In the office, Qiao Yu looked at the cell phone’s screen frequently, waiting for the other party’s reply. But there was still no message after a long time.

He held the cell phone to watch for quite a while. Finally, he could only come to the conclusion that she did not see the message.

Qiao Yu spent the morning thinking over this matter. In the afternoon, as soon as Qiao Yu entered the office after finishing the quarterly summary meeting, he saw Mu Zichen and Gao Yang on the sofa.

Gao Yang got up and called Qiao Yu, “Brother!”

“Why are you guys here?” Qiao Yu’s gaze swept past the two as he walked straight to the desk.

Mu Zichen stood up, looked at Qiao Yu and said angrily, “Alex, are you still my buddy? I’m terribly hurt by the end of my relationship. You are still so composed.”

Glancing at Mu Zichen, Gao Yang was speechless. He did not look hurt at all.

After getting blind-drunk, he still looked as if nothing had happened to him.

“Every time you are hurt by the end of your relationship, won’t your pain disappear when you find the next?” Qiao Yu looked at Mu Zichen, ” I did not assign any tasks to you recently.”

He meant that he did not set Mu Zichen any tasks to give him time to look for another woman. How could Mu Zichen say that Qiao Yu did not care for him?

Mu Zichen’s lips trembled as he said, “Then at least you should have given me a call.” Saying so, he squinted at Qiao Yu, “Could it be that someone recently has no time to pay attention to others?”

“What do you mean?” Gao Yang looked at Mu Zichen. Didn’t Mu Zichen come to ask Qiao Yu for help? What was he talking about?

Qiao Yu’s gaze swept past Mu Zichen as he said, “If there is nothing serious, you can go out.” Saying so, he bent his head to sort the files.

“Hey, Alex, how can you be so merciless?” Mu Zichen looked at him, feeling speechless, “Can’t you understand jokes? How can you get Xia Ning back with your EQ? You are daydreaming.”

Qiao Yu stopped sorting the files. He looked towards Mu Zichen and said lightly, “Since you have a high EQ, where is your woman?”

“I...” Mu Zichen opened his mouth only to find he had nothing to say. He glared at Qiao Yu, feeling dejected.

Seeing Mu Zichen awkward expression, Gao Yang found it amusing. He explained to Qiao Yu, “Brother, don’t corner him anymore. Though he seems composed, he has long been upset deep inside. He is waiting for your suggestions.”

“Who wants his suggestions?” Mu Zichen glared at Gao Yang.

Gao Yang glanced at him, “Then why did you drag me here to see my brother?”

“I indeed came here to see your brother. But it is not him that I am looking for!” Mu Zichen snorted.

Qiao Yu looked at Mu Zichen and Gao Yang, frowning slightly, “If you cannot speak clearly, go out to think it over before you come in.”

“It’s really no bother. Let me tell you!” Gao Yang said directly, “It is because his woman deserted him that he wants you to help him get her back.”

Mu Zichen glared at Gao Yang, “What do you mean by the remark that my woman deserted me? I just cannot contact Wen Yue.” Saying so, he looked towards Qiao Yu, “Can you tell me Xia Ning’s cell phone number? She is Wen Yue’s friend, so she should be able to contact her.”

Gao Yang was left speechless, “Pretentious!” He turned to sit back on the sofa, for he did not want to reason with Mu Zichen any longer.

Qiao Yu glanced at Mu Zichen without a word. Putting important files into his briefcase, Qiao Yu packed up as if he was about to go back home.

Seeing so, Mu Zichen shook his hand as he said scornfully, “Nah, you are not helpful. Xia Ning does not contact you at all. Perhaps you don’t even have her cell phone number.”

After packing up, Qiao Yu glanced at Mu Zichen, “Go to my house with me or shut up.” Saying so, he went straight outside the door.

Looking at Qiao Yu’s back, Mu Zichen said to Gao Yang, “What does he mean?”

Gao Yang threw his hands up in the air to show that he did not know either. Perhaps they would not understand until they go to his house.
