Chapter 486
Married at First Sight
Serenity climbed into his bed and lay down comfortably, saying, âIâve only slept in your bed once, but I feel like itâs particularly warm. Maybe itâs my imagination.â
She pulled the quilt up to cover herself and smiled. âGood night, Zachary.â
Zacharyâs dark eyes flashed. He stared at her for a long time before suddenly lifting the quilt off her and was about to pin her down.
However, she sat up and removed herself from the bed at once. She put on her slippers and left.
âSerenity.â
Zachary reached out to pull her back.
âI, uhâI need to use the bathroom.â
Aunt Flo might have come to ruin the atmosphere.
The man did not understand. âThereâs a bathroom in my room.â
âYour bathroom doesnât have what I need. Iâll come back to sleep in your bed after I use the bathroom, but I wonât be able to sleep with you for a while.â
Serenity pinched his face regretfully. âFatten up a little.â
No matter how slow Zachary was, he finally understood and slowly let go of his hand, letting her return to her room.
A while later, Serenity reâentered his room. Zachary had his back to her while hugging a pillow with both arms, seemingly sulking.
Serenity hesitated and thought, âShould I sleep in a different room?
Maybe I should. Iâll go back and sleep with Nana for the night.â
She turned around to leave.
âYouâre not even going to let me hold you?â
Huh?
Serenity stopped in her tracks and turned to look at the man who was sulking âIâm afraid youâll have a hard time if you hold me.â
âItâs better than sleeping alone.â
Since he was not afraid of being tormented, she did not hold back Serenity then cheerfully returned to Zacharyâs side, lifting the quilt while saying, âCâmon, donât give me that look. You look like a moping kid now.â
âIâm a man.â
âFine, a moping man.â
Zachary suddenly reached out and pinned her down. He leaned in and kissed her fiercely before he felt better.
Embracing his wife, he asked in a low and husky voice, âHow many days?â
âSeven plus three.â
âThat long?â
âI cherish my body. If you donât want to wait, weâll continue to sleep in separate rooms.â
It was not appropriate to do anything right after Aunt Flo left.
Her body was hers. She would not harm her body for the sake of his pleasure.
Zachary held her tightly. âDonât make it sound like Iâm a beast. Go to sleep. You have to work tomorrow.â
He pressed a gentle kiss on her forehead. âGood night.â
âGood night.â
Serenity adjusted her sleeping position and soon fell asleep peacefully.
Meanwhile, in the Stone familyâs villa.
Audrey sat on the bed, holding an old yellow photo she had kept for decades. As she looked at her sister in the photo and thought that the latter might no longer be alive, her eyes started to redden again.
A large hand reached out and took the photo from her hands.
âYouâve been staring at it all day. You refuse to eat and drink, and not even speak. Are you trying to worry me to death?â
Darrell was feeling distressed as he handed a tissue to his wife. âItâs yet to be determined, but youâre already crying. Maybe itâs not true this time either.â
The DNA test was not carried out yet, so it was still up in the air if Hunt sisters were truly his sister-in-
lawâs daughters.
