Chapter 411
Married at First Sight
Nana dragged her luggage and walked straight to the sofa. She sat down and said, âZachary, I want to move in with you and Seren.â
Zacharyâs face stiffened. âNana, you promised me âIâm not stirring trouble, so what are you so nervous for? What are you worried about?â Nana rebutted.
Following that, she said stubbornly, âIâve already been chased out of home by your dad and uncles. I have nowhere else to go, so I wanted to seek refuge with my grandson. Is that not okay? Are you going to learn from your dad and uncles and chase me out too?â
Nana sighed. âWhen you get old, you get hated. Wherever I go, I get chased away. Whatâs the point of raising sons? Whatâs the point of raising grandsons too? Itâs better to raise a sweet granddaughter.â
Zacharyâs expression was dark. âNana, my dad and uncles would never chase you away.â
Even if she wanted to move in with him, she should not tag his dad and uncles with a giant label of being unfilial.
Nana smiled cheerily. âI canât say it was my daughtersâinâlaw that chased me away now, can I? I gave birth to my sons, so no matter how I discredit them, they wonât take it to heart. I didnât give birth to my daughtersâinâlaw, so how could I discredit them?â
Zachary was speechless.
âAnyway, Iâve heard all about it.â
Zachary asked a little uneasily, âAnd what have you heard all about, Nana?â
âI heard your sisterâinâlaw is going to get divorced. Her crisis is your chance to prove yourself. As long as you help your sisterâinâlaw solve the problem, Serenityâs favorability toward you will continue to rise. Then, Iâll be able to carry my greatâgranddaughter in my arms!
âI missed out on so many good shows, so no matter what you say, I canât miss out on this one. So Iâm moving in with you two! If you donât let me do that, Iâll go tell Serenity that youâre being unfilial and that you donât want to take me in even when I have nowhere else to go.â
Zacharyâs expression was as dark as it could get.
âNana, can you be reasonable?â
âI have no reason to speak of that with you.â
Zachary was speechless.
âIâve even brought my luggage over already. If you donât let me move in, Iâll roll out a rug at the entrance of your place. If Serenity thinks youâre unfilial and wants to stop liking you, you canât blame me then, âkay?
âDonât worry, I wonât give your secret away. Youâve been hiding your identity and lying to Serenity for so long now. The longer you do so, and once it gets out, the angrier sheâll be. Iâm filled with more joy as I look on. I canât wait to see how youâll salvage the situation then!
ï¿½ï¿½Ü Üª Haha!â
Zachary kept a tight lid on his anger. This was his nana! His nana! He had to endure it. He could not let his temper flare, at all costs! âFine, fine, fine. If you want to move in, then you can move in.â
Facing his own nana, Zachary could only raise the white flag in surrender.
âNana, you must not have eaten yet, right? There are only five minutes left until work ends. You should hurry and get Callum to take you out to eat.â
Nana asked him, âWhy, arenât you eating? Or are you going to Serenityâs shop to eat? Can I follow you?â
âDonât you want to meet your greatâgranddaughter as soon as possible? If youâre constantly following me to thirdâwheel us, you wonât be able to meet her even in a few yearsâ time.â
âWow, youâve seen the light! Did the sun rise from the west? Or have I started hallucinating in my old age and heard wrongly?â
Nana took her phone out and said to Zachary, âZack, say that again a little louder so I can record that.
When Iâm bored, Iâll play it back to make sure I didnât hear it wrongly.â
Zachary was speechless.
Nana then glanced twice at her grandsonâs legs, and asked, âDo your legs hurt?â
Zachary did not respond, his expression sullen.
âIt was only a few days I hadnât seen you, Zack, but why do I feel like your face has swollen? Who punched you?â
Zachary continued to remain silent with that dark expression on his face.
