Chapter 157
Married at First Sight
Chapter 157 âIâll have a talk with my sister. This canât go on. Sheâll only be treated like dirt.â
Liberty would always be at a disadvantage without a source of income.
âHow about we ask your sister to work at our shop? Iâll pay your sisterâs wages. You donât have to fork out the money. Liberty would be able to take care of Sonny too.
Thatâs an added bonus.â
Jasmine had Libertyâs interest at heart.
Serenity sighed. âMy sister wonât come. She believes our business is not doing well because I run an online business for additional income.â
As a matter of fact, the shop was making a bit of profit.
However, Liberty refused to make money out of Serenity, and no amount of words could persuade Liberty otherwise âLiberty used to work in finance. Iâll ask Shawn if Lowe Enterprise is hiring at the moment Itâd be great to get Liberty into my undeâs company. Although the company {anât Fonpare to York Corporation and Stone Group, itâs a bag bustard Iturripluyeroâpriks dial welfare arenât too slatby âShawn could also look out for Liberty. Liberty had worked in her field for many years, so sheâs pretty experienced.â
Serenity gave it a thought before inquiring, âDo you think itâll be okay? Itâs been three years since her last job. Sheâs been out of touch with society for the last few years, so sheâs starting over with her career. Shawn is still learning the ropes in his familyâs business. Heâs probably not in the position to give my sister a job.â âAre you buying Shawn lunch this weekend? You can ask him if he can help out.
Iâll ask my uncle if he canât authorize the hiring.â Jasmineâs uncle was the boss of Lowe Enterprise.
âAlright then. Iâll ask Shawn for my sister. Thank you, Jasmine.â
âDonât thank me. What are friends for? Your sister is my sister. I feel bad for the hardship Libertyâs facing now. I want to help her to be independent. Women should be self -reliant instead of relying too much on men.â
Jasmine learned a lot from Libertyâs marriage.
Although Jasmine got money in the bank and would certainly marry into her own social class, she was not going to live at the mercy of her man.
âDonât stress yourself about it. Libertyâs all but useless. Her careerâs only put on hold by a child and marriage.
Sheâll find success and newfound confidence once sheâs out of this fix.
âBut you should urge Liberty to go on a diet. She should look after herself. She canât count on people to be nice when she doesnât treat herself right.â
Jasmine always put herself first. Even Serenity would spare no expenses to get the best skincare for the upkeep of her appearance.
âIâll have a good talk with my sister tonight.â
Serenity believed her sister should cut down the pounds too. Liberty stood at five feet three, and weighed ninety pounds before marriage. She was now at two hundred pounds.
Her sister should shed pounds not just for her outward beauty, but also for her own health.
Liberty ate a lot for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus snacks in between. Her waistline had grown due to the lack of exercise too.
Serenity found pleasure in eating too, but she stayed active to watch her figure.
âMaybe I should talk to my sister now.â
Pulling out her phone, Serenity was about to call her sister when her plione rang. It was Zachary. âMr.
York.â
