187. Going Home

In Matamata Town, the entire mountain served as the shooting set. Wei Changfeng walked down the path with Qi Le’an. From time to time, he met some staff wearing  employee badges. They greeted Wei Changfeng with a smile and then looked at Qi Le’an curiously.

Then, Wei Changfeng would introduce Qi Le’an to others affectionately, “This is my love.”

Most people would act as if taking a tumble and greet Qi Le’an warmly.

Qi Le’an discovered that Spear’s crew consisted of professionals coming from all over the world. The working atmosphere here was tense and delightful, and everyone seemed to be happy and proud to be here.

“Every main staff member is personally invited by Director Spear,” Wei Changfeng introduced to Qi Le’an, “only a few are hired, local workers.”

Qi Le’an nodded and rejoiced that Wei Changfeng came here.

The two of them finally reached the foot of the hill. The mushroom-like buildings were right in front of them. Qi Le’an found that although these rooms were small, they were well furnished and even very delicate.

Qi Le’an looked at the houses curiously, wondering if he could go in there.

Wei Changfeng saw through what Qi Le’an was thinking about. He ran aside and said something to the staff. Then, he walked back with a set of keys.

“Let’s go. I’ll take you inside for fun,” Wei Changfeng smiled and said.

Qi Le’an hastily followed.

The two of them entered a small and low house randomly. Wei Changfeng looked at the room number, found the corresponding key, and opened the door. Qi Le’an was surprised, “Can we enter every room?”

Wei Changfeng nodded and covered Qi Le’an’s head with both hands, “Yes, but only the building of the interior of the central area is complete. The rest is still in construction.”

The two entered the room. Qi Le’an found that this place was quite spacious but the roof unusually low, so he could only bend his body.

“In the future, this place will probably become a tourist attraction,” Wei Changfeng said with a smile, “Come on, my first tourist.”

Qi Le’an also smiled and sat down on the stool in front of the fireplace, saying, “Then, help take a photo of your tourist.”

Wei Changfeng was a little hesitant. Qi Le’an immediately realized the confidentiality treaty and hastened to say, “Forget it. Don’t take it then.”

Wei Changfeng took out his phone and smiled, saying, “Let’s take a selfie.”

Then, he leaned over to Qi Le’an with his phone in hand.

The two of them took a photo in front of the fireplace. Qi Le’an couldn’t help sighing that his love was handsome from whatever angle! In comparison, his face looked a little bigger…

After coming out of the small and low house, the two of them strolled around again and then ran into Director Spear, who was chasing sheep.

Wei Changfeng was surprised when he saw the director was rolling on the slideway. He asked, “I thought there were no shooting arrangements today?”

An assistant next to Spear said laughingly. “The director wants to shoot on impulse.”

Wei Changfeng understood. Indeed, Spear did a lot of things on the spur of the moment.

The white-bearded old man slid back from the other side after shooting the scene of the sheep. He smiled and greeted Wei Changfeng, saying, “Fynn! Come and see these sheep!”

Wei Changfeng signaled to Qi Le’an to wait aside for a while and then trotted over to look at Spear’s new videos about the sheep from the monitor.

This flock of sheep was smaller than normal sheep. Qi Le’an felt that he had entered a mini kingdom.

The assistant who had just spoken to Wei Changfeng brought over a cup of coffee and said to Qi Le’an, “Hello, An!”

The assistant was a red-hair man. Qi Le’an was surprised that the man knew his name.

The red-hair man grinned, “Is your throat better? The coffee is neither too hot nor too cold. Have some coffee first.”

He even knew that Qi Le’an had a sore throat. Qi Le’an couldn’t help but laugh, “Thank you.”

When hearing Qi Le’an weak sound, the red-hair man put on a pitiful look, “Fynn is right. You are indeed seriously ill.”

Qi Le’an was so speechless. What did Wei Sama tell everyone?

Soon, Wei Changfeng and Spear came back together.

The two of them looked happy when Spear saw Qi Le’an, “An, welcome to our secret world.”

Then, he winked at Qi Le’an.

Qi Le’an wouldn’t save his praise, “This place is awesome!”

Spear listened to Qi Le’an’s voice and couldn’t help but laugh, “I thought that Fynn was exaggerating. I didn’t expect you really couldn’t talk!”

Qi Le’an was lost for words. Did the whole crew know about his loss of voice?

Qi Le’an guessed it right. The handsome and gentle Wei Changfeng had won the hearts of countless girls when he came to New Zealand. When they saw the ring on his hand, the girls were all heartbroken! Thus, they tried to find out who took away their prince charming!

Wei Changfeng didn’t conceal this. Unexpectedly, within three days, the news that Fynn had a gay lover as handsome as him had already spread among the crew.

Later, Wei Changfeng borrowed the kitchen and cooked there. Then, the news about his lover, An, who was sick and lost his voice, spread over the crew again…

Therefore, some people would always be the focus of the crowd no matter where they went, which they couldn’t hide anyway.

“Since you’re sick, you should relax. Let Fynn take you around and have fun. You don’t need to go back to Wellington with the crew.” Spear generously “lent” Wei Changfeng to Qi Le’an and said, “but you have to return Fynn next week. The work cannot proceed without him here.”

Qi Le’an couldn’t help but feel proud that no matter what Wei Sama did, he was a must-have role.

The next shooting site of the crew was around Wellington. Wei Changfeng and Qi Le’an played in Matamata Town for a long time before flying back to the capital of New Zealand at noon.

After returning to Wellington, Wei Changfeng naturally had no reason to stay in a hotel. However, he still asked Qi Le’an, “Are you going home together or staying outside?”

Qi Le’an was a little hesitant… Would it mean differently when he returned home with Wei Changfeng this time?

The ring on his and Wei Sama’s hands could be seen with a little attention.

Seeing Qi Le’an hesitate, Wei Changfeng smiled and said, “How about staying outside?  Anyway, I have to stay with the crew the day after tomorrow.”

It would be a few days only. Qi Le’an had no reason to stop Wei Changfeng from going home.

It was just meeting parents! Since Wei Sama was not afraid, why would Le’an be afraid?

So Qi Le’an gritted his teeth and said with his half-ruined voice, “Let’s go home!”

Wei Changfeng smiled.

Knowing that her son was going home, Wei Mama was very happy. She started humming the small tune and made soup early, and went to the market to buy the food to cook the dishes her son loved to eat.

At 2 p.m., Wei Changfeng knocked on his door in Wellington. Wei Mama greeted him with a smile and then found that there was another person.

She was stunned for a moment before smiling. “Alas! Le’an? Why are you here with Feng?”

Qi Le’an smiled shyly, “Hello, Aunty.”

As soon as he said this, Wei Mama was shocked and said, “What’s wrong?! What’s wrong with your voice?”

Wei Changfeng explained aside, “A few days ago, he had to act in the snow in New York and got sick. He hasn’t got recovered yet.”

Wei Mama said with pity, “Come on in. Come on in. It’s not easy to recover as you have a sore throat! Why did you act in the snow? It was too suffering!”

While nagging, Wei Mama let the two of them in. Then, she called the housekeeper to get some warm water.

The housekeeper was a Malaysian Chinese, who looked chubby and particularly amiable. She poured the honey pomelo tea and Wei Changfeng took it. The ring on his finger flashed across and Wei Mama’s eyes widened.

Wei Changfeng handed the honey pomelo tea to Qi Le’an. Wei Mama still didn’t notice it and then said, “What a coincidence! I just cleaned the guest room with Jianhua yesterday, and we’ve got a guest today!”

Jianhua was the name of the housekeeper.

Wei Changfeng smiled and listened to his mother talking. Wei Mama also smiled and said, “I’ve called your dad to come back for dinner. Do you want to go and rest for a while?”

Wei Changfeng glanced at Qi Le’an and nodded. Then, he carried Qi Le’an’s luggage upstairs.

He didn’t let Qi Le’an go to the guest room but brought him back to his room.

On the way, Qi Le’an was worried. As soon as he entered the room, he said, “The housekeeper saw it!”

Wei Changfeng didn’t mind at all and even said, “Then my mother will know soon.”

Qi Le’an was still a little afraid. After all, he had taken away such an excellent son from his mother!

Qi Le’an was still thinking about what he should do when Wei Mama came later. Speaking of the devil, he heard someone knock on the door.

“Wei Changfeng! Are you hiding any good news from me?”

Wei Mama pushed the door open in surprise and was stunned to see Qi Le’an in the room.

Qi Le’an, who was sitting on the bed, jumped up in fright.

Wei Mama also knew that she was too excited, so she hastened to ask, “Le’an is also here? It’s okay, sit down!”

Her eyes were full of delight. Her facial expression looked just like Wei Changfeng when he was happy.

Qi Le’an suddenly felt sad.

Wei Mama couldn’t help glancing at her son’s hand and saying, “Did you lead Le’an to see the guest room? If you need anything else, just tell me!”

Qi Le’an hadn’t gone to see the room yet but he still said, “I need nothing else.”

Wei Mama still smiled and said, “Fine! Just tell me if you need anything!”

After she said this, she seemed to have thought of something again and said, “Le’an, do you know whether Feng dating any girl outside?”

When she said this, Wei Mama was still looking at Wei Changfeng.

She wanted to figure out something in a roundabout way.

Qi Le’an couldn’t answer this question.

Wei Mama smiled and blinked at Qi Le’an, “Okay, you have a rest first. Let’s talk tonight!”

Then, she closed the door happily again.

Qi Le’an wanted to cry out of sadness without reason or rhythm.

He was not afraid of the eyes of the public or his family’s dislikes, but upon thinking that Wei Mama who held high expectations in her son would soon find out the truth, he couldn’t help feeling sad.

That was Wei Changfeng’s mother! If she was sad, Wei Changfeng would be upset too, right?

The last thing he wanted to see was that Wei Sama was sad.

Wei Changfeng noticed something wrong with Qi Le’an’s feelings and asked, “What’s wrong? Le’an?”

Qi Le’an remained silent.

Wei Changfeng felt heartache and asked, “Are you…not ready?”

Qi Le’an looked at Wei Changfeng. He was ready! Yet, he was just afraid that everything happened too fast and his love would get hurt.
