Chapter 1075
Married at First Sight
Serenity returned to the bookstore at 2:50 pm.
Zachary personally sent her to the store.
âI have a social function tonight,â Zachary said somberly when Serenity got out of the car.
Serenity looked at him and instinctively asked, âWhat time will you leave the office? Donât drink too much, and definitely donât drink on an empty stomach. Itâll hurt your tummy.â
âI took medicine for three days. My stomach will be fine.â
Serenity said, âEven if your stomach is fine, you still have to take care of it. Iâll send you some food before you leave work. Eat a little before going, but still, donât drink too much. Itâs best if you can forgo drinking altogether.â
âOkay, Iâll listen to you. Iâll wait for you to send food to me before leaving.â
Zacharyâs dark eyes burned as he looked at Serenity.
Serenity instantly understood what he wanted and turned back to kiss his face. Then, she pinched his cheek. Just as Zachary was about to strike, she slipped out of the car swiftly so he could not catch her.
Zachary wanted to say something to her, but she did not hear.
Anyway, she agreed to let him do whatever he wanted after two more days.
Serenity smiled and went into the bookstore.
Elisa and Jasmine were both in the store. One was holding a novel and reading it, and the other was fiddling with Serenityâs half-weaved craft.
They looked at her at the same time when they saw her come in with a smile.
Elisa spoke first. âJasmine, have you noticed that Seren is getting prettier and prettier? Her smile is getting sweeter as well. Itâs as bright as the morning sun.â
Jasmine closed the novel she had not finished reading. Elisa and Serenity both did not understand why she loved reading novels so much.
âWith love as nourishment, sheâs naturally becoming more beautiful.â
Serenity laughed and retorted, âThatâs the pot calling the kettle black.â
Josh and Jasmine had eventually become a couple as they got along in their daily life. They were an incredibly relaxed and sweet couple since they did not have to go through the twists and turns that Serenity and Zachary had.
Josh was well-tempered, and Jasmine was not pretentious, so they got along well. Joshâs EQ was also much higher than his two friends, and he was someone romantic. Jasmine could not resist his romancing and raised her hands in surrender very quickly.
The two ladies looked at Elisa in unison. Elisa was the only one among them who was still single.
âDonât look at me. Iâm not in the mood to date now. I want to learn to be a strong woman like my mom when she was young.â
Elisa grinned and touched her face, saying confidently, âIâm beautiful even without the nourishment of love.â
âThatâs true. Youâre always beautiful. You were born beautiful. I love how forthright you are.â
Serenity walked to the cashierâs desk. Elisa gave up her seat and asked, âIs your online store still open?â
âOf course. Iâm a person who can never have too much money. As long as thereâs money to be made and I can cope with the workload, Iâll continue the online store.â
She sat down and continued to work on her craft while saying, âElisa, have you finished the plan? Tell us about it. Weâre both rookies, so we need you to take the lead.â
âSeren, you can hire people to help you with handicrafts. That way, you can continue the operation of your online shop while freeing up time to do other things. Youâll earn less money, but youâll earn money all the same,â Elisa suggested.
Serenity said, âI recently contacted several classmates who were in the same major as I was. Theyâre mostly housewives now and have no income. They also tried opening an online store but failed to keep it running. They said theyâll give me an answer tomorrow.â
She had more important things to do, so she could not focus entirely on the online store as she did before.
Her classmates who learned to weave crafts together with her did not succeed in starting an online business. However, it was not because they lacked skill. She was simply luckier than them and had Zachary, his brothers, as well as Elisa to recommend her crafts to others.
