Chapter 3007
Married at First Sight
Duncan said affectionately, âFor you, I have been doing rehabilitation. I will only handle matters in the company that are particularly important. My brothers will also help me and wonât make me tired.â
Duncan said affectionately, âLiberty, if it werenât for you, I might have really given up on rehabilitation, given up on myself, and never been able to stand up for the rest of my life.â
Liberty: âfool.â
Duncan smiled and said, âIâm not a fool. I just love you and Sonny very much. People always say that you are a divorced woman. When I met you, you were fat and ugly. How could I fall in love with you? I donât know how I like you. I just like you, and I donât want to find out the reason. Maybe itâs your constant self-improvement; maybe itâs your rebirth that attracted me deeply.
I like Sonny very much. I actually donât like children. I always think children are noisy. But when I first saw Sonny, I fell in love with this child.â
âI know Iâm lucky,â Liberty said with a laugh.
Because Duncan liked Sonny, he cared and tolerated Liberty a little more.
There were more contacts.
They had been together for a long time and had feelings for each other.
âSonny is the matchmaker between the two of us.â Duncan chuckled. âThe same goes for Zachary. If it werenât for Zachary, I wouldnât know you. Liberty, letâs get married once your affairs in Jensburg are over, okay?â
Without waiting for Libertyâs answer, Duncan continued: âEven if I canât recover by then, I will still get married. I can stand up on my own and walk a few steps. Give me another year and a half, and I will definitely be back to normal. But I donât want to wait a year or two before marrying you.â
Duncan was 36 years old, and he would be 38 in two years. Soon to be 40.
Liberty felt sweet in her heart and said, âOkay, I am willing to get married with you now, but you are not willing.â
He always worried that he would not be able to return to normal and would be a drag on her. Before, he wanted to marry her, but she had not fallen in love with him and rejected his feelings. But back then, she was willing to marry him, but he refused to marry her and insisted on marrying her only after he recovered.
They were both too frustrated. They realize that it has been nearly two years and they have not yet achieved the right results.
Duncan smiled and said, âI have to know whether I can really bring you happiness and be your supporter before I can marry you.â
Liberty said, âBe aware of your own health, too.â
Duncan said, âI donât want to drag you and Sonny down.â
He was even more afraid of leaving Liberty a widow. The car accident injured him so badly that he was afraid that he would lose his humanity. Fortunately, he was a normal man.
âMom, I want to buy toys.â
Sonny ran back. Pointing to a toy store ahead, with big black eyes flashing, he made a request to Liberty. âMom, can you? I want to buy toys. There are many toys there.â
There were toys that Sonny did not have. There were some similar styles. The colors and styles differ.
âSonny, you already have a lot of toys. There are several shelves in the toy room at home, filled with your toys.â
Libertyâs instinctive reaction was to refuse to buy new toys for Sonny.
âYour cousin aunt buys you a lot of new toys every time she comes over. When you go back with your aunt, those uncles also buy you a lot of toys.â
Sonny immediately pouted.
He was not happy anymore.
He had many toys. But when he saw the new toys, he still wanted to buy them.
