Chapter 1778
Married at First Sight
Doctor: âHankâs Family.â
âDoctor, we are his parents. Doctor, how is my son doing?â
Mr. Brown helped his wife with weak legs to meet her, and asked anxiously.
The doctor said: âHe has too severe of an injury. We completed every operation that was possible. Heâs still in danger. He needs to spend some time in the intensive care unit. It is up to him whether he can wake up.â
Mrs. Brownâs body limped.
Mr. Brown couldnât hold his wife steady, but Liberty gave her a hand to stabilize her, and Mr. Brown didnât let her fall to the ground.
âDoctor, save my son, please save my son, Iâm just a son, heâs still so youngâ¦â Mrs. Brown grabbed the doctorâs white coat and begged.
âAuntie.â Liberty pulled her hand back, apologized and thanked the doctor.
The doctor understood the feelings of the family members. He said: âWe have done everything we can.
We are not sure whether the injured will survive. You should be mentally prepared.â
In the words of the doctor, Hank was seriously injured. After so many doctorsâ efforts to rescue him, Hank was still not out of danger. He had been transferred to the ICU to live. Whether he could wake up and came out of the ICU alive depended on Hank himself.
In a word, the doctor had done his best.
âThank you doctor.â Liberty thanked the doctor again.
Mr. Brown persuaded his wife: âDonât cry, Hank is still alive, donât cry.â
Mrs. Brown was helped to sit back on the chair, took a tissue from Liberty and wiped her tears, then she remembered something, and said to Liberty: âHank is still alive, has been moved to the intensive care unit, and cannot allow his family to stay with him. Liberty, you call Serenity so that she doesnât have to send Sonny here. Donât let Sonny visit the hospital because he wonât be able to see his father, even when he comes. Sonny is so little, and itâs not a good place. â
Mrs. Brown had no idea if Hank would live or not. If the son had died, Sonny was the only grandchild who could provide for the two elderly peopleâs needs, and Mrs. Brownâs focus on Sonny had suddenly increased significantly.
Mr. Brown also said: âLiberty, your aunt is right, Sonny canât see Hank when he comes here now, so he should not come here.â
Liberty thought that her ex-husband had already been transferred to the ICU, even if sonny was sent here, he really couldnât see his father. So, she agreed to the two elders and called Zachary, so that Zachary would not have to send Sonny over.
Hank was still in danger, but at least Sonny knew he was still alive.
Under Libertyâs comfort, Mr. Brown and Mrs. Brown became more emotionally stable.
Mr. Brown said to Liberty: âLiberty, thank you for coming to see us and comfort us. Now Hank doesnât need to take care of you. You can go about your business. Your aunt and I can just stay here.â
Liberty comforted them again. After saying a few words to them, she left.
After Liberty left, Mrs. Brown beat her heart, and regretfully said: âItâs wrong, itâs wrong, itâs all wrong!â
Mr. Brown took her hand, âWhat are you talking about now, letâs pray Hank can get through it is the real thing, why is that Jessica doing it to death!â
Only when she lost, she would regret it, whatâs the use?
At the beginning, Mrs. Brown yelled the loudest, and the son could marry a better one after divorce.
Now, where was it going?
Jessica was not half as good as Liberty.
