Chapter 328
Married at First Sight
Chapter 328 The husband and wife did not mention anything about the cold war they had and reconciled in silence. Serenity originally thought of getting through the six months and forgot about it, but she could not help but feel moved by his concern for her. She wanted to break that halfâyear agreement.
However, she was afraid it was nothing but her own wishful thinking. She feared that if they divorced once the agreement expired and she ended up falling in love with him whereas he did not, she would suffer the pain of losing him and spend a long time forgetting him, all while he lived his new life happily.
Falling in love with someone was easy, yet the same could not be said about letting go of someone you love.
âDonât worry, my sister and I will definitely ask for your help if we canât solve a problem.â
Since he was kind, she would respond in like. She added, âI called my sister when she got home, and sheâs fine for now. Sheâs good at enduring, so she wonât act impulsively if she thinks itâs not time yet.
Right now, itâll be detrimental for her if she impulsively tears off the fig leaf.
LIL For Sonnyâs sake, her sister went from a walkâon actress to a blockbuster movie star in a flash.
Her skills were so marvelous that the Brown family could not tell that it was just an act.
âHer motherâinâlaw and sisterâinâlaw came again, but I donât know why. Iâll ask her when I go over to pick Sonny up tomorrow.â
Liberty was starting work at Lewis & Co. tomorrow, so Sonny would be sent to the store for Serenity to look after him.
Serenity was glad she helped take care of her nephew after he was born. The aunt and nephew had a good relationship, so he was willing to be with her and would not cry for his mommy.
âDo you want to hire a nanny to help you take care of Sonny? Boys his age are very active, and youâre busy sometimes. If he runs out while youâre not careful, the consequences will be unimaginable.â
Zachary thought over it well.
Serenity considered and said, âMaybe, but not now. Iâll make sure to carry him on my back when Iâm busy and wonât let him run around. Iâll only hire a nanny if I really canât handle it. Iâm worried the nanny will take advantage of our inattention to bully the chitd.â
After coming across many news articles about nannies mistreating children when their parents were not at home, Serenity was a little resistant to the idea of hiring a nanny.
âYou donât have to worry about that. I know a very good nanny. Iâll arrange it for you.â
Serenity looked at him again and laughed. âMr. York, I suddenly feel like youâre superman. Itâs like thereâs no problem you canât solve. And you even know a nanny?â
Zachary said in his heart, Iâll be superman for you only.
âI wouldnât bother if it were anyone else.â
1 1 1 âThe nanny of my ninth cousin brother still keeps in touch with our family. Sheâs an excellent lady. Sheâs attentive, kind, highly educated, and has very good morals. All the children raised by her turned out to be exceptional. If you donât mind, Iâll talk to my aunt and contact the nanny to ask her to come over and take care of Sonny.â
Serenity thought of Rowan. He was indeed a sensible child and was a happyâgoâlucky person. He was her favorite out of all her brothersâinâlaw.
âAll right, you can talk to your aunt and share with me the nannyâs number when you get it. Iâll contact her and talk to her about the rates.â
âSure. Itâs a little late now, so my aunt is probably asleep. Letâs not disturb her. Iâll call her tomorrow instead.â
Zachary was in a cheery mood after solving yet another problem for his wife. âIâll pay for the nannyâs salary. When she gets acquainted with Sonny, let her stay in our house during the day so she can look after the pets while sheâs at it. Sheâll also clean a little. Think of it as hiring a house helper.
TL âBoth of us donât come home till late. Youâll get tired if you stay up late or wake up early to clean the house. People who are not in the know might think that Iâm a slave driver for my wife.â
