You're my humanity ; Hope Mikaelson ✔︎
âNarrator's perspectiveâ
(Author's note: When they got back from Maple Hollows, the next day was the full moon. I couldn't fit my story straight with the timeline all messed up. Sorry if you get confused!)
(While Arabella is investigating something, Mg and Landon are visiting Mg's parents for the spring break.)
(You can ask questions and I'll try my best to answer if you don't understand.)
"You are impossible." Arabella whined, getting kidnapped by a witch that left her with no choice. "Penelope, seriously where are we going?" She asked again through the woods.
Penelope ignored her, still focused on what she discovered over the spring break. They were walking around the woods, The Vampire between them didn't really know where they were going.
"Penelope, I'm serious. Tonight is a full moon and I'm not keen on letting a wolf bite me in less than 10 hours." She warned again, seeing the familiar Lockwood transitional cellar. "What are we doing here?"
"Would you please don't freak? I skipped my spring break over this." The witch finally spoke, pushing the gates downstairs to open.
"Oh, I started freaking out when you pulled me away from the school. I didn't had the chance to tell Hope..." Her words got trailed away, stopped walking when she saw a man tied up on the metal chains inside a cell.
Arabella frowned, he was unfamiliar to her but why was Penelope showing her this? More importantly, why did she tie a random man up?
"He was about to barge in the school, Arabella." Penelope breathed out, getting inside the cell with the vampire close-by and looking at the man. "He found me first and started to ask questions about you."
"I don't know this man, Pen." She said honestly, still had her eyes on the unconscious stranger. "Did he hurt you? What'd he say?"
"He was about to but I got to him first." Penelope informed, grabbing a phone from the ground and tossing it to her. "Found it in his pocket with no passcode. I read the messages and everything is directed to your number."
Arabella opened her mouth to speak but she got too invested on the phone. What messages? She swiped it open and went through the message inbox.
She frowned even more, all these messages concluded to the ones she was getting for the past few months. "What the hell?" She whispered, looking over to the phone. "Penelope." Arabella called, finding a certain picture on his phone and showed it to her.
"Am I suppose to know who that is?" She asked concerned, looking at the unfamiliar faces of a woman on a portrait, taken as a picture by the phone.
"No. But I know. I need you to cloak us." Arabella said in panic, taking off her jacket and tossing it across the room. "I can't have anyone knowing this and can I trust you that you won't tell anyone?" She asked, breathing heavily.
"Okay you're weirding me out. Do you know him?" Penelope asked, crossing her arms, looking at the blonde who looked like she'll break at any point. "Arabella. Who was that?" She asked referring to the photo.
Arabella closed her eyes shut and took a breath. "I massacred a coven of witchesâ my coven. The woman was part of it and I am going on a limb here and guess that this man is her husband." She said, gesturing to the man.
"You did what? Wait wait, You killed an entire coven?" The witch exclaimed in shock. "I'm not judging you but, why?" She asked.
"They're all assholesâ Penelope please cloak us." She pleaded, sweating badly.
"Cloak? Why? We should tell Dr. Saltzman or Hope." Penelope couldn't believe the words coming out her mouth but century years old vampire who she doesn't know is in the same room as her? Not a good idea.
Arabella panicked and shook her head. "No! No. Hope doesn't need something this big to worry her. I'm trusting you here, Penelope. Unless you want to back off of this. This is not your fight."
"Oh, please. Who would wake him up and cloak you? I'm staying." She said seriously, "Looks like you have a Vampire to interrogate while I cloak us. You ready?" Penelope asked, standing besides the Blonde while they looked at the stranger.
"Wait wait." She said and turned to the witch who already had her hand up. "If something happens, him getting out, I need you to run." Arabella warned. She could feel Penelope about to protest so she continues. "I can't die. There isn't a weapon that can kill me so I can handle myself and I can't risk anyone getting killed because of my doings."
Penelope sighed, closing her eyes and shook her head. "Fine. It's your death wish ." She waved her hand upwards and spelled. "Surgere."
The man's head twitched and eyes shot open. He looked up and blinked, trying to collect his thoughts back up. "You." He said when he saw Penelope and was about to pounce but realised his hands were chained on the wall.
"Okay, go cloak us. We'll have a little chat." Arabella said, kneeling to his height. "Who the hell are you?" She questioned coldly.
Penelope eyed them before going to the other side of the cell to do the spell. She tried to voice out everything to focus and she did.
"I'd be damned... Arabella Black grown a pair out of all these years." He chuckled manically, groaning when a huge wave of headache hit him.
"It's Arabella Salvatore, and I will not ask again. Who are you?" She asked, glaring at him more impatiently.
"You don't remember me. My name is William Arthur. Ring a bell?" He arched his eyebrow, weakly looking at the blonde who scoffed.
She nodded, "I remember. My father's bestfriend, secretly in love with my very loyal mother. How the hell did you get Vampire blood?" Arabella questioned, maintaining her emotionless look.
"Let me loose. Maybe I'll answer your questions more honestly." He bargained, pushing his luck but got severed when Arabella laugh.
"You really don't have a choice in the matter." She said and gripped his throat, making him look up to her eyes. "Who the hell gave you Vampire blood?" She compelled, or tried.
"Nobody. I saw Marcel Gerard slip his blood in the wine you drank." He non-knowingly confessed and he smirked. "I picked up a little trick over the years. Don't think I didn't think about your compulsion skills."
Arabella glared and ignored him. "Why now? Why come after me after all these years?" She questioned again, ignoring Penelope's presence that appeared behind her, who in fact just finished cloaking them.
"Because now you have a person you love. The tribrid, The Mikaelson." He said and laughed after that was said. "I am going to enjoy hearing her scream in pain when I get my handsâ"
"Shut the hell up!" She shouted, gripping on his throat more tightly, about to destroy his windpipe.
"Arabella." Penelope called out, a phone ringing on her hand, Arabella's phone. She handed it to her when the Vampire stood up to take it.
She paused, seeing Hope's name pop out on the contact. "No." Arabella said and closed her phone, throwing it outside the cell room. "You will not get anywhere near her, do you understand me?" She pointed at William aggressively.
"You are weak." He laughed, seeing the fear across her eyes when he mentioned Hope's name. "You and your mother always were deadweight in the coven."
Arabella controlled her rage, turning to Penelope instead. "Did you cloak us?" She asked, crossing her arms.
"Yeah but can you tell me what's going on? I'm starting to get worried." She asked, cocking her head to William who was looking at them blankly.
"Oh I can tell you all about it. It starts with how Arabella was born with her purple eyes and powerful genetic." William said, leaning back to the concrete wall.
Arabella sighed, closing her eyes knowing this will happen again. Why can't her past leave her alone? She gestured him to go on and the two girls were standing while he talked.
"I knew your father since we were children. He's my bestfriend since I was 4." He started, seriously speaking. "When Emmett met Aurora, they instantly clicked and fell in love. But I was in love with her first, I got greedy one day and swept her up her feet."
"Lies. My mother loved my fatherâ even though he was a psycho." She spat, crossing her arms in a huff. Penelope looked at her, somehow telling her to calm down.
William scoffed bitterly. "Yes she did. Aurora and I had a moment when Emmett had to travel overseas. It was only a moment but we had something."
"I'm sorry but I wanted to know what happened to your coven, not your love life." Penelope said, leaning on the bars besides Arabella.
"I'm getting there, witch." He said, Penelope rolling her eyes. "But first, I have the liberty to destroy Arabella's life by a simple sentence. All her life, she thought of Emmett as her biological father."
Arabella dropped her arms to her side, heart very undead heart beated rapidly. But then again, why would it? She laughed bitterly. "Stop lying already. You can't manipulate me."
"Oh I am not." William said, kneeling to lean over to get closer to her. "I'm your father, Arabella. My bloodline is what made you the powerful witch in our coven."
"Stop, Lying!" She shouted and kicked a rock nearby, it flying across the concrete wall and the debris falling. "I don't know who the hell do you think you are, I would suggest you refrain from manipulating me before I pull out your tongue." Arabella exaggerated.
"Okay, Calm down. Calm down." Penelope called out, going between her and William before the Blonde could even do something drastic.
"I am not manipulating you..."
As the heated argument went on for hours, William explaining what happened to his marriage and everything, the sun went down already. The full moon about to be at its peak that Arabella destroyed her phone so that Hope wouldn't contact her.

"I don't know why my locator spell didn't work." Hope said in between her breathless manner, a flashlight on her hand while they walked through the dark night.
"If you can't find them, it means they're being cloaked orâ"
"Or they're dead. I'm aware." Hope cutted him off, heart rate increasing.
"What would possess them to leave campus? And what about Arabella? Why are they so irresponsible ?"
Hope's breath hitch by the mention of her girlfriend's name. "They wouldn't. Something must have happened." She argued and they saw Rafael by a corner. "Raf? Raf!" Hope ran over to the wolf who looked beaten up. "Hey, are you okay?" She asked in a concern tone.
"Mg... Landon... Arabella..." He mumbled loud enough, the trauma his experiencing was too much for him to handle.
"Hey, what's going on? Where's Arabella?" She asked in a more soothing tone. Rafael turned his head to meet her eyes in a desperate manner.
"I can't remember..." He whimpered in realisation.
