Chapter 790
Married at First Sight
âGo and freshen up. Breakfast is ready. Once youâre done washing up and weâve had breakfast, we can depart. You said itâs quite far, so we should leave a little earlier.â
âGive me a kiss.â
âWhy should I give you a kiss? Canât you give me a kiss?â
Zachary laughed and turned her around, leaning down to kiss her red lips.
Her pale hand, however, covered his lips.
âKiss me only after youâve brushed your teeth,â Serenity said as she pushed him away, turning to zip up the luggage.
Zachary was speechless.
He had just been repelled by his wife.
âWhile youâre at it, remember to shave your scruff off so you donât poke people with it.â
Serenity pulled the luggage with her as she left the room.
Then, she watered the flowers and fed her three pets.
The three pets would also have to be sent over to her sisterâs to be taken care of for a while.
âIâm coming, Honey.â
After Zachary had brushed his teeth, shaved his face clean, and came out from the room, he called for his beloved wife, âHurry and let me kiss you.â
Serenity came out of the kitchen while carrying the breakfast she had already finished preparing.
Zachary approached her and she passed the plate with the two big chicken thighs on it to him. He accepted it and pecked her quickly before following her to the table, satisfied.
âWhy are there two chicken thighs today?â
Serenity smiled as she sat down. âLast night, I dreamt someone treated me to a meal and the food was super delicious. I ate for a whole night until there were two big chicken thighs left, which I hadnât eaten.
I wanted to pack them up to bring home for you, but no matter what I did, I couldnât grab ahold of them.
âI only realized it was a dream once I woke up, but I still wanted to give you two chicken thighs to eat.â
Zachary was at a loss for words.
She was a glutton through and through. Even in her dreams, she was eating.
âI like chicken wings so I got myself two of them. Babe, can you help me get a disposable glove? I wonât get my hands if I eat with the gloves on.â
Zachary laughed. âI, your husband, am most delighted to serve you.â
He went and got her a disposable glove.
âWhat on earth were you up to last night?
âI had a dream for the first timeâa nightmare. When I woke up from the nightmare and didnât see you, I knew youâd gone out.â
Zachary said, âWhat happened in your nightmare? I didnât do much. Mr. Bucham invited me out to have a drink. I was afraid you would nag me about always drinking, so I didnât dare tell you about it.â
âDid you drink alcohol? I donât smell any. I dreamt we were having our wedding but suddenly Elisa appeared to tell me youâre a big fat liar, not to get married to you, and to leave you. She said youâve never been true to me and been lying to me this whole time. That shocked me awake.â
Zachary nearly dropped the chicken thigh in his hand.
Luckily, he was able to hold steady and held onto it.
âI thought I must have had a nightmare like that because you lied to me last night.â âYou know what they sayâyour dreams reflect your thoughts.â
