Chapter 1226 - An Yang and Jiaojiao (3)

Previously, he tried fighting back against his mother. He also tried to resolve the root of the problem. However, all of his efforts were in vain.

After An Yang left the Jian Residence, he drove by himself to the hotel.

On the way back to the hotel, An Yang received a call from his mother:

“Did you go to Beijing?” as soon as the call was answered, An Yang’s mother questioned her son’s whereabouts.

“Yep.”

“Why did you go there? Are you going to find that girl with the surname Hu again?”

“Mother, I’m taking a temporary break from university. In the future, I intend on completing my degree. Furthermore, this time, I’m visiting Beijing because of my Boss.”

An Yang’s mother knew that Jian Yiling was An Yang’s Boss.

However, she didn’t object to this.

After all, calling her ‘Boss’ was just another nickname. On top of this, An Yang’s mother supported this friendship for a number of reasons.

First of all, the Jian family was a powerful and prestigious family in Hengyuan City. Their legacy lasted well over hundreds of years.

Second of all, Jian Yiling was very intelligent. She excelled in all different aspects of life.

Therefore, no matter which way you looked at it, Jian Yiling was a very good friend for her son to have.

And thus, An Yang’s mother supported her son when it came to maintaining this friendship.

“I don’t object to that. However, you have to remember that you have nothing to do with that other girl anymore. You’ve already broken up with her. No matter how she clings to you, you’re not allowed to associate with her anymore okay?”

In An Yang’s mother’s eyes, her son finally got rid of Hu Jiaojiao. She didn’t want him to associate with her anymore.

“Mother, she never clung to me before. She never did and she never will,” An Yang repeated again. This point had been reiterated by An Yang numerous times. However, not once did his mother listen to him.

“Why are you still speaking up for her? You’ve broken up already. I will introduce you to a girl who is the right match for our family in a couple of days. Then, you will surely forget about her. Do you understand?”

“I still have other things to do. I will hang up now,” An Yang said quietly. He didn’t want to listen to his mother’s nagging words anymore.

He had listened to these words numerous times in the past two years.

“Okay okay, take care of yourself then,” An Yang’s mother said. As long as her son didn’t contact Hu Jiaojiao again, she wouldn’t comment any further.

When An Yang arrived at the hotel, he quickly fell asleep.

Perhaps he was tired from the plane ride or perhaps, his heart just felt tired.

Either way, he quickly fell asleep. After he fell asleep, An Yang had a dream. In that dream, he didn’t break up with Hu Jiaojiao. Instead, they went out on a picnic with Jian Yiling and Zhai Yunsheng.

After waking up, An Yang’s heart felt emptier than ever before.
