Tatum walked over with Alonzo and Angelo.

Elora looked at him and said calmly, “My two brothers really like you. You seem to be great with kids.”

Tatum replied, “I have a lot of brothers in my family. My youngest cousin is still in high school and won’t graduate until next June. I’m much older than him, so I often take care of him when I’m home.

I like being around kids.

My sister-in-law’s nephew, Sonny, also comes over a lot. He’s cute, well-behaved, and really sweet.

We all adore him. I’ve spent a lot of time with kids, so I know how to make them happy.”

Surprised, Elora asked, “You often help your sister-in-law with her nephew?”

Even though Tatum worked as her private chef, Elora knew he ran his own business in Wiltspoon.

She hadn’t expected him to have time to help with babysitting. It wasn’t even his own nephew—he was taking care of his sister-in-law’s nephew.

Tatum responded, “Not all the time. There are a lot of people in my family, and whenever Sonny visits, the older relatives love taking care of him. I just play with him. I’ve mentioned before that I have many brothers. Even though my father and his brothers don’t live together, they live close by, so we often gather for meals. It’s always lively, kind of like your family.”

Elora’s family had a similar dynamic.

The eldest household was respected, and the other families supported it. When big decisions were made, the eldest family took the lead, and there was no arguing or fighting between uncles and nephews. It was a harmonious family structure, much like Tatum’s.

It was clear that Elora had a good way of managing her family.

Right now, both Elora and Tinsley were in charge of the Ormond family. As the eldest sister, Elora had the final say, and Tinsley often followed her lead.

Elora said, “Your family sounds wonderful.”

Tatum came from a good family, and with his talents, he really was a great man.

“Miss, it’s windy outside. Let’s continue inside,” Joly suggested politely.

Elora motioned for her brothers to come over, took their hands, and led them inside. Tatum helped the bodyguard carry Elora’s luggage into the house, then quickly headed to the kitchen.

“Elora’s home!” Mrs. Ormond said with a smile as she walked over.

“Mom,” Elora greeted her. Noticing her father wasn’t around, she asked, “Is Dad not home?”

“He’s at your second uncle’s house playing chess. He didn’t know you were coming back today,”

Mrs. Ormond replied.

Elora sometimes informed her family when she returned from business trips, and other times she didn’t. This time, she didn’t say anything, so her brothers were happily surprised by her return.

“I’ll go call your dad to come home,” Mrs. Ormond said, getting ready to leave.

“Mom, it’s fine. I’m not a guest. Dad’s just playing chess. He’ll come home when it’s time for dinner,”

Elora said, stopping her mother from interrupting the game.

“Mom, weren’t you planning to go out?”

Elora sat on the sofa, waiting for her mother to join her before sitting down.

Mrs. Ormond sighed, “No, I didn’t go out. I don’t even know what to do when I go out anymore. It’s just shopping, beauty treatments, or playing cards. It gets boring.”

After marrying into the Ormond family, her main role had been to grow the family.

She felt bad for her husband’s family because she only had daughters. But fortunately, her eldest daughter, Elora, was capable and could support the family. Elora was even more successful than her father’s generation.
