Chapter 3626
Married at First Sight
Sariyah continued, âAunt Audrey is the eldest daughter of the former Matriarch, and Clarissaâs niece. With Grandpa Jimenez back, Iâm sure Clarissa will invite us all under the pretext of welcoming Aunt Audrey and Grandpa Jimenez.â
She added, âThen my master, Mr. Dakota, and I will search the Farrell mansion again. Unless Clarissa swallows the gun, we canât cut her open to find it. But with our skills, we wonât fail.â
Everyone knew Clarissaâs tactics well.
At around ten oâclock that evening, the doorbell at the Queen familyâs house rang. It was the Farrell familyâs butler, delivering an invitation from Clarissa. She invited Audrey and the group to a dinner at the Farrell mansion the next night, under the guise of welcoming Audrey and Old Mr. Jimenez.
The dinner party was for the Farrell family members with some status.
Clarissa made it clear it was a family dinner, so the Queen family wasnât invited. She didnât want to be their enemy.
Audrey told the butler, âTell your matriarch weâll arrive on time tomorrow evening. Make sure thereâs plenty of food and wine. Since sheâs welcoming me and Uncle Jimenez, everyone should eat and drink well.â
The butler replied respectfully, âMadam, Iâll convey your message to our matriarch.â
Audrey added, âIn Jensburg, I prefer people to call me by my name.â
After a brief pause, the butler, still respectful, said, âIâve delivered the invitation as instructed. If thereâs nothing else, Iâll report back.â Audrey nodded.
The Queen familyâs butler escorted the Farrell familyâs butler out.
After the Farrell familyâs butler left, Audrey glanced at the large stack of invitations. She told everyone, âWe have a banquet tomorrow evening. Letâs eat and drink well before we go out. Donât drink even a drop of water at the Farrell house. Be cautiousâClarissa might poison the food and drinks.â
Lilian yawned. It was time for her to rest.
She had been extremely busy lately, performing several operations daily.
This trip to Jensburg with Audrey was supposed to be a break for Lilian. She just wanted a good nightâs sleep, knowing she had to face Grandpa Jimenez tomorrow.
After hearing Audreyâs warning, Lilian said, âWith me here, what are you afraid of? Unless that old witch Clarissa uses instant-kill poison, she wonât dare poison the food with her own family present.â
Audrey, knowing Lilianâs skills, smiled. âDr. Carden, youâre right. But you should eat something before we go. You never know how long the argument will last. You need to eat well to have the energy to fight.â Lilian agreed.
Zachary then said, âAunt, I think Clarissa is more likely to set fire to the house, trapping us inside to die with her. Dunn probably prepared plenty of gasoline.â Liberty added, âMr. Dakota said heâd replace the gasoline with water.â
Everyone smiled.
They knew Clarissa was planning something and were already thinking of ways to counter it. But they hadnât anticipated what Dakota and his apprentice were up to.
Both Zachary and Clive were relieved they had never crossed paths with these old masters.
