Chapter 579
Married at First Sight
Serenity laughed and said, âChelsea, you should go to the bathroom and wash your face at the sink.
Oh, wait, thereâs no faucet anymore. My sister paid for all the water pipes, so we sawed them all off I guess youâll just have to take a piss and see your reflection in it. Look at how big your face is.
âMy sister and your brother are divorced They have nothing to do with each other whatsoever How do you get off telling my sister to find a house for you to stay? Was it my sisterâs fault that you donât have a house to live in now? You were the ones who brought this upon yourselves.
âIf you guys had gone along and compensated my sister for her loss, you would have a place to stay now Alas, itâs really cold today. I wonder if youâll be able to sleep in a house full of holes.
âBut you have thick skin and flesh. If all of you huddle together, youâll be able to withstand the bitter cold wind.
âIf thereâs nothing else, Iâm hanging up now. Itâs very warm under the covers, so Iâm going to catch up on my sleep. Bye.â
Serenity hung up the phone.
Then, she blocked Oliviaâs number, just in case they refused to give up and kept calling to harass her.
After being hung up by Serenity, Chelsea was so angry that she cursed, âThat woman really pisses me off! Her tongue is so sharp. How can her man stand her?! Mom, what do we do now?â Chelsea asked her mother.
âWeâre already here and brought our family with us. We told the people back home that weâre spending the New Yearâs in the city. We canât go back now, right?â
âMommy, hug.â
Lucas woke up while in his fatherâs arms and reached out to his mother for her to carry him.
Chelsea hugged her son in annoyance.
She said to her father, âDad, I told you not to agree to Libertyâs request at the onset and not to transfer the money to her. Look! Now, we canât even find anyone to contact her. She wonât care about us since she already got the money.â
âItâll be hard to see Sonny again in the future. Youâve all been cheated by her.â
Chelsea had been having trouble with everything lately, so her temper was not at its best.
There was nothing to do at work, so the management granted her an early annual leave, but everyone else was still going to work.
Chelsea felt like her workplace was trying to force her out.
âCall Hank again.â
Mr Brown added, âLiberty held evidence against Hank. If we donât agree with her, Hank will lose his job.
Heâs earning so much now. The loss will be even greater if he loses his job.
âItâs very normal for Liberty to block us. With what you and your mother just said to Serenity, of course Liberty would block us. Otherwise, would she continue to allow you to harass her? When you guys calm down and stop pestering her, sheâll definitely contact Hank and let him see the child.
Besides, even if we donât know where Liberty lies, serenity wonât move her store. We can still contact Liberty if we go find Serenity at her store. Call Hank and ask him to find a place for us to stay. In the meantime, tell him to come over first. He then sighed heavenly and said what a mess.
A good family was torn apart. My private funds too. Olivia sat on a suitcase and said in distress according to Chelsea suggestion, I went to that womanâs grandfather and paid him to convince Serenity to persuade Liberty not to divorce Hank.
However, he took the money but failed to fulfill my request. They still ended up divorced.
My son lost more than a million for nothing, and the house renovations were smashed. So now our losses are even greater than expected.
I advised them against divorcing as the cost is just too huge. Olivia cried as she spoke. It was all money. Everyone in the family except for Lucas looked at Olivia.
