Chapter 335
Married at First Sight
Chapter 335 Serenity would be returning to the store after breakfast while Zachary would be heading to the office. Since their routes were different, the couple drove their own cars separately.
They first went to Bright Boulevard to pick Liberty up.
They saw Liberty pushing her son out to the entrance of the neighborhood.
âLiberty.â
Serenity quickly got out and walked toward her sister after pulling the car over by the curb.
âAnt Swer.â
Sonny stretched his arms out for Serenity to carry him.
1 TL Serenity bent over and picked him up, rewarding him with two little kisses and that made the little one giggle.
When Zachary saw this, he wanted to shrink himself to become a twoâyearâold toddler so Serenity would kiss him too.
âWhy is Sonny up so early today?â
âI woke him up and fed him milk before coming out.â
Liberty nodded at her brotherâinâlaw and greeted him,â Zachary.â
âLetâs get in the car, Liberty.â As Zachary spoke, he stepped forward and loaded the childâs stroller into Serenityâs car.
âLiberty, are you taking public transportation to work?â
Serenity asked her sister while driving, âWhy donât you ride an eâbike? You can stuff it inside Zacharyâs car.â
His car was big, so there was no problem fitting Libertyâs small eâbike.
âThereâs not enough time. Iâll ride the eâbike to work tomorrow.â
Liberty deliberately changed into a more flattering outfit today, compared to the casual outfit she usually had on at home.
It had been a long time since she went to work. Now that she was reentering the workforce, she felt a little nervous. âIâll send you to the office later before heading to the store.â
âThat works too.â
Liberty did not turn down her sisterâs offer.
Serenity asked again about the reason Olivia and Chelsea came over.
âIsnât it obvious? Itâs that thing I told you about last time. They wanted me to pick up Chelseaâs children as well as cook for and tutor them, but I refused! Since Chelsea gave birth to them, she could take care of them. I donât have the time to care about her children. Besides, her children are like her. Taking care of them is just a thankless task.â
Her decision was made by putting aside her relationship breakdown with Hank. Even if they were getting along, she did not want to accept this kind of work.
She was tired enough taking care of Sonny alone.
âArenât your inâlaws helping with her childrenâs school transportation arrangement? Just let them handle it.â
Liberty sneered. âWill Chelsea be willing to let her parents take care of them? The two elderly get worked to the bone at home serving the family. All the living expenses that Hank gives them are spent on Chelseaâs family instead.â
âOnly your inâlaws would raise such a daughter.â
The whole family were all enablers for that sheâdevil. Serenity hoped her sister could get out of the Brown family soon.
LLLLLL âSeren, why did Zachary suddenly think of treating us to breakfast today?â
âDidnât you just find a job? He invited us to breakfast to congratulate you on getting a job. Youâre one step further away from the sea of suffering. Weâre all happy for you.â
Liberty laughed, thinking that her brotherâinâlaw was too courteous and attentive.
âZachary really is a good man. Seren, you have to...â
âTreat him well, yes. My ears are going to fall off with how many times you tell me that. Itâs not like I abuse him on a daily basis. I even bought him a couple of new clothes last night.â
Serenity suddenly remembered Zacharyâs little action at home earlier. He would usually not hang his clothes on the main balcony, as if he was afraid she would steal his clothes to sleep with. In short, he held his guard up like she was a thief.
However, he hung his clothes on the main balcony to dry last night. It was a little strange. No, it was incredibly strange. If she was not mistaken, the clothes he was checking on earlier were the same ones she bought for him last night.
