150. Choice

Qi Le’an, Wei Xin’an, and the others had dinner that night and then returned to Hai City the next morning.

At noon, Yin Yan arrived at Wei Changfeng’s villa with a serious expression, holding a briefcase in his hand.

Wei Changfeng boiled some fruit tea for the two of them and left the greenhouse hesitantly. The two of them were usually busy and there were no flowers in the greenhouse. They only grew some evergreen and durable plants.

Qi Le’an thought a lot over the past two days. He had Wei Changfeng by his side and Chen Shan and the others as his advisers. He was no longer that panicked and helpless when he just learned about this matter. At night he also searched online secretly to see if there was any suitable university for him.

“I… I must continue studying,” Qi Le’an said.

Yin Yan was relieved when he heard this.

Qi Le’an didn’t feel like studying domestically that much. However, just as Gao Yufei said,  life in colleges was sophisticated. If Li Zheyu wanted to cause trouble for him, he wouldn’t even have the chance to go to school.

He looked up at Yin Yan and said, “Uncle Yin, I might not be studying in a domestic college.”

Unexpectedly, Yin Yan was not surprised at all. He nodded and took out another stack of sheets from his briefcase.

“These are the materials about some European and American schools that I have listed. You can take a look.”

Qi Le’an started reading them and found that these were the enrollment guides printed from the official websites. Every copy had some sticky notes on it, on which there were Yin Yan’s handwritten notes in Chinese.

For an instant, Qi Le’an’s eyes were a little moist.

Compared to the information about the domestic schools, it would take more effort to sort out these materials. Qi Le’an could even imagine Yin Yan was translating the materials for him with glasses on the desk under the lamplight.

“I’ve also tried to help you write down the advantages and disadvantages of the school, but you still have to read them yourself,” Yin Yan said. “If you want to study abroad, you can start preparing for it now.”

Qi Le’an turned his gaze away from the files. He looked at Yin Yan and said, “Thank you, Uncle Yin.”

After a mess, Qi Le’an finally stuffed the feeding bottle into the baby girl’s arms. The baby stopped crying and started drinking the milk while holding the bottle. It was finally quiet on the other side of Chen Shan’s call.

Qi Le’an’s forehead was sweating and Wei Changfeng’s expression was not much better. Chen Shan looked as if the world were coming to an end and muttered, “My mother has come back ahead of time…”

After they asked him further, they finally learned that Chen Shan stole the baby sister out behind the babysitter while Mrs. Chen was out shopping. To his surprise, Mrs. Chen returned home in advance and caught him off guard.

Qi Le’an didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. “You are so unbelievable!”

“I only wanted to cheer you up. Chubby baby, smile at Le’an now,” Chen Shan said with a grievance.

As the baby girl had been well-fed now, she became a little angel again. So, she grinned at Qi Le’an.

Qi Le’an was surprised. She could understand human words!

Chen Shan said smugly, “She is very smart. What a cutie!”

Wei Changfeng also couldn’t help playing with the baby girl. He rang the bell to make some sounds. The baby girl’s gaze moved as Wei Changfeng rang the bell and she kept reaching out her hands for the bell.

Wei Changfeng politely said, “Hello, Auntie.”

Wei Changfeng casually packed some cookies made in the afternoon and said, “I made these cookies. Auntie, you may take them home.”

Mrs. Chen was so happy that she felt like making another person her godson!

Mrs. Chen took away the baby girl while Chen Shan stayed. At night, Wei Changfeng was cooking in the kitchen while Qi Le’an and Chen Shan were discussing in the living room.

“Have you decided yet?” asked Chen Shan?

Qi Le’an nodded and looked at Wei Changfeng in the kitchen, “Yes, but I haven’t decided on the specific school yet.”

Chen Shan nodded and said, “I think studying abroad is much better than studying domestically. When you go abroad, you can also fight for Oscar.”

Qi Le’an didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, “Come on. Oscar?”

Unexpectedly, Chen Shan said formally, “Why not? After all, you are abroad by then. Besides, you can go to Hollywood too! By the way, about colleges, you can consult Wei Changfeng.”

Among the few movies he had made, To Perish Demons had already become a cliche. The influence he caused on to Better Days movie was negligible. Only The Disguiser was a bit tricky.

Chen Shan said, “The Disguiser has been broadcast for less than a year. This is not specified in the contract. Regarding the compensation… it depends on whether they will ask us for it or not. Anyway, you are very rich now.”
