“Is he close to his girlfriend?” Qiao Yu asked suddenly.

Xia Ning thought about their interaction at the dining table and said with a smile, “Very good. Plus, they are childhood sweethearts. I guess we can receive their wedding invitation soon.”

Jin Yan was almost 30 and she had heard from him before that he wanted to settle down.

Besides, him having a girlfriend was already exposed. He should be settling down soon.

“If that’s the case, I’ll treat them to dinner next time.” Qiao Yu looked at Xia Ning. “I can’t always let them treat you to dinner.”

Xia Ning heard that and hesitated. She nodded and said, “Sure. Let’s see when we have time.” As she spoke, she walked towards the closet.

Qiao Yu stared at Xia Ning’s back with deep eyes. Jin Yan seemed to add a lot of unhappiness in their relationship. He felt that this kind of unhappiness would continue.

When Xia Ning came out of the shower, Qiao Yu was already lying on the bed and playing with his phone.

“I realized you like to play with your phone. What do you do normally?” Xia Ning asked. She walked to the bed and lay down.

“Just reading the news,” Qiao Yu answered.

Xia Ning darted a look at him in confusion. Did people nowadays like to play with their phones? She had never seen him like this before.

Back then, when he treated her coldly, he would also eat his meals orderly. So, was this a habit he got after returning to China?

Well, in the country now, you would die without a phone.

Seeing Xia Ning looking at him, Qiao Yu turned off his phone. “Go to bed.” As he spoke, he turned off the lights.

The room turned dark all of a sudden. Xia Ning stopped removing her robe and complained, “Why did you turn off the lights? I haven’t taken off my robe yet.”

Just then, the man next to her turned around and pressed himself against her ear. He bit her ear and said in a low voice, “Let me help you take it off.” As he spoke, he started to move.

“Stop it, Qiao Yu. I’ll do it myself. You can go.” Xia Ning pushed Qiao Yu’s hand away.

“Shut up!” Xia Ning covered Qiao Yu’s mouth immediately and did not let him speak. This guy was getting worse!

Qiao Yu saw Xia Ning’s angry face and reached out to touch her cheek. He moved her hand away and said with a smile, “Silly, if I don’t have any feelings for you, you will think I have a problem!”

“Do you have a problem?” Xia Ning glared at him.

“Don’t you know if I have any problems?” Qiao Yu chuckled and kissed her on the lips.
