Chapter 3652
Married at First Sight
Tatum walked over with Alonzo and Angelo.
Elora looked at him and said calmly, âMy two brothers really like you. You seem to be great with kids.â
Tatum replied, âI have a lot of brothers in my family. My youngest cousin is still in high school and wonât graduate until next June. Iâm much older than him, so I often take care of him when Iâm home.
I like being around kids.
My sister-in-lawâs nephew, Sonny, also comes over a lot. Heâs cute, well-behaved, and really sweet.
We all adore him. Iâve spent a lot of time with kids, so I know how to make them happy.â
Surprised, Elora asked, âYou often help your sister-in-law with her nephew?â
Even though Tatum worked as her private chef, Elora knew he ran his own business in Wiltspoon.
She hadnât expected him to have time to help with babysitting. It wasnât even his own nephewâhe was taking care of his sister-in-lawâs nephew.
Tatum responded, âNot all the time. There are a lot of people in my family, and whenever Sonny visits, the older relatives love taking care of him. I just play with him. Iâve mentioned before that I have many brothers. Even though my father and his brothers donât live together, they live close by, so we often gather for meals. Itâs always lively, kind of like your family.â
Eloraâs family had a similar dynamic.
The eldest household was respected, and the other families supported it. When big decisions were made, the eldest family took the lead, and there was no arguing or fighting between uncles and nephews. It was a harmonious family structure, much like Tatumâs.
It was clear that Elora had a good way of managing her family.
Right now, both Elora and Tinsley were in charge of the Ormond family. As the eldest sister, Elora had the final say, and Tinsley often followed her lead.
Elora said, âYour family sounds wonderful.â
Tatum came from a good family, and with his talents, he really was a great man.
âMiss, itâs windy outside. Letâs continue inside,â Joly suggested politely.
Elora motioned for her brothers to come over, took their hands, and led them inside. Tatum helped the bodyguard carry Eloraâs luggage into the house, then quickly headed to the kitchen.
âEloraâs home!â Mrs. Ormond said with a smile as she walked over.
âMom,â Elora greeted her. Noticing her father wasnât around, she asked, âIs Dad not home?â
âHeâs at your second uncleâs house playing chess. He didnât know you were coming back today,â
Mrs. Ormond replied.
Elora sometimes informed her family when she returned from business trips, and other times she didnât. This time, she didnât say anything, so her brothers were happily surprised by her return.
âIâll go call your dad to come home,â Mrs. Ormond said, getting ready to leave.
âMom, itâs fine. Iâm not a guest. Dadâs just playing chess. Heâll come home when itâs time for dinner,â
Elora said, stopping her mother from interrupting the game.
âMom, werenât you planning to go out?â
Elora sat on the sofa, waiting for her mother to join her before sitting down.
Mrs. Ormond sighed, âNo, I didnât go out. I donât even know what to do when I go out anymore. Itâs just shopping, beauty treatments, or playing cards. It gets boring.â
After marrying into the Ormond family, her main role had been to grow the family.
She felt bad for her husbandâs family because she only had daughters. But fortunately, her eldest daughter, Elora, was capable and could support the family. Elora was even more successful than her fatherâs generation.
