Chapter 822
Married at First Sight
âItâs not that heâs not afraid of losing her anymore, but decided to face the consequences of his deception. He has mustered the courage to face reality, but now, heâs going crazy from his fear and made another small mistake.â
Jasmine sighed. âWe can understand because itâs not happening to us, but we canât experience Serenâs hurt and anger. In any case, I wonât advise her. Even if I wanted to, I wouldnât do it now. Sheâs the one who was wronged, so why should I help Zachary? Wouldnât it make her feel more aggrieved?
âShe was tricked so badly by the person she shares a bed with. Are we supposed to advise her to forgive Zachary instead of helping her vent her anger? I canât do that. I would beat Zachary up on her behalf if I could.
âI wonder if Mr. Stone knows. He can step in to beat Zachary up since heâs her cousin. Iâll be relieved if I see that.â
Josh was speechless.
Zachary had indeed managed to infuriate a lot of people.
âOh, Elisa. She told me sheâd be back in two days. Sheâll know that Zachary is Serenityâs husband as soon as she comes back. She used to be crazy for him. Do you think sheâll do something to Serenity if she finds out that Serenity married him?â
Jasmine had a headache just thinking about it.
âI donât know whatâs going on anymore. Stuff like this is only supposed to happen in novels. Sure enough, fictions are inspired by real life.â
Josh quickly asked, âWhich novel is that? How did the male lead finally beg the female lead to forgive him? Iâll recommend Zachary to take a look and learn from it.â
Jasmine said honestly, âItâs a serialized novel, so the author hasnât written that far yet. I have no idea either how the female lead finally forgave the male lead.â
Josh looked at her, incredibly speechless.
âDonât look at me like that. Iâm not the author. The answer wonât come from staring at my face. If you really want to help Zachary, do as I say and advise him to return Serenâs freedom. Donât let him imprison her in his villa.
âEven if theyâre husband and wife, he doesnât have the right to restrict her freedom.â
Josh said wryly, âYou heard what Zachary said earlier. Do you think heâll listen to my advice now? Didnât you see that I hung up on him because I got so angry? Heâs convinced that letting Serenity out now is equivalent to losing her.
âHe wonât listen to anything anyone says now. Just leave him be. He has to be hurt before he can learn.â
Every human would experience hurt in their life.
The journey of growth was not smooth sailing and there would always be countless setbacks.
Jasmine was silent for a moment before walking away.
âWhere are you going, Jasmine?â
âIâm getting food. Iâm hungry since I didnât have lunch.â
Jasmine forgot to eat because of Serenity. If not for her hunger, she would not have remembered to fill her stomach.
âI havenât eaten either. Donât keep eating snacks. Iâll order food delivery.â Josh called Wiltspoon Hotel and made the order as he spoke.
