Chapter 1226 - An Yang and Jiaojiao (3)
From Sidekick to Bigshot
Previously, he tried fighting back against his mother. He also tried to resolve the root of the problem. However, all of his efforts were in vain.
His mother was incredibly stubborn. In fact, she even threatened him with her own life. As a result, he could do nothing at all.
After An Yang left the Jian Residence, he drove by himself to the hotel.
On the way there, his mind was filled with the figure of Hu Jiaojiao.
Even though it was more than a year since he had seen her, her appearance hadnât changed much.
She was cute like always.
An Yang couldnât help but recall those fond memories when he got together with Hu Jiaojiao.
His lackeys would call her their sister-in-law;
And when he went to play basketball, she would go to watch and cheer him on.
Together, they would go to street stalls to nibble on a midnight snackâ¦
And the first time they kissed in a classroomâ¦
And the times they took strolls through their universityâs walnut forestâ¦
He taught her how to rollerskate and how to play baseball.
He took her skiing and surfing.
Regardless of what she did, she didnât catch on fast. She was silly and clumsy like always.
However, An Yang found this trait very endearing. In his eyes, she was really cute. He wanted to protect her.
Yet in the end, he couldnât protect her.
On the way back to the hotel, An Yang received a call from his mother:
âDid you go to Beijing?â as soon as the call was answered, An Yangâs mother questioned her sonâs whereabouts.
âYep.â
âWhy did you go there? Are you going to find that girl with the surname Hu again?â
âMother, Iâm taking a temporary break from university. In the future, I intend on completing my degree. Furthermore, this time, Iâm visiting Beijing because of my Boss.â
An Yangâs mother knew that Jian Yiling was An Yangâs Boss.
However, she didnât object to this.
After all, calling her âBossâ was just another nickname. On top of this, An Yangâs mother supported this friendship for a number of reasons.
First of all, the Jian family was a powerful and prestigious family in Hengyuan City. Their legacy lasted well over hundreds of years.
Second of all, Jian Yiling was very intelligent. She excelled in all different aspects of life.
And finally, Jian Yiling was Zhai Yunshengâs fiancee. She was going to be the future matriarch of the Zhai family.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Therefore, no matter which way you looked at it, Jian Yiling was a very good friend for her son to have.
And thus, An Yangâs mother supported her son when it came to maintaining this friendship.
âI donât object to that. However, you have to remember that you have nothing to do with that other girl anymore. Youâve already broken up with her. No matter how she clings to you, youâre not allowed to associate with her anymore okay?â
In An Yangâs motherâs eyes, her son finally got rid of Hu Jiaojiao. She didnât want him to associate with her anymore.
âMother, she never clung to me before. She never did and she never will,â An Yang repeated again. This point had been reiterated by An Yang numerous times. However, not once did his mother listen to him.
âWhy are you still speaking up for her? Youâve broken up already. I will introduce you to a girl who is the right match for our family in a couple of days. Then, you will surely forget about her. Do you understand?â
âI still have other things to do. I will hang up now,â An Yang said quietly. He didnât want to listen to his motherâs nagging words anymore.
He had listened to these words numerous times in the past two years.
âOkay okay, take care of yourself then,â An Yangâs mother said. As long as her son didnât contact Hu Jiaojiao again, she wouldnât comment any further.
When An Yang arrived at the hotel, he quickly fell asleep.
Perhaps he was tired from the plane ride or perhaps, his heart just felt tired.
Either way, he quickly fell asleep. After he fell asleep, An Yang had a dream. In that dream, he didnât break up with Hu Jiaojiao. Instead, they went out on a picnic with Jian Yiling and Zhai Yunsheng.
After waking up, An Yangâs heart felt emptier than ever before.
