Xia Ning heard this and frowned a little. She darted a look at Gao Yang and said coldly, “What do you mean, Young Master Gao? Are you looking down on people who grew up in the orphanage?”

Qiao Yu darted a look at Xia Ning and saw that she was a bit upset. He darted a warning look at Gao Yang.

Jin Yan took a piece and took a look. He said with a smile, “Good work.” As he spoke, he took a bite.

“Sister-in-law, I want one too,” Gao Yang said with a smile at once.

Xia Ning did not even look at him. She put the fruit platter on the table and went into the kitchen.

Seeing Xia Ning’s back, Gao Yang touched his nose. He just wanted to find a way out. But Xia Ning was not giving him face. So should he eat the fruit or not?!

Jin Yan looked at Gao Yang and said with a smile, “Xiao Ke’s temper is like this. She’ll be fine soon. Don’t mind her.”

The second these words were out, the smile on Gao Yang’s face froze. He turned to Qiao Yu at once.

Qiao Yu darted a look at Jin Yan and said calmly, “Yeah, Xia Ning always protects her family.”

“Yeah, I lost.” Jin Yan put the stone in the box and looked at Qiao Yu. “Even though Mr. Qiao won on the game, he might not win in every direction.”
