Chapter 336
Married at First Sight
Serenity remembered the brand of the suit she spent over ten thousand dollars to buy. There was no mistake.
She laughed to herself.
âZachary must have wanted to wear the new clothes. Thatâs the reason for all those little actions.
âItâs no wonder Nana said his still waters run deep. He wonât throw away the clothes I bought for him.
âSure enough, Nana knows her grandson best. She has a complete grasp over his personality.â When they arrived at Wiltspoon Hotel, Jasmine was already waiting there.
The group entered the hotel.
The hotelâs lobby manager recognized Zachary and put a smile on his face, about to greet him.
However, Zachary glared eerily at the manager, who was struck speechless.
âDid I do something wrong?â
The manager did not dare to greet or follow Zachary, so he stood still and watched as Zachary and his party walked away.
After an indefinite amount of time, he finally came back to his senses when he was tapped on the shoulder.
âMr. Callum?â
The manager looked at Callum like a savior. He grabbed Callum and whispered, âMr. Callum, I saw someone who looked very much like Mr. Zachary earlier, but I didnât dare to greet him because I was afraid I had the wrong person. However, he really looked like Mr. Zachary! The only difference was that there were no bodyguards with him.â
Yes, he must have mistaken the person just now.
Mr. Zachary had bodyguards following him wherever he went. Even though the man earlier looked exactly like Mr. Zachary and even had the same glare, they were not the same person.
Callum quickly asked, âDid you greet him?â
1 1 âI wanted to, but I didnât dare to after he glared at me. Thank goodness I didnât greet him, or itâd have been embarrassing,â the manager answered. If his real boss found out that the manager mistook someone else for him, the manager might end up getting fired. âThatâs good. If you see Mr. Zachary without his bodyguards with him in the future, just pretend that you donât know him.â
The manager was confused. âDo you mean that the man earlier really was Mr. Zachary?
âIf it was, why do I have to pretend to not know him?â
Callum patted the managerâs shoulder. âJust keep my words in mind, and I guarantee that your work will go smoothly. Youâll get a promotion and a salary bump too. If you donât listen to me, donât blame me for not telling you about this when you lose your job one day.â
The manager was speechless.
âAlso, if Iâm with Zachary when he doesnât have bodyguards around, donât call me Mr. Callum either.
Understand?â
For the sake of his promotion and salary raise, the manager nodded his head repeatedly. âYes, I understand!â
Callum patted his shoulder again and said, âNot bad. You have potential.â
Then, he walked away.
Since Zachary appeared here without his bodyguards, he must have brought Serenity over. Callum had to go over and greet his sisterâinâlaw.
He entered the restaurant but could not find his brother and sisterâinâlaw. That was because Serenity and the others just exited when he entered, but they did not bump into each other. With that, Callum did not get to meet his brother and sisterâinâlaw.
âZachary, Iâll send my sister to work first. Sheâs going to be late.â
Serenity knew her sister was anxious. Liberty kept looking at the time on her phone.
She could not be late for her first day of work.
Serenity did not know that her sister had to run five laps before she could go to work.
Liberty usually lacked exercise, so she would most likely need more time to run five laps.
That was why she was anxious.
âAll right. Drive carefully,â Zachary urged.
Serenity responded and they walked away.
Jasmine also said, âIâll go back to the store first, Mr. York.
Thank you for treating me to breakfast.â
Zachary nodded. Jasmine left the hotel and rode away on her small eâbike.
