctant to leave this place. “How about we not going to Turkey and staying here for a few more days?” He suggested.

Qi Le’an shook his head and said. “No… I want to sit in a hot-air balloon.”

The place where they were about to sit in the balloons was called Goreme. All the planes from Batumi to Goreme had to be transferred from Istanbul, taking countless hours. They decided to charter a car directly, which would take less time than flying and allow them to enjoy the sights along the way.

However, Qi Le’an had been distracted all the way and had been looking at his phone all the time.

Wei Changfeng would be stupid if he hadn’t noticed it. When they arrived at the rest area, while the driver was off the car to refuel, Wei Changfeng asked, “Le’an, what happened?”

Qi Le’an put on an embarrassed expression and said, “The ads I’m endorsing… They’ve been asked to go offline.”

Wei Changfeng was startled.

Qi Le’an shrugged and said, “The hot Weibo has also been deleted and the hot search has been taken down. The senior said that he had received a notice from the Bureau of Culture. He asked me if I had offended anyone.

He Ziming, who invited Qi Le’an to sign in Weibo was also a student of Teacher Luo. So he directly told Qi Le’an about it because of the relationship.

Wei Changfeng’s expression became serious. He picked up his phone to send a few messages and said, “Let’s go back to China.”

The driver nodded, played an English song, and adjusted the navigation.

In the back seat, Wei Changfeng said to Qi Le’an, “I just asked Brother Sheng and he is still not informed. If he doesn’t know, it means that things have not been settled yet.”

Qi Le’an didn’t understand. He felt that he did nothing wrong and didn’t know why he would face such a situation.

Yes, this kind of situation only reminded him of two words, that is “being banned”.

“All the TV shows and movies you’ve been in haven’t been dropped,” Wei Changfeng said to Qi Le’an with his phone ringing, “It wouldn’t be a ban, don’t be afraid.”

Qi Le’an sighed.

It was Chen Shan’s first time as an agent and he was flustered, so he called Qi Le’an. Wei Changfeng, on the other hand, had been in the industry for so many years. He immediately understood what it meant and reacted quickly.

Qi Le’an did not know if someone was messing around him behind the scenes and was even looking for trouble when he was not in China.

What Wei Changfeng meant was that no matter what the situation was, they would go back. As long as they returned, they would have the power to resist.

“I’ve told Brother Sheng about it, so don’t be afraid,” Wei Changfeng consoled him.

Qi Le’an nodded and turned off his phone, “I’m not afraid as long as you are by my side.”

They bought the quickest flight home and instead of going to Hai City, they headed straight to City B.

It was just before dawn when they returned to the country. Gary personally drove to pick them up

In the car, Gary said, “President Sheng has already made an appointment with the people from the Bureau of Culture, but things didn’t go so well.”

“The people from the Bureau of Culture… When they heard it, they declined because of Le’an.”

“President Sheng asked you guys to have a good rest tonight to get over the jet lag. And he will make another appointment tomorrow.”

Qi Le’an took a deep breath, feeling that he probably couldn’t end well this time.
