Chapter 206
Married at First Sight
It had been one month since Zachary married Serenity and there were five months left before they would get a divorce and go their separate ways.
They would have nothing to do with each other then.
Josh and Duncan looked at each other.
Duncan said, âI thought all the men in the York family canât get a divorce?â âIâm an exception.â Zachary added coldly, âYou know why I got married to Serenity.
Even if I want a divorce, my nana canât say anything about me, let alone other people.
All of them know that Iâve suffered.â Yes, he had suffered.
To repay the favor of saving his nanaâs life, Zachary married Serenity, who was a complete stranger.
After marriage, he was generous and tolerant of her, but what did she do? Serenity lied about going to her sisterâs house when she was actually having lunch with Shawn.
Zachary, who refused to admit that he was jealous, automatically ignored Jasmineâs presence.
He also forgot that Jasmine and Shawn were cousins who were close to each other âDonât call her my wife in the future.
She doesnât deserve me!â Zacharyâs voice was deep and cold.
His handsome face was grim.
Josh said to him, âWerenât you showing off at the office the clothes that your wife bought for you two days ago? Whyâd you suddenly change your tune? Did you two get into an argument?â Zachary glared at Josh.
âI didnât ask for your opinion.â He was a little annoyed when Josh reminded him of that.
That was the first time Zachary wore such a cheap suit.
He only wore it because she bought it for him.
He thought they would be living together for a while, so he wanted to show some appreciation by wearing the clothes she gave him.
On the flip side, she did not even notice it all day.
Zachary seriously doubted that she even remembered what the clothes she bought for him looked like.
âI donât have time to argue with her! Letâs go to my hotel for drinks.
My treat.â Zachary was in a bad mood, which turned for the worse when his friend reminded him of this.
He got up and went out to go to his hotel for drinks, âOkay, weâll sacrifice our liver to accompany you and drink to your heartâs content today.â Josh and Duncan stood up.
They followed Zachary and left Beans and Cream.
Someone secretly reported to Grandma May every move Zachary made in the cafe.
After receiving firsthand gossip, Grandma May asked the manager of the cafe, âHave you seen his wife in the cafe?â The manager asked, âIsnât Mr.
York single?â The old lady smiled.
âOh, look at me, Iâm getting old and forgetful! I think Iâve been longing for a granddaughter-in-law for so long that Iâve gone delusional, thinking that Zack is married.
Send me the surveillance footage of the cafe today.â The manager was also aware of how much his boss was looking forward to her grandchildren getting married and thought she was a little delusional too.
Thus, he did not have the slightest doubt about Grandma Mayâs lies and said respectfully, âYes, maâam.â
âAlright, you can go about your work.
Zackâs always cold, like an iceberg.
Sigh⦠With his temper, I donât know when heâll be able to get married.
Iâm so worried about him.â The manager did not know how to answer.
