Chapter 16

Quiet Waters (boyxboy)

So, I'm sorry for dragging the warehouse scene on for so long, but I'm so lazy! Anyway, there's only one more warehouse scene after this, and then the warehouse will no longer be mentioned! Yay! A kiss between Cole and Kent is in here, just so that you know. Also, this chapter was really hard to write, and I do not condone Tyler's actions in this chapter, as usual with every chapter with Tyler in it! I hate Tyler too!

Enjoy!

Chapter 16: Tyler's POV, Wednesday night, in the warehouse

“Ready or not, here I come!” I yelled loudly, just ensuring that Cole and his little fairy friend could hear me; it just wouldn't be fair to them if they couldn't hear me.

I didn't even understand why Cole would be helping Mr. Gay, unless...oh my fucking god, I knew what was going on between them!

Cole was dating, in not at least messing around with, Kent! I laughed maniacally upon this realization. I knew that, armed with this information, I could easily undermine Cole's 'great popularity' and make sure that Cole Bradley, the supposed 'pure all-American' boy of our school, was truly shown for what he was: a sinful, homosexual, cock-sucker.

Since, I felt nice at the moment about this new discovery, I decided that I would tell the two immoral love-birds what I would do. “Hey, Cole! Hey Kent!” I hollered, cupping my hands like a megaphone. “Just wait until I text everyone at school about you two together! Everyone will be so surprised! Ha!”

I decided that even though I shouldn't have given my location away, since Cole had a gun like me and he was a great shot since I still remembered ninth-grade camp when we all had to shoot hand-guns in a shooting range, it was still worth it when I heard a panicked gasp coming from a different part of the room.

I smiled and quietly stepped around some more destroyed metal crates and chairs, moving to the opposite side of the source of the sound. My eyes scanning the room for any signs of life or movement. When I got to the other side of the room, I quickly took out my phone and started texting away to the biggest gossip of the school: Caitlin Castle.

With me sending a single text to Caitlin, the entire school would know about Kent and Cole's little affair with in ten minutes. So I quickly texted Caitlin the following message, thanks ful for my unlimited characters:

Caitlin,

Hey, I just found out something juicy, so you'd better brace yourself! So, you know how Cole has been acting a bit strange lately? Well I finally found out why: he's screwing some guy in our grade! Ok, so you want to know who, right? Well, you remember that really quiet, smart, but really good swimmer guy that I've been seeing (the really rich one), and yeah, you know why, right, sine I think that I told you, no? Well it's him I'm fairly certain. Just thought that I should let you know, text me back if you want more details! :)

-Tyler

P.S.

Don't be afraid to forward this to everyone that you know!

Simple.

After I pushed the 'send' button, I moved swiftly to the sound of the intake of air and tried to remember where it exactly came from so that I could simply aim and fire, ensuring my victory quickly.

When I looked directly above, I saw that there was actually another level to this run-down place.

“Well, this ought to be more interesting now, huh?” I whispered to myself as my eyes began to roam the ground looking for the stairs that would lead Cole, and maybe Kent too if I just so happened to 'miss' Cole, to his, or both of their, demise.

Not that I'm that evil or anything.

-Paul's POV: Wednesday night, in his room at the Whitman's,-

“Oh, Piggy, why are you so awkward?” I quietly murmured as I read the line where Piggy tries to get everyone to listen to him. Lord of the Flies was different than most of the other books that I had read, and it was really good too, so I liked it a lot, surprisingly.

I was reading with the flashlight on my phone until my phone started vibrating, turning off the flashlight and becoming the regular, boring light.

I checked the phone warily since it was about eleven o'clock at night, and on a school night too, and no one that I knew at school stayed up this late, but it really threw me off when I didn't recognize the number immediately, but it looked familiar...wait! That was my brother's cell phone number! Cole was texting me!

I eagerly read the message and was perplexed when the first line said that it was Kent texting me, and not Cole, despite the phone number. I opened the entire text message to find that it read:

Paul,

I sure hop that you're getting this text message. It's Kent texting you since Cole and I are really need your help; we're in danger and we need you to call the police and tell them that a homicidal manic has a gun and has trapped both of us in the old abandoned warehouse down on Sycamore Road. Tell them that he will shoot us if he has the chance, so tell the police to hurry! Call 911 after you read this message.

Love,

Cole and Kent

As much as it touched my heart that Kent just told me that he loved me like Cole did, which was nice for him to do, I was still terrified by the content of their text message, so I immediately threw the covers off of my body and dashed to the house phone that was set on my personal table, generally used for homework or drawing, and frantically dialed 911, hoping that the police wouldn't think that I was some little kid playing a prank on the police just because his friends told him to do it.

“Hello, this is 911, what's your emergency?” A woman spoke calmly and crisply, enunciating every syllable so that I could hear her perfectly.

“Hello, um, my brother and his friend just sent me a text saying that they're being held by a homicidal maniac with a gun who may shoot them at any time in the old abandoned warehouse on Sycamore Road.” I could feel myself trying to calm myself down so that I could speak clear enough for the woman to hear my words. “Please help them, they really are getting worried!”

“It's ok, sweetie, just stay calm, I'll send the police tight over there to get your brother and his friend out of there safely, please relax and I'll take care of everything else, good-night,” And with those words, the entire situation was out of my control; I had to trust the police now, although, they hadn't really believed Cole nor me when we tried to tell them that our dad was a threat to both of our safety.

My eyes dropped to the bracelet that I still wore when Cole had given it to me not so long ago as I murmured to nothing in particular, “Please let Cole and Kent be ok,”

-Cole's POV: Wednesday night, in the warehouse-

I was holding Kent tightly as I slowly stroked his soft light brown hair while his light green eyes looked up hopefully at me.

“We'll get out of here, right?” He tentatively asked as he twiddled his thumbs.

I gently kissed the top of his head. “Of course, but I'll make sure that you're safe; don't worry, Kent, I'll get you out of here somehow, even if it's the last thing that I ever do,” I really wanted to believe in my words, but I just couldn't think of a plan that was safe enough for Kent, and I would not risk putting him in any more danger tonight, even if that meant that he would just have to stay with me in our little secluded corner.

We had moved to a better position on the second floor that gave us an even better view of the first floor, but more importantly the set of stairs that led up to our current floor.

I pulled Kent around so that he could bury his face into my chest as I pulled him even closer to me, and damn, did it feel right. Never in my life did I ever think that I'd end up loving another guy like the way that I loved Kent now. It just felt so...right; like we were made for each other and it all made sense once I took a single look into his stunningly beautiful light green eyes that reminded me of new blades of grass sprouting from the ground in the Springtime.

I smiled at Kent gently as I pulled his face to mine while my lips captured his in a passionate and heated kiss. I made sure not to let my eyes drop from the stairs since that was the only thing that gave both of us safety from Tyler and his gun. Although, it was pretty hard when Kent was kissing me the way he was, making me hard from him beginning to grind painfully slow against my groin while our tongues battled for dominance.

It really didn't help when he moaned ever so slightly into my mouth, which made me want to take him right there, despite the danger of getting shot by a crazy kid who loved money too much.

“Kent,” I quietly growled, reluctantly pulling away from his heavenly lips. “We're in a life or death situation, and all you want to do is kiss me?” I questioned jokingly.

Kent smiled me a proud grin and nodded. “Did you like it?”

“Hell yeah,” I said as I let Kent rest his sleepy head on my shoulder. When I noticed this, I whispered, “Don't worry, you can sleep, I'll be damned if I let something happen to you while you're with me,”

“Thanks, and Cole?”

“Yeah?” I grinned lightly as I looked down slightly at him.

“I love you still,”

“I love you too, Kent, and I mean it, too,”

I watched peacefully as Kent fell asleep on my shoulder, reveling in how sexy he looked to me in his sleep.

I was starting to doze off, my mind screaming at me to not for Kent's safety until I heard footsteps approaching where Kent and I were cuddled up together.

My mind began to panic; what if I had to shoot Tyler, but ended up missing, so Tyler got a shot in and it actually hit Kent? My heart cracked a bit at the thought of Kent being gone from my life forever, and it only boosted my determination to keep Kent safe as the steps came closer and closer to our hiding spot.

I quickly woke Kent up and told him to be prepared to run or take the gun and shoot Tyler himself in case I couldn't for any reason.

“But Cole, I-”

I interrupted Kent to kiss him quickly and to tell him, “I think that I have a plan. It's reckless and stupid, but you'll be safe,”

“Cole!” Kent whined as I whispered the plan in his ear. “That's way to risky; you'll get killed!”

“But you'll live, and that's what is more important to me now since I have you. I'm not going to let Tyler hurt you just because I don't have the balls to protect you!” I was actually angry now that Kent had wanted me to rethink my plan since it was too risky in his opinion, but it's not like Kent came up with a better, safer plan, so I stuck to my original plan, knowing that I may very well die from this plan if it didn't work out all right.

“I love you,” Kent whispered.

“I love you even more, Kent,” I chuckled, trying to keep Kent's mood light, despite the situation we were in right now.

The footsteps were almost about to turn the corner so that we could see him, and I drew out the gun that I really didn't want to use at all, but I would use it if the need was there.

I guess that I was really and truly madly in love with Kent, because I remember that my mother once said how you knew that you were madly in love with someone if you were willing to give your own life just to protect them.

I stole a quick glance at Kent and noticed just how beautiful he really was: beautiful light green eyes, light brown hair which fell just to his ears which always listened to me so well, his porcelain skin which looked magnificent in the moonlight from the windows right above us, the small curve of his back which I knew held my hand so perfectly as if it was custom-made for me, and more importantly, Kent's lips, which I had gotten to know so well in these past few days, and what I would love to just kiss sweetly, softly, and passionately all day long for the rest of our lives.

Yep, I was hopelessly in love with Kent Whitman, and I loved it.

I turned my attention back to the shadow which grew larger with every passing second.

I raised my gun and aimed as I had done so many times with other objects before in preparation to use it against my dad if he ever got out of hand and started beating Paul.

“I'm sorry,” I softly said, knowing that this may cost me the right to ever see Paul again, since I may very well kill him if I got my hands on Tyler, and knowing that Paul was totally against violence. “But I wouldn't be able to live if anything happened to Kent right now....”

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aren't I an evil person, making you peole wait to see whtt will happen next and to find out what Cole's plan is? Yeah, I am...tough, you'll have to wait, just like Cole and Kent are waiting in my mind right now for me to write what happens next!

Poor them.

Anyway, comment and vote if you want.
