Xia Ning stared at the woman in front of her. No matter what, she was Jin Yan’s girlfriend. She was not happy with her but as long as she did not cross the line, she could tolerate it.

“Xiao Ke, do you want your braised pork with less sugar like always?” Jin Yan’s voice sounded suddenly.

Xia Ning returned to herself and answered, “Yes.”

“So you like braised pork.” Li Man looked at Xia Ning and smiled slightly. “I’m so envious of you. You don’t even get fat when you eat meat. I’m the kind that will get fatter even when drinking water. Therefore, I usually don’t dare to eat the good food Jin Yan makes. But every time, he will make me a lot.”

“Of course. You are his girlfriend so of course, he will make you a lot of good food,” Xia Ning said with a smile.

Li Man raised her eyebrows. “Yeah, Jin Yan is a very considerate man. He’s very considerate and gentle to his girlfriend.”

Xia Ning nodded and did not reply.

“Xiao Ke, come here and try this for me.” Jin Yan shouted to Xia Ning all of a sudden.

“Oh, coming,” Xia Ning answered and darted a look at Li Man. “Why don’t you go, Miss Li?”

“No need. I’m afraid of getting fat.” Li Man looked at Xia Ning and said with a smile.

But Xia Ning could obviously feel other emotions in her smile. She nodded and walked towards the kitchen.

When she got to the kitchen, Jin Yan put two pieces of braised pork belly in a bowl and gave Xia Ning a pair of chopsticks. “See if it tastes good enough.”

“The braised pork you make is always good. I don’t even need to try it.” Even so, Xia Ning still picked up a piece with her chopsticks and put it in her mouth.

“Be careful, it’s hot.” Jin Yan smiled and saw her eating happily. He could not help but ask, “Does it taste good?”

“Yup.” Xia Ning nodded vigorously. “Tastes great.”

“It’s all yours!” Jin Yan said with a smile and reached out to rub Xia Ning’s hair.

Xia Ning glared at him. “I just washed my hair this morning!”

Jin Yan realized something was wrong and took his hand back. “I was just joking with you. Why are you so agitated?”

Xia Ning saw Jin Yan’s casual look and turned around to look at Li Man who was sitting on the sofa. She was reading.

“Jin Yan, your girlfriend is here. Can you take it easy? Aren’t you worried that she might get mad?” Xia Ning could not help but ask Jin Yan.

“She won’t be mad.” Jin Yan looked at Xia Ning. “Plus, if she gets upset so easily, I can only say I found the wrong person.”

Seeing Jin Yan’s calm look, Xia Ning could not help but laugh. “Be careful what you say. She might really not want you anymore. Do you think just having looks is enough these days?”

“Thank you for the praise!” Jin Yan raised his eyebrows at Xia Ning. “Now that I’m in a good mood, I think the dishes I make will taste even better.

When did she praise him?. Xia Ning looked at Jin Yan in resignation and felt even more shameless.

After a short while, they started to eat. The table was filled with food. Xia Ning did not eat much for the entire day and was really hungry now.

Jin Yan saw Xia Ning burying herself in the food and wanted to laugh. He picked up some chicken and wanted to put it in her bowl. Suddenly, a bowl was blocked in front of him.

“I like chicken the most. Jin Yan, you are so good to me,” Li Man looked at Jin Yan and said with a smile.
