Chapter 356
Married at First Sight
Chapter 356 The people who Serenity cared about the most were her sister and nephew.
Pleasing Sonny would earn Zachary some brownie points.
Zachary bought the bag of snacks because Serenity was a foodie.
Serenity might not be so happy if Zachary gave her a bunch of flowers, but she would definitely smile when she saw this big bag of snacks.
Zachary walked into the bookstore with a bag of snacks in his left hand and an airplane model in his right. At that time, Serenity had just finished feeding her nephew a bowl of porridge. âUncle Zak!â
The little guy was overjoyed to see Zachary.
Serenity saw the toys that her husband bought and said, âMr. York, why did yr âibuy toys for Sonny again? Jasmine already bought him new ones.â
Zachary handed the bag of snacks to Serenity and gave the airplane toy to Sonny, then he carried the little guy.
âSonnyâs our only nephew. Who else can I spoil if not him? What Ms. Sox bought for Sonny is her business. It doesnât clash with me.â
Serenity put the empty bowl on the table, looked through the bag on the floor, and said, âAre these all snacks? You bought so much?â
âSonny is bored here, so I bought him some snacks.â
It was obviously for Serenity, but when he was facing her now, he got tongueâtied. Thus, he used Sonny as an excuse.
âMr. York, youâll spoil Sonny like this.â
Serenity did not think much about it.
âSonny is very smart and sensible. As long as we teach him well, heâll know whatâs right and wrong. He wonât be spoiled.â
Serenity looked at him.
Zacharyâs ears gradually turned red because of Serenityâs stare.
âMr. York, you seem to talk a little more than usual.â
Zachary was speechless.
He thought she would praise him for being handsome.
It turned out that she thought he talked too much.
Was she trying to say that he had a long tongue?
Nana has always said he was inarticulate, but now that he said a few more words, his wife thought he was talkative.
Jasmine came oâ of the bathroom and saw Zachary. She greeted Zachary with a smile and said to her friend, âSeren, Liberty is about to get off work. You already fed Sonny, right? You and Mr. York should bring Sonny to pick Liberty up from work. Iâll man the store.â
Serenity hummed and took the bowl into the kitchen to wash.
A few minutes later, Serenity took some snacks from the bag and gave them to Jasmine. She said, âMr.
York bought too much for Sonny. Iâll give you some.â
Jasmine did not refuse them.
Serenity carried the bag of snacks and said to Zachary, âMr. York, letâs go.â
Zachary saw that Serenity wanted to bring the bag of snacks back to Libertyâs house and was a little anxious. He scolded himself, âWhy canât I just tell the truth in the beginning?â Zacharyâs expression remained calm as he said, âSerenity, you donât need to bring this bag of snacks home. Just put it in the store. Sonny comes here every day, so let him eat them slowly.â
Serenity heard this and thought about it before she said, âIâll bring half to my sisterâs house so that Sonny can eat some at home. Iâll keep the other half in the store.â
Serenity liked to eat, so she could share the snacks with Sonny. Zachary stopped talking. At least Serenity left half of the snacks in the store, so she could still eat them.
