Clarissa had repeated the thought in her head countless times, but nothing was happening outside.

She couldn’t understand why Mr. Dunn hadn’t acted. The moment seemed perfect—everyone was distracted, looking at the evidence and whispering. It was the ideal time to set the house on fire.

What Clarissa didn’t know was that Mr. Dunn had tried to follow the plan. But when he went to have gasoline poured around the mansion, he discovered that the barrels had been secretly replaced with water. There wasn’t even a hint of gasoline when he opened the lids. To confirm, they tried igniting the liquid, but it wouldn’t burn. Their gasoline had been swapped out without anyone noticing.

Meanwhile, Clarissa, standing in the yard under the scrutinizing eyes of everyone, waited in vain for the mansion to burst into flames.
