46. Tantalizing

Qi Le An thought that Wei Chang Feng would take him to those fancy cafés or bars with petty views by the riverside. He didn’t expect that this person would turn around and head to the walking path from the dock to the Pearl River.

There were quite a few small fishing boats along the river, but these fishing boats were rarely used for personal use, and most of them were hired by the government to collect garbage.

Walking several hundred meters along the river, the road became more and more desolate. The two of them just walked quietly along the riverside with grass and weeds overgrown.

From time to time, they could see a few young couples talking a romantic walk under the dim moonlight, but no one could recognize them for it was so dark.

Looking at Wei Chang Feng, Qi Le An thought that rivers could be wild and untamed sometimes.

Wei Chang Feng smiled and said, “I know what you are thinking, but rivers are much gentler in general.”

Qi Le An’s feet were all better now, but his heart, on the other hand, was hammering like crazy.

‘Why Wei Chang Feng is always ridiculously nice to me! It almost feels like he is tantalizing me! But the thing is he is doing all that because he is a gentleman!’

Qi Le An seemed a little absent-minded on the way back. He didn’t quite hear Wei Chang Feng’s ‘good night, An’ when they returned to the hotel. Chen Shan was surprised to see his boy walking to the room in a daze, “What happened? Things didn’t go well?”

“…Ah? It’s done.” It took Qi Le An a few seconds to reply to Chen Shan.

Chen Shan frowned and stared at Qi Le An for a long time.

Although Qi Le An had been saying that he could apply for the medicine by himself, Chen Shan vetoed that idea and insisted on doing it for him. With that, he started to apply the ointment to Qi Le An’s arm.

Chen Shan left the room after he said goodnight to Qi Le An. Qi Le An kept tossing and turning on the bed, he was unable to fall asleep. He thought for a long time and then entered the Nightmare System.

The light globe became more and more curious, it slammed into Qi Le An’s head with a bang! Then it flew tens of meters away.

Qi Le An was taken aback. He just felt that slam, and to his surprise, it turned out to be the light globe!

“I can feel you!” Qi Le An exclaimed.

The light globe flew a little closer to Qi Le An, and said bitterly, “Of course! Can’t you see? I’m a ball!”

Qi Le An sighed and said to the light globe, “Hey…a quick question… Apart from fabricating dreams, can I enter other people’s dreams?”

He was just mumbling to himself, but the light globe replied, “Yes of course.”

Qi Le An’s eyes widened suddenly, and he reached out his hand to catch the light globe. The light globe flew far away with fear, and said vigilantly, “What do you want to do?”

Qi Le An exulted, “Is it true?”

“Have I ever lied to you!”

“Then why didn’t you mention it before!”

“You didn’t ask me!”

Qi Le An found it pointless to argue with the Nightmare System over this boring issue, so he gave up and demanded, “All right! Tell me how to enter other people’s dreams! Just tell me!”

“Not that easy.” Nightmare system said.

“I’m all ears!” Qi Le An’s eyes were sparkling.

“First of all, it’s about the physical contact,” the light globe said in a serious tone, “Secondly, it’s still about the physical contact, the more the better.”

Qi Le An thought for a while, and found that neither of the two requirements was difficult! ‘So I can enter Wei Chang Feng’s dream?’

“But the most important thing is you gotta be each other’s soul mate!” the system added.

Three days had passed, Qi Le An’s arm was so much better. He could ask the makeup artist to cover the scab with some concealer.

The night before Qi Le An returned to the set, he received a call from Dou Zhi Yuan.

“Qi Ge, words fail to express me, I don’t know how to thank you.” Dou Zhi Yuan was a little choked, Qi Le An smiled, “It’s nothing, don’t be burdened by that.”

Dou Zhi Yuan sniffed and said to Qi Le An, “Feel free to laugh at me, Qi Ge, I was all packed up and ready to go home. I’m just thrilled that I can stay and keep my job, it’s really…Thank you Qi Ge!”

Qi Le An on the other side of the phone smiled quietly, knowing that his goal was achieved.

Chen Shan didn’t pester Qi Le An further, he just ran through the next day’s schedule with him and went back to his room after saying goodnight.

Qi Le An was so excited to get back to work after three days off, he beamed on thinking about shooting together with Wei Chang Feng the next day.

Unfortunately, Qi Le An’s schedule needed to be updated, the hard cold fact was he wouldn’t be shooting with Wei Chang Feng the next day.
