Chapter 21- Planning

"So that was it Mr. Chivalry, I'm hoping you liked what we did," Rhea said and Mr. Chivalry stood up.

"That was an amazing presentation. You guys are getting much better day by day. Amazing," he clapped for Chase, Jeremy, Rhea and I.

"Thank you," we muttered under our breaths but he waited for us to something else.

"Alright we'll take your leave now," I said as all of us were about to leave but Mr. Chivalry stopped us.

"Are you forgetting something?" He asked and we started thinking.

He was talking about his birthday but it was a surprise birthday party so we couldn't let him know. Since today morning we have been avoiding saying happy birthday and told the rest of the staff to do the same.

"Oh yeah," I said in a duh tone.

"Yeah," he smiled and waited for me to say something but I walked up to the table and took my pen.

"Thank god you reminded me Mr. Chivalry or I would've forgotten my favorite pen. Thank you," I replied as I walked back to Rhea.

"Alright we'll leave you alone to do some thinking about the new project," Chase said as Mr. Chivalry sat down and all of us left his office.

"Think he is mad?" Jeremy asked as we walked in Chase' office.

"More like sad," Rhea replied.

"Guys this is horrible. We are doing a bad thing. Did you see his face? He seemed so sad that we forgot his birthday," I stated as Chase stood next to me.

"Olive it's just for couple of hours. He'll be fine, anyways it was your idea," he said.

"My idea was to throw a surprise birthday party and to avoid him all day so we won't have to lie, not to lie about his surprise birthday party to his face," I replied as Chase nodded.

"Let's get busy with the party and keep ourselves occupied. I know dad quiet well, he will ask us again if he sees us so let's go to the hall and get everything ready," Jeremy stated as he opened the door for us to leave.

"I can stay in the office and tell the staff about the party and distract dad with more work so he can't leave until he is suppose to," Chase suggested and looked at me.

I opened my mouth to say something but before I could, Amanda interrupted me. "I'll stay too and keep a lookout on him."

Without another word, I turned to leave but someone pulled my hand in theirs. I turned to see Chase holding onto my hand and intertwined our fingers together.

When Amanda's eyes fell on our intertwined hands, her expressions changed but she quickly covered it up.

"I'd like you to stay because dad listens to you more than me so you'll be able to keep him here until we need him back at the hall," Chase spoke as I nodded.

Amanda nodded slightly and left the room.

"I like what you're doing Chase, keep it up," Rhea stated before Jeremy and her left the room, leaving Chase and I.

"You didn't answer my question earlier," Chase said, pulling me to him and my hand landed on his chest while the other was held behind me by Chase'.

"What question?" I asked avoiding his question.

"You don't remember?" He teased and I denied. "Well I was talking about-" before he could finish, Mr. Chivalry stormed into the office.

"Oh I'm so sorry, I'll come later," he said as he turned to leave.

"No it's fine," I said as I pleaded chase to let go of my hand and he did.

He turned to face us and cleared his throat, a small smile playing on his lips.

"Needed something dad?" Chase asked and Mr. Chivalry stopped smiling and looked at him.

"No I was just checking up on you," he replied and Chase gave me a quick glance.

"Why?" Chase asked.

"I wanted to tell you something," he said.

"I'll leave you two to talk. If you need me, you know where to find me," I said more to Chase than to Mr. Chivalry.

I left Chase' office and walked to mine. Outside everybody seemed to be distracted by work and no one wished Mr. Chivalry, a happy birthday.

I feel bad for Mr. Chivalry but he'd be very happy with the surprise birthday party that we are throwing him.

I sat down on my chair and opened my laptop to do some work. Suddenly my phone rung and I picked it up on the third ring.

"Hello?" I started.

"Hey tutu," Cherry chirped on the other side.

"Hey cherry, what's up?" I asked.

"Nothing I was just planning a dinner for tomorrow and you are coming with me," he said.

"Um... okay," I replied.

"Perfect it's at 7 P.M. So be ready you'll be picked up," he suggested.

"But who's coming?" I asked.

"You, me, and Krystle," he said after a short pause.

"Krystle huh? Is it official?" I asked, smiling to myself.

"Engaged," he shyly replied and I could tell that he was blushing.

"Oh god that's amazing," I replied and he agreed.

"Alright I'll be ready," I said and just as I was about to cut the call I heard him asking for me.

"Uh tutu, I never got to ask you but why was Chase looking at you like that?" He asked.

Okay both of them have been asking me about each other. I smiled of how protective they both were about me.

"Like what?" I asked.

"Like I look at you," he stated and I chuckled.

"What?" I asked confused.

"Like he knows you well and cares for you," he replied.

"No it's not like that," I replied nonchalantly.

"Yeah it is. When you were talking to me his eyes were wandering aimlessly on you. He seemed pissed when I kissed you goodbye and said I love you," he explained and I wandered if it was true.

"I don't know," was all I could say.

"Tutu do you like him?" He asked and I nodded then realized he couldn't see me.

"Uh-Yeah," I slowly said.

"Does he?" He asked.

"Yeah I guess," I replied, not knowing if he did or not.

"Is he anything like Richard?" He asked and my smile turned into a frown.

"No," I answered fast.

"Okay great. Then he has a chance," he replied, happily.

"Chance? At what?" I asked.

"At impressing me and getting you," he simply stated and I chuckled.

"Okay so now he has to go through you to get to me?" I asked.

"Yeah isn't that what older brothers are for?" He simply said.

"Well yeah," I looked at the door, waiting for Chase.

"Tell him to be ready for the dinner, I guess it'll be a double date," he said as I cut the call.

It had been almost half hour since I was waiting for Chase, suddenly Rhea barged into my office.

"It's all ready so get ready and get Mr. Chivalry to the hall down the street," Rhea said and I slowly nodded.

"What happened?" She asked, not leaving me.

"Chase is taking forever with Mr. Chivalry," I frowned and Rhea chuckled.

"He's coming in a while," Rhea replied as a smile fixed on her lips.

"How do you know?" I asked and Rhea simply looked at me.

"I know everything," she replied and left.

Everybody is working and I'm just sitting in my office, waiting for Chase. He is affecting me but in a good way I guess. It is so funny how chase gets jealous of Cherry but he doesn't know that Cherry is my cousin. I smiled to myself, imagining chase' face when I was with Cherry.

"Sorry I'm late," Chase said, barging in my office and held a box in his hand.

I looked at the box and looked away. "What happened?" he asked coming to me.

"Nothing," I replied.

"Well this is for you," he said handing me the box.

I took it and looked at him. "Open it."

I slowly opened the box which revealed a red dress. I took it out of the box and it felt soft. It must be quiet expensive.

"I can't take it Chase," I said as I gave him the dress back and he frowned.

"What? Why not?" He asked, not taking the dress from my hand.

"Because it's expensive," I replied and he smiled.

"So?"

"So I can't take it."

"Yes you can and you will."

"No I can't and I won't."

"Okay so now that we are together, I wanted to give you a small gift."

My brain got stuck when he said we were together. So are we official? The whole staff and others know about us so now I guess we are official.

"But I don't have anything for you," I replied.

"I just need you. You're my gift," he smiled and came closer to me.

In a matter of seconds our nose were touching and we were just inches apart. I could feel his minty breath, on my cheeks. He came a bit closer but then he backed away.

"No pressure, I'll know when you're ready," he said before leaving.

Isn't Chase such a gentleman? He wouldn't kiss olive because she's not ready. I want Chase, he is goals!
