Chapter 2863
Married at First Sight
Julian stood up and said to Mrs. Caron, âAuntie, let me go upstairs and talk to Kiera. I will tell Kiera without reservation about my illness.â
Mrs. Caron: âOh, okay, you guys have a nice chat, and Iâll ask you to come downstairs for dinner later.â
Julian walked upstairs.
Mrs. Caron looked at his back and murmured in a low voice, âI canât tell that he is sick. What is wrong with him? Is it because he is sick that he is unmarried at such an old age?
Is there something wrong with older young people not getting married? Well, what ifâ¦My daughter still doesnât know when she will find a boyfriend. We really like Julian.â
Mrs. Caron regarded Julian as her son-in-law.
Kiera heard Julian say that he was sick and heard him say that he wanted to go upstairs. She turned around and went back to her room, pretending not to know that Julian was chatting with her mother downstairs.
Soon, Julian arrived at the door of Kieraâs room. He raised his hand and knocked on the door.
âThe door is unlocked. Come in.â Kiera responded.
Julian twisted the doorknob and actually opened the door. He pushed the door open and entered without closing the door again.
âKiera.â
Kiera sat on the sofa and watched him push the door open. She wanted to act surprised, but she couldnât act because she didnât know how to act. In the end, she just watched him walk over in silence.
Julian sat down next to her. He said, âKiera, I want to talk to you.â
âDrink water?â Kiera asked him.
After thinking for a while, Julian replied, âGive me a glass of warm water.â
Heâs afraid that if he talks too much later, his mouth will become dry.
Kiera stood up and poured him a glass of warm water, then sat down again, looked at him, pursed her lips, and asked proactively, âJulian, I heard what you said to my mom downstairs. Yes, you said you were sick. What is it? Is it serious? Tell us what problem you have, and we will introduce you to an expert doctor in that area.â
Julian replied, âI have seen a doctor, and the doctor said that medical science is helpless with me. They have no way to cure me. They can only wait and see if God wants me to live a normal life.â
Hearing this, Kiera looked worried and nervous.
Kiera said, âWhat problem is so serious that doctors canât do anything about it? You have to go to several hospitals. Sometimes, the test results from one hospital will be wrong.â
Julian: âI have seen many doctors, and the results are all the same. There is no mistake. In fact, I am still single because of this disease.â
Kiera: âYou havenât said the reason yet.â
After Julian was silent for a moment, he stared at her and said in a low voice, âApathy.â
Kiera was stunned. What kind of disease is this?
She had never heard of the disease.
Julian explained it to her.
Kiera stared at him blankly for a long time, then she asked him: âYou mean, in your situation, only when you meet a girl who can make you attracted and responsive can you become a normal man, and have you only reacted to that girl in this life and not to other women?â
