Back at the Mountain Villa, Xia Ning did not drive in but stopped her car at the gate. She knew a car was following her.

Xia Ning opened the car window and looked to the car next to hers. “Qiao Yu, why are you following me?”

Qiao Yu opened the car door and walked down. He looked at Xia Ning and said, “I just wanted to talk to you. Didn’t have a chance to catch up with you today.”

Xia Ning stared back at him and frowned slightly. “Didn’t I say that there is nothing left to talk about between us?”

“I know I was a total jerk before. Everyone said that to me and I myself realized as well. Xia Ning, could you just give me another chance?” Qiao Yu looked at Xia Ning and said seriously.

Xia Ning chuckled. She looked at him with a ghostly smile. “Do you have a fever or something?”

Even though he was mocked by Xia Ning, Qiao Yu did not lose his temper. He continued, “Xia Ning, I’m serious. Before, I didn’t know how to be a good husband but I’m willing to change now. I will do whatever you tell me to.”

“Qiao Yu, a good husband does not mean he has to do whatever his wife says but rather, he knows what to do himself.”

Xia Ning breathed slightly and looked to the front. “I’ve been very busy lately and don’t feel like talking to you about the past. What’s done is done. I don’t mind who was right or who was wrong. I just want to look to my future now.”

“I know it’s hard to get you to remarry me. So let me chase after you, okay?” Qiao Yu looked at her. His cold face paired with these words seemed rather funny.

Xia Ning raised her eyebrows. “Why do you like me anyway? My bad temper or me ignoring you? Are you asking me to shout at you again?”
