Chapter 1684
Married at First Sight
Grandma May got up and looked at Duncan for a moment. She sighed and walked out of the room.
At the Brownsâ residence, Jessica was lying on the sofa, playing with her phone looking delighted.
At this time, the door opened.
Mrs. Brown and Chelsea came back.
Jessica did not like Chelsea, her sisterâinâlaw, because she thought Chelsea was shameless.
Chelsea did not greet Jessica either. Jessica and Hank moved back into their newly renovated apartment since Liberty destroyed the previous renovation.
Even after moving out of the rented apartment, they did not have any peace.
Chelsea was not at all conscientious. She regarded their apartment as her second home and came whenever she pleased. She would come emptyâhanded and would leave with whatever she could find in the refrigerator.
How shameless!
Jessica quarreled with Chelsea many times because of this.
Jessica thought that her husbandâs family would treat her well when they found out she was pregnant, but that was just wishful thinking.
Her motherâinâlaw practiced more restraint, but Chelsea did not restrain herself at all. Jessica complained to Hank that she would get a miscarriage if Chelsea pissed her off again.
If Jessica was not pregnant, she would have had to return to jail and finish her sentence.
âJessica, donât play with your phone so much. Itâs not good for the baby.â
When Mrs. Brown went in and saw her daughterâinâlaw lying on the sofa playing with her phone, Mrs.
Brown could not help but nag.
Jessica almost got Liberty and Sonny killed but after Jessica went to prison, she found out that she was pregnant with Hankâs child.
At first, Mrs. Brown was against Hank helping Jessica to apply for a reprieve. In the end, Mrs. Brown decided to endure it since Jessica was pregnant with her grandchild.
âIâm watching the news.â
Jessica sat up and glanced at Chelsea. âOh, Chelsea is here again. Mom, isnât Chelsea married? Why is she still coming to our house almost every day? Those who didnât know better would think. that Chelsea is a divorcee who was kicked out by her husbandâs family.
âLook, I seldom go back to my parentsâ house because I donât want to intrude on their daily lives.â
Chelsea said with a glumi face, âDo you dare go back to their house? Do you even have a home to go back to? You know how much your family hates you. I bet they wish they could cut off all ties with you and announce it to the world! Why would they welcome you back?
âIâm different. My parents welcome me back, and my brother has no objections. So, I can come home whenever I want. I donât care if you hate me. How long will you be around anyway? After giving birth, youâll be sent back to prison!â
Jessica was speechless.
Chelseaâs words really pissed her off.
Seeing that her motherâinâlaw had no intention of helping her, Jessica sneered and said, âI know that you all want Hank to divorce me and remarry Liberty. Do that if you want Hank to die.
âLiberty is a jinx. Havenât you read the news? Mr. Lewis got into a car accident and may become disabled for the rest of his life because of her.
âIf you allow Hank to remarry Liberty, who knows if her bad luck will get to Hank? Hank may even get into a car accident since heâs a fullâtime Uber driver now.â
Chelsea and Mrs. Brownâs expressions were gloomy when they heard what Jessica said.
