Chapter 3654
Married at First Sight
After hearing Alonzo, Mrs. Ormond quickly told him, âDonât eat too much. Tatum wasnât fired by your sister, so youâll get to enjoy his food every day from now on.â
âOkay, Mom,â Alonzo replied.
The two younger boys couldnât sit still. They jumped up and said to Elora, âBig sister, Angelo and I are going outside to make a snow turtle. His last one looked so real, but I want to make one even better!â
Elora smiled and said, âGo ahead. If you get too cold, come back inside.â
âGot it!â they said, running out to play. They didnât feel the cold at all.
Alonzo then ran back into the kitchen to ask Tatum what he was making for lunch. After getting a good answer, he ran back out, happy.
Unlike Alonzo, Angelo didnât ask about lunch. He knew Tatum was Eloraâs personal chef and heâd eat whatever was served, just like at his uncleâs house. No complaints, because everything Tatum made was delicious, especially the vegetables.
The two boys ran outside again to make more snow turtles.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Ormond asked Elora about her business trip. After looking her over, she said with relief, âItâs good you didnât lose weight this time, thanks to Tatum. You even look a bit healthier.â
Elora touched her face and asked, âMom, did I gain weight?â
Even on her trip, she hadnât skipped her exercise routine. The hotel had a gym, and she managed to squeeze in time every day. Tatum joined her, saying he needed to keep an eye on her to prevent anyone from flirting with her. He said Joly had instructed him to take good care of her.
Elora laughed. While working out, people did approach, but most of the attention went to Tatum.
Eloraâs serious, no-nonsense attitude made her seem cold to others. Even Tatum had thought she was as tough as Hayden when they first met. So, even if someone wanted to hit on her, theyâd back off after seeing her icy demeanor.
Tatum, on the other hand, with his calm and gentle nature, became quite popular with the ladies.
Many tried to add him on WhatsApp, but none succeeded.
Elora thought about teasing Tatum, but since they werenât that close yet, she decided against it.
From what sheâd observed, Tatum didnât seem interested in women, apart from his passion for cooking.
Maybe heâd been around too many beautiful women. After all, he was a company president in Wiltspoon, so heâd seen his share of attractive people.
What Elora didnât know was that Tatum took care of her like she was his wife. The men in the York family were devoted to their wives, and Tatum was no different. He had eyes only for his future wife, which is why no woman could ever add him on WhatsApp.
Elora thought that if Tatum truly wasnât interested in other women, it meant he wasnât a playboy.
Since her sister Tinsley liked him so much, maybe she should seriously consider matching them up.
She had done her homework on Tatum, and everything he said about his many brothers was true.
Families like his wouldnât mind if one of them came to live in Annenburg.
If Tatum was willing to settle in Annenburg and build his career there, heâd be a perfect match for Tinsley.
Tatum, however, would probably disagree with that plan. He had come for Elora, not Tinsley.
